At the residence of Jimi Craig.


Imade and Jimi sits closely on the couch, they stare fixedly into each other eyes, almost inhaling their own breath. Gently their lips locked and they kiss slowly, In a while they stopped.


Imade utters something silently. Jimi who didn’t hear her utterance whispers back to her.


“What is it ?”


Looking quite timid, she didn’t reply.

Jimi couldn’t get enough of Imade’s pretty face, he kept staring at her so closely.
The two seems longing for each other, again their lips meet and they begin to kiss.

Later in the evening. Imade sits besides Jimi in his car as they drives along the free way to drop Imade at her place.


“Jimi, i would love to get some cakes at any nearby mall.”


“Oh...........cakes ?”


“Yes.”


“Ok, i know of a cakery where they make very good cakes.”


“Sounds like you visit there often, do you love cakes?”


“Not really, a friend of mine (Tokunbo) does.”


They both enjoy the music playing at the background while they drive.

In a short time, Imade and Jimi moves around the confectionery store. Imade looks so excited to see varieties of cookies and pastries.


“Wow !............ Here is just like Lily vanilli cakery in London.”


Suddenly, a lady’s voice draws Jimi’s attention, of course the voice sounds so Familiar. Jimi turns to take a look.


Surprisingly, he sees Tokunbo (his ex).


He fixed his gaze on her. Tokunbo who isn’t aware that someone is gazing so much at her walks effortlessly to the checkout counter to pay for her goodies.


Jimi who is so carried away watched Tokunbo till she walks out of the confectionery store.
Immediately Jimi becomes quite edgy, clearly he is bothered but he tries to keep his self control.


Shortly Imade rounds up and they both left the cakery.



Late in the evening of thesame day. Jimi sits alone at the bar in his abode, worries spreads across his face while he nursed his cup of drink.
He picks his phone to place a call


“Hello Mabel! (Tokunbo’s cousin)”


“Hi Jimi ! long time”


“Yeah long time............Mabel i need to see you, i have something important to discuss with you.”


“Hope no problem.”


“Not really, but it isn’t a phone talk.”


“.................okaayyyy.”


“Newton’s lounge, 4.00 pm by tomorrow. Will that be convenient? ”


“It’s okay by me, i will try to make it there.”


“Thank you Mabel , goodnight.”


“Good night Jimi.”


Jimi hangs up.

At the Hilton’s conference room, it’s a gathering of executive directors from different corporate bodies. Jimi sights Imade George as she stands up to give her short presentation. Jimi’s gaze is so fixed on her and his face beams with a smile.


Few hours later, the two stands facing each other.


“Am so surprised to see you.”


“Same here, my dad encouraged me to always attend business conference, this in particular.”


“I must say your delivery was excellent. “
“Thank you !”
“Errrmm........ I was thinking if you wouldn’t mind me hosting you in my residence for the weekend . “
“This......................weekend?”
Sounding like it won’t be possible
Immediately Jimi interrupts
“Pleassssss......................Your Royal majesty Imade George.”
They both chuckles
“Ok, I will create a time.”


“ Thank you.”


The two walk side by side and their conversation continues.

Later in the afternoon at Imade’s office.


She holds the telephone close to her ear speaking with the receptionist.


“Am expecting a visitor, her name is Oyin, call the security to inform them to let her in when she is around.”


“Yes ma.” The receptionist replies.


In a short time, Oyin makes her way into Imade’s office. Imade stands from her chair to join Oyin as she drops heavily in the couch.


“Uuuuuuuh..........” Oyin sighs


“How are you ?” Imade asks


“Very hectic day, I had to stop by to see my Auto mechanic. I can’t wait to get home, i really need to rest.”


Imade walks to the fridge to get Tokunbo some drink .


“So how was the business conference you plan to attend ?”


“It was good, i did my presentation and the funniest thing is that Jimi came for thesame conference “


“Really........”


“Yes We chatted after the meeting and he suggested to host me in his residence for the weekend.”


“So what did you tell him ?”


“Errrrmm...............”


“Ermmmmm. ....... what ?” They both cracks up.


“okaayyyy........... I told him that I will create a time.”


Oyin coughs
“This wedding bell is so going to be loud very soon.”


She smiles coyly.


“Imade believe me when I tell you this, that guy is drop dead charming..................then he is rich, we find such guy attractive . Imade, here is not London, this is naija. Grab that Jimmy guy with your two hands.”


“huuuhhh...........okay.” Imade sighs

THE INTERIOR OF D’ FRESH CUISINES OUTLET.


Tokunbo picks a serviette to clean her mouth after wrapping up her lunch. She pours some juice into her glass then resumes back to her phone.


The doorkeeper opens the door, Oyin and Imade walks in. The two looks around to find the most convenient space for themselves. They walk towards the end of the room and both conclude to take their seat with Tokunbo who is busy with her phone.


“Hello !” Oyin and Imade greets Tokunbo


Tokunbo tilts her head Up a little.


“Hi !” she replies the two.


“Hope you don’t mind us joining your table ?”


“Oh, not at all. The table is meant for four, besides am about to leave.”


Sounding so polite with her Voice.


The two takes their position, leaving Imade and Tokunbo sitting side by side.


What a small world, little does Tokunbo know that the lady sitting beside her is her Ex (Jimi) soon to be girlfriend .


A wait staff quickly approaches Tokunbo’s table to clear her plates, while another takes Oyin and Imade’s menu order.


As Tokunbo stands to take her leave, a lady who has been looking fixedly at her, suddenly stands from her seat and takes a quick walk towards her.


“Hello !”


“Hi !” Tokunbo replies


“Pardon me, have been staring at you for a while. I guess you are Tokunbo of CRYSTAL skin products.”


“Yes I am.”


“Oh.............my ! Am so pleased To Meet You, I follow you on Instagram and am a user of your skin products, I must confess your Products are wonderful on the skin.”


“Wow..........! You just made my day with such excellent ecomium, I appreciate your patronage.”


“You are welcome ! Forgive my manners, my name is Tessa. I just met you today, but I feel like have known you for years already, Permit me to beg a favour of you.”


“Ok.....................Anything.”


“I will like to have your digits, and here is an invite to my coming birthday. I will simply love to have you at my birthday party.....................”


Tokunbo collects the invitation card and briefs it. She bobs a nod


“I’ll try to attend............and this is my complementary card, you have my digits on it.”


She gives her card to Tessa.


She takes the card from Tokunbo, staring at it admiringly.


“Good to meet you Tokunbo.”


“Good to meet you too! See you again.”


“Alright, take care.”


As Tokunbo walks towards the parking slot, her phone rings.


“Hello Ebuka !”


Ebuka (Tokunbo’s ex best friend) is sitting in his car in thesame premises, he had come around to get some French fries. There he sighted Tokunbo walking towards the parking slot, he decides to play a little prank on her.


“Hello Ebuka !” Tokunbo speaks again.


“hmmmm.............. I think you are wearing a black dress with pink sneakers and a pair of sunglasses.”


At once Tokunbo takes a halt with a surprise look, she chuckles a little.


“....................then I guess you are some where around D’FRESH CUISINES .”


“Of course am somewhere around and not too far from you. My car is parked close to the spring.”


Tokunbo moves with the phone on her ear, while She locates Ebuka’s car.


Ebuka opens the car door.


“Can’t believe you still have my digits on your phone.”


Tokunbo mentions as she takes her seat shutting the door.


Guilt crosses Ebuka’s face, gently he opens his arms and draw Tokunbo closely.


“Forgive me Tokunbo for not checking on you all the while............. I feel guilty already because things didn’t work out between you and my best friend Jimi.”


Still holding her closely, he apologise again.


“It’s okay .......” she mumbles


Ebuka’s closeness to Tokunbo is suspicious . Even Mabel her cousin once questioned her if she was also dating Ebuka along with his friend Jimi.


May be it’s all an infatuation. Ebuka is so attracted to Tokunbo..... .......And this he once confessed to Jimi That He Was Crushing On His Girlfriend.
On a every opportunity Ebuka finds with Tokunbo, he never seize to pamper her.


Gently, she pulls away from his hands.


“Am sorry about the break up.” He utters


“Uuuuuuhhhh. ........... life happens.” She shrugs


“So any new relationship yet ?”


“Relationship ? No way............not even now. Ebby (Ebuka) I just want to concentrate on my business nothing more.”


Ebuka gives a nod.


“That’s a nice one, and a good way to move on.”

He picks one of Tokunbo’s hands playfully.


“look Tokunbo,........... Anytime you are bored, just call me and I will come take you out.”


She smiles timidly.
