You people are funny, the whole thing is comedy

Obi has two main challengers, Atiku and Tinubu

Atiku is still benefiting from the Vice-Presidential pension package enacted while he was Vice-President

Tinubu is benefitting from the Governors pension package enacted while he was Governor

But you guys problem is Obi who has not recieved one kobo since he left office?

The whole thing is comedy
Obi has no right to pretend as a saint over a law that he signed. If I cook a food and decided not to eat out of it, it's my business. Whether he receives or not, he signed into law a bill that legitimized pension benefits. End of story.

Then, why did you conclude that Peter Obi signed the bill into law when the news never reflected it? The news only said the bill was passed by the House of Assembly and no trace that the bill was later assented to.
When the bill was passed there was news that there was uproar in the state, at least there should be a follow up news that the bill people complained about has been signed by Mr. Governor but you fall to the gimmicks of nickvill without going through the link.
The bill has become a law while repealing the previous one.

With the passage of the law, the Anambra State Governors’ Law, 2005 and the subsequent amendment were repealed. Cited as the State Governors Pensions Law, 2009

Mr. Man, I am not arguing that the law wasn't passed. The National Assembly passed many laws but do all finally assented to. No. And there is no time a law is going to be assented to that news will not picked it. Show me news where Peter Obi assented to or signed the bill into law.
At least if he assented to it in 2009 and from 2009 till 2014 he left office, he should have paid at least one year pension to Ngige and the person before him.
It was same you people that are flying about where Ngige said, he has never received any pension from Anambra.
If he so believe in it and sign it, it means he want to implement it and for good 5 years, he didn't implement it. Please let us apply our brain on issue.
During his time, Anambra state doesn't have such law.
A bill does not becomes a law unless it has been assented to. Ngige may choose whether or not to collect his pension - it's his choice.

There exists a pension law in Anambra? And Obi voluntarily chose not to benefit from it? How many people would do that? The fact that Obi is entitled to pension benefits by law, but willingly rejected it, is all the more reason to respect the man
You can't reject something you willingly signed into law, he should have rejected the bill instead. Ngige also "chose" not to collect his. It is rather a matter of choice.

He said he has not collected a kobo since he left as Governor, that shows he is a man of principle and proved so by his actions, no matter what he signed into law or not.

Fidelity bank is where he put Anambra state money. He could have easily put it in a Swiss account and you would not be talking about the money today as you wouldn't even know it had been stolen. But Anambra State knows where the money is because Obi said so.

He did not invest any money in his family business, SABmiller is a German owned brewery and not Obi's family business

You guys should stop all these lies against Obi
His words do not match his actions. In Anambra, there exist pension benefits law signed by Peter Obi.
It is rather easier to have tranches of funds diverted into private purse through a bank you owned with your tracks easily covered.

You guys just allow nickyvil to just use your head as an enlightened fellow. There was no where in the link that mention that Peter Obi signed or assented to the bill passed by the House Assembly.
There was even an uproar when the House Assembly passed the bill and the erudite governor then, Mr. Peter Obi yielded to the voice of reasoning and never sign the bill passed.
nickyvil only confused bill passed to bill assented to or signed.
A bill can be passed and not signed and that abounds.
You guys should try reading through the link before jumping to take them hook line and sinker. No single news that says Peter Obi assented to the exgovernors and their deputies pension bill. No single one.
During Peter Obi there was no such law.
With the passage of the law, the Anambra State Governors’ Law, 2005 and the subsequent amendment were repealed.

Two questions to show who is stupid.

1.
Is Obi the first governor to sign the bill?

2.
Apart from Obi, is there any other ex governor who rejects the benefits approved in the bill?
The question is, is there a law for pension benefits in Anambra?, did Obi sign it or not?. Heck, by his admission and boasting, I was thinking nothing of such bill existed in his state, little did I know that the hypocrite was the one who penned the bill into law. This information is indeed an eye opener, Obi would always be caught in his web of lies and deceit. You can't open a door for people to enter and then turn around to say you weren't part of those who enter the room. Who opened the door?, who signed the bill?
Its entirely a different kettle of fish if he chooses to collect his pension or not, it's a personal decision. I learnt Ngige also denied receiving any pension benefits. We don't know if other Governors from other states are not collecting theirs as well since we have no proofs yet.
Honestly, Obi is becoming more shamelessly ridiculous every passing day.
Politics › Re: Peter Obi Signed Pension Bill For Former Anambra Governors in 2011 by femisplash: 12:40pm On Dec 01, 2022

Your logic is so childish and weak. Many States adopted the bill before and after 2009. This means it is a normal practice in every State in Nigeria. Obi signed it because it is the normal thing in Nigeria. He then rejected the entitlement to show he is personally against the will. Obi signed the bill because the stake holders and the State house of assembly wanted it. Only a tyrant will refuse to sign the bill.

A governor is not the one who proposes a bill in a State. A governor only signs a bill when majority in the State house of assembly approves the bill. A selfish governor can bribe some house of assembly members to propose a bill that bill in turn serve the governor's personal interest. But in this case, Obi rejected those things. Had it been he accepted those entitlements, it will be believed he lured the house into passing the bill.
The more you look stupid trying to insulate Peter Obi. He was a sitting Governor who signed the bill into law. Pension benefits became legal and legitimate as signed by Peter Obi, whether he " chooses" to collect his benefits or not is immaterial. If he didn't want it, he would have refused his assent, he was a second term Governor and almost all the members of the house were already decamped to APGA, so there was nothing to fear. In the history of the country, it was only Obi that had the state's funds domiciled in his Fidelity Bank, thereby boosting the net worth of the bank with state's funds, he also invested state's funds into his family business, thereby ripping off dividends into his private pocket as a shareholder. Not forgetting him diverting 250 million monthly from Anambra to his Lagos office until he was caught in Lagos. Obi stole, raped, and robbed Anambra while giving them a greek gift. He took NEXT Mall which could have offered employment to Anambra youths to Rivers State. If there's any greatest fraud in the history of mankind, it is Peter Obi.

So, APC now wants to scrutinize the manifesto of the man they claimed has no structure?

Wow. This is unbelievable. Labour party and Obidients are truly pressing their necks.
Remember that it was the man that has no structure who was pleading to have a debate with the Jagaban, in return, he was giving some conditions to fulfill if he wanted his dream come true, unfortunately, he hasn't yielded to any of the conditions 48 hrs after. He hasn't because he knows he can't lace Jagaban's shoe in all ramifications, It will be easier for an elephant to pass through a needle than Peter Obi sit on same podium with the Jagaban.

They should go to the Twitter page of these ex players and do their best to make them see reason not to honor any so called match for APC. They have to be made to understand the need for them to be seen as apolitical. Thank God, Okocha is tied up in Supersports discussing world cup.

The conditions are an impossible task for Pandora to fulfill. Tinubu has made it clear that it would be a disgrace mentioning the name of the Agulu rodent much less sitting down on same podium to a debate. When Tinubu was fighting the military junta to restore democracy, the Agulu rodent was hiding under his bed in Agulu.
Tinubu will be rubbing minds with the world powers in a week's time while Peter Obi remains on Twitter wrestling with his shadow.

His reason was that he wasn't comfortable with the lukewarm attitude of some northern governors towards his campaign.
