All I see is assumptions upon assumptions nothing more. What is wrong if there is a clash in your area and I asked you to leave or avoid going out? The provisions in CAC registration said in summary that the license for any organization can be revoked if it goes against it's own principles and poses a threat to/does not confirm to the laws of the land (Nigeria). If it were that bad why hasn't there been a court injunction to withdraw the CAC licence? It is preposterous. BAN is whatever it means to you, you call it a cult so be it, you call it a humanitarian group so be it. You become a member today following through the right channel and you decide to cease to be a member nobody will stop you, after all you joined voluntarily. We have had many cases like that, no threat to life whatsoever like you see in the movies and read on papers and blogs about BAN. Sailing is for the willing. I have not seen any organization on earth that does not have internal fracas be it a family, political parties, church, mosques, hospitals, etc that someone will be making it look peculiar to BAN. I grew up to see cute, shy, lovely boys become cultists and became really bold. Then they became terrifying, unambitious, irrational, violent and it continued to spiral downward from there. Lots died, some are alive today, their life has no meaning. Some made it through but are always thankful they escaped because it could have easily been them on the receiving end, it could have been you too.

We know bad things happen to non-cultists too but the University system isn’t set up to kill young people, send them to jail, turn them to drug addicts, maim them or turn them to prostitutes. Cultism as it is today is set up to do all that. Is it then not clear that if we extract cultism out of our schools, system & society, we will all be better for it as a people and a community?

I’m glad you made it through but think about the other who didn’t. Visualize how things turned out for you and how you could have been the one at the receiving end. Losing admission where you schooled and having to go elsewhere could have turned your life on its head. Even in the school where you studied, wrong company, being at the wrong place right time, right time wrong place etc. could have messed things up for you. These are the little details you have taken for granted.
