Ekiti is doing good. Don’t worry about Ekiti coz I haven’t heard anywhere where Ekiti indigenes are escaping from their state because of poverty like Ebonyi people.

We have this ranch in Ekiti that need workers, can you help us bring cheap labor from Ebonyi? At least they can feed on cow remains so hunger won’t kill them like those Kwashikor people in Biafla war.
The problem is that extreme poverty makes you visionless, the ones with small poverty Atleast have the small clarity of mind to move out and find solution to their problem. What is happening in Ekiti is extreme poverty, you will just be dreaming about food whether awake or asleep, nothing else grin

Must you turn everything to tribal wars. Is it not ridiculous to give someone 80k as car loan when one tyre of car is 40k. It is about the totality of failure of Governance in Nigeria. Rest small with your Tribalism

Ekiti state workers will collect 80,000 car loan, go and buy 2 car tyres keep, maybe wait for the next administration for another car loan for the other 2 car tyres, like this before you retire, you would have gathered the whole car parts, then during your retirement, you will start building your car. E sweet to be Ekiti worker gringrin

Hmm 🤔. Na huge inflation in the economy caused it

1 million naira stock my dad bought for us in 2002 is now valued at N11K” – Craze Crown cries out

He said that in 2002, their father, concerned about their future, decided to buy shares with the expectation that they would appreciate and convert into a large sum of money.

“You have failed as a mother if your son prioritizes you over his wife” -Skit maker Craze Clown

Craze Crown, a popular comedian, regrets the discovery that the one million naira stock his father purchased for them 11 years ago is now worth only N12,000.

The legendary comedian made the announcement on his Instagram page while lamenting the country’s current state.

He said that in 2002, their father, concerned about their future, decided to buy shares with the expectation that they would appreciate and convert into a large sum of money.

Unfortunately, this was not the case, as the currency had devalued to 11,561.46.

He was furious at how worthless it had become and questioned what he was supposed to do with such a small sum of money.

https://www.gistlover.com/1-million-naira-stock-my-dad-bought-for-us-in-2002-is-now-valued-at-n11k-craze-crown-cries-out/
The Irony of it is that most of the company's CEOs whose wealth are dependent on those companies have their wealth increasing everyday, For example people who bought UBA shares decades ago will likely have their share values at nothing but Tony Elumelu whose major source of wealth is from UBA is having his wealth doubling every few years, How come?. Nigeria is just an active crime scene

I stays in an apartment that has five 5flat , each flat occupied with 5 different tenants including myself. Before we uses direct electricity which we collectively pays monthly but recently got change to prepaid meter. With each fat with it own prepaid meter. The landlord refuse to bring another prepaid separately for the compound water Pumping Machine.
However the tenants come to dialogue and agreed to tap electricity from my own prepaid meter to the pumping machine in agreement that each tenant will be paying me 1000naira monthly. So I want to know if 5k can be enough to run pumping machine for a month?
My compound has a meter separately for pumping machine, we spend averagely 3,000 for it. We are 3 families in the compound with population of just 7

looking at all their comments you will understand that church in Africa thrives on the principle of fear. So their major fear in life is, "if they are not attached to their pastor, they will all die in Poverty". Religion in Africa is just thriving because of ignorance nothing else. None of them love the real idea of God they claim to worship

I read that at 95% Nigeria is next only to Afghanistan at 98% as the MOST PRAYERFUL COUNTRY in the whole world.

It is not a coincidence that both counties are the most corrupt and two of the fastest decaying countries of the world.

Whereas on the other hand, China at 1%, UK at 6% and Switzerland at 6% are ranked as the LEAST PRAYERFUL COUNTRIES in the whole world.

No surprise.

Ironically, my people in Nigeria are praying, fasting, casting and binding and their Pastors are Prophesying for them to get VISAS to go and slave it out in those foreign, less prayerful countries by adding to their LABOUR FORCE and helping to improve the PRODUCTIVITY in those countries.

My people won't have much space to PRAY when they get to Europe. It is all round work else you don't survive.

We were never like this. We were targeted and railroaded into the situation we find ourselves and the people we have become today.

We were deliberately misguided and pulled out of our various peaceful and less congested locations where we are very productive, and brought or perhaps forced out to live the congested city arrangement where we became much less productive and dependent on the finished goods from the lands of the people who railroaded us into the cities.

We need to reverse the sequence that brought us here

The very first step to take control of our lives is to MAN UP TO THE PEOPLE DOING THESE THINGS TO US.

There is an urgent need for a reversal of the trend of Rural-Urban Migration.

We must become INDUSTRIALIZED and the very start point is massive investment in AGRICULTURE.

The various Governments at state levels must work out ways to decentralize their city centers by at least adding value to the rural communities such that our people can return to rejig our society from the very base.

But we are not doing this.

The controllers of our National life are making certain that RELIGION is permanently on the top burner for us and in our consciousness. They are funding these people you see carrying ÒSÙKÁ on their heads and the PASTORPRENEURS to do what they do.

They are making certain through their activities that AS A PEOPLE we are permanently glued to religion and forever listening to the ADEBOYES of this country.

Pastor Adeboye's recent comment on the ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN crises, calling for prayers for Israel, is enough to reveal his hypocrisy, insincerity.and true self.

These people are agents of NEOCOLONIALISM. I don't think anyone should argue this!

I just realised that I have been deceiving myself, that I don't even believe in most of the things they preach in church, I was just forcing myself to believe them, like going to heaven, like the cock and bull story of Tithes and offering. I only see the smarter persons outsmarting others either to enrich themselves or up their social standing. Even their sole aim of preparing for their life after death, a communal life that is supposed to take care of every member has been discarded a long time ago for oppression on who bought the best cars, best houses, who dresses best, who has the most influence, who has the best spouse and the best children, who receives the most of their imaginary miracles .Everywhere reeks of hypocrisy. I just left the whole brouhaha behind and since then I never felt I missed anything and I have learnt to take care of myself, understanding that successes and failures , pains and joy are all part of life, you will always meet all in your life irrespective of who you are, or who you claim to serve. Above all we all must die and be forgotten

Properties / Re: My Landlord And His Dad Just Beat Up My Co-tenant by Ferdinandu(m): 9:03am On Sep 09, 2023
Mustiboy:
Hi, everyone,

I'm in dire need of advice.

We had prepaid issues in the house where I'm a tenant. There are accumulated bills on the prepaid, which the landlord has failed to sort out for months. This caused some sort of altercation between he and another tenant over the phone(Mr X).

The landlord told him to move out and refunded his remaining rent.

Now the Landlord and his father came for a meeting with the rest of us today and accused Mr X, who has already moved out last week, of taking things from the house, things such as breaker box and some minor things.

It happened to be the time when Mr X himself came to pick up one of his properties left in the house – a cupboard.

He overhead everything and tried to clarify that he didn't. Just then, the landlord's father started insulting Mr X, who didn't even retaliate or say anything.

The landlord jumped on board and said Mr X must pay for everything. He ordered a guy that came with him to lock the gate of the compound, saying Mr X is not leaving.

Mr X has myopia and is always wearing glasses. The landlord seized Mr X's clothes and threatened to beat him up, even dragging him around and tearing his clothes in the process. He literally rough-handled him like a kid.

His father also charged forward and punched Mr X in the eye, kicking and wanting to beat him even more. Mr X fell on the floor in tears. All this while, I was recording. The landlord even took up a piece of wood at some point, threatening to deal with Mr X with it.

They seized his glasses, denying him proper eyesight and even tried to seize his phone as well.

Mr X was not allowed to go out until external intervention, which came as a plea from neighbors, further massaging the landlord's ego. The Landlord and his dad literally beat Mr X up and shamed him out of the compound and the area at large, hurling insults at him and also cursing his dead father.

I really feel bad for Mr X. I've sent videos of everything that transpired to him. He doesn't know what to do and feels the landlord used his power and position to beat him when he has done no wrong.

The landlord has also boasted that he'll use his power to ensure Mr X is sacked from his place of work.

I'm also bereft of ideas on what to do. How do we press charges going forward?

This matter must not be swept under the carpet.

The landlord is in his 50s, while his father looks 80. I'm not sure of Mr X's age, but he should he in his mid – late 30s

I don't know if this is the right section for this. Mods please move to frontpage
