Jameek:
There are about two stores in my location that sell Xiaomi . Those are my first options and I'll definitely verify the device before I proceed to pay.
Otherwise, there are nairaland online sellers with good reviews that I'll choose from, one of which is nurex01 because I have read so many good reviews about him over the past few weeks and he seems like a very jovial guy

Am curious to know how you intend to this before paying for the device other than color of the pack.

Themaths:
Boss, right now, options are limited. Let me go with the one that is available first. This screen looks expensive

Yeah you should but if I were you i would still go ahead to order the UV glass now(delivery is the issue). The clarity of that gorgeous AMOLED display has to be maintained. Speaking from experience.

Themaths:
Were you able to get the screen guard

For curved screens, UV tempered glasses are always the way to go if you want to retain the touch sensitivity plus want the FP to work. Using a phone with curved screen comes at a price especially if you want to use a tempered glass given the limited option.

bennyefosa19:
The Redmi 9 seems to be a really solid smartphone under 55k range. All of the specs are damn good for a cheap price tag as this:
6.53-inch IPS LCD Display, 1080 x 2340 pixels (395 PPI)
Android 10.0; MIUI 11
MediaTek Helio G80 (12 nm)
3GB RAM or 4GB RAM
32GB / 64GB Built-in Storage, with Micro-SD Support
13MP + 8MP + 5MP + 2MP Quad Rear Camera
8MP Front Camera
Fingerprint Sensor (Rear-Mounted)
Fast Charging (18W Capacity)
5020mAh Non-Removable Li-Po Battery

So I have a hunch that this will be one of the most sold phone at this price right now. The design is stylish and the configuration is impressive. What do you guys think ?

Take this discussion to the main thread.

This is serious oo. Please what do you guys have to say about my order, it's has been like this for 16days. Does it means the item is still in China?

I don't know you, couldn't care less if you are disappointed. Before I purchased the phone I already told him I dont know anywhere in lagos and the situation around me I can't go out, that's why I had to buy the phone online and I paid for dispatch service so it comes directly to my address. I tried the first suggestion he made about changing the head of the charger and the same problem persist. As for the second suggestion, I have statedly severally I don't have a cable that will fit the port. And I do not want to order online since I'm not certain that's the issue. So when ever I am able to get it I'd try it. I am not in your age grade that wouldn't own up to an error if I made one. But I made no error and nothing has changed, phone still has charging ish. So I haven't realized anything.
When I get the chance to try another cable I'll inform you guys. It's however unfortunate that all these issues is coming up for a device that's barely 3days old

Ma if you are in Lagos, pls send a dispatch to come pick up a USB C cable from me on Monday. PM me . My number is on my signature.

The thing no shock you? I just scrolled to the post after it.

Elder0001:
Rn7 and rn8 are a complete failure in the battery life aspect.

BTW, haven't you been using the phone since that 7am? Cuz it is silly to expect it not to drain if you've been using it.

@the bolded is so untrue. Na wa o.

Elder0001:
Not all refurbished phones are problematic. Incase you don't know, most of the iPhones in Nigeria are refurbished(talking about UK and US used iPhones which are the majority in Nigeria).

I've used three UK used iPhone, which from their model number I discovered they were refurbished but never for one day did I experience any problems with any of them.

Simply put, You can accurately know if an iPhone is brand new, Refurbished, Replaced or a personalized device by checking the Model number/Letter.
If the Model number/Letter starts with letter M, it is/was a brand new iPhone device that was purchased at authorized apple stores and has not been worked on, If you see N then it means it is a refurbished, F also means refurbished and P(very rare)is a personalized device. Personalized devices are iPhones that have some extra security on them, they usually ship on demand but Apple generously includes some P devices on their pool of consumer retail phones.

This long article just to let us know most refurbished iPhones are not problematic?

kiarra:
No problem if after spending such amount I get a faulty ish and nothing can be done, then fine. Let others learn. It shakes while charging if not kept in a particular position

Then most likely issue here is the cable. Please get another cable so you can isolate the problem, that would certainly help to know the next line of action.

kiarra:
I'm not happy and if I had typed this review 5 mins earlier I would have typed so many things in anger. I will be as fair as possible, I purchased a redmi note 9 pro from him. It came this next day, poor customer service but prompt delivery. I paid before delivery but I got the package without stress. I purchased the phone yesterday. While using the phone today and charging it at the same time, I observed the charging was unstable like the cable was faulty or maybe the charging port, I was unsure. It's a new phone so I didn't expect to get such experience so soon.
I immediately contacted him to inform him of what happened, it's painful to say that he accused me, that I should have observed it same day. And since I didn't the fault was mine. I didn't make use of the phone so much yesterday as I had a very busy day. He then proceeded to say somebody must have tempered with my phone, and I let him know nobody has access to my phone. We went back and forth on the matter. For a seller he handled the whole issue rather poorly. Spending 110k yesterday and experiencing faulty charging already is not a good dife whether it's the charger or charging port. I dont have the energy to play judge and hury but it would be unfair to not drop this here, as I got to know him here

If the phone is brand new sealed and it was unboxed by you, there is literally nothing he can do. What do you mean by faulty charging? The phone doesn't charge at all? Macbeyland is a reasonable person and am sure it won't even cost him anything to give you a new charger if that's the case, presentation matters. I hope the matter is resolved amicably.

Playermayweda:
I recommend using the stock launcher and setting it to app drawer on than using another launcher that might uglify ur phone,This is mi launcher + Color os theme

This even looks ugly to me tbh.

Lesson here is beauty is subjective. Using another launcher does not "uglify" one's phone.

happy662:
This life non just balance at all. How come redmi note 8 pro got mui 12 update first before redmi note 9 pro

LMAO because Redmi note 9 pro is a new device, that's the way Xiaomi roll. Everyone will get it eventually. The Redmi note 9 pro will get the miui 13 update before the Redmi note 10 when it launches. That's the way it has been.

barackodam:
idg though.

A page can not pass by without complaints about battery.

I'm confused o, like, you don't want the battery percentage to reduce again?

Y'all want to be using and not seeing corresponding decrement in the percentage.

How can you lose 25% in 4 hours and still be complaining? I'm confused here o. Is it in 40 hrs you want to lose the 25% nii?

Let's all chill with the battery complaints abeg. You bought a brand new phone, unsealed. Na you tear am, 2 days later, you're already complaining about the battery. Like seriously?

Me I'm tired o. Even as I'm not the one replying them but these batteries are 4-5 Ah, not 10 Ah.

If you're getting 15hrs+ on 4G and good usage, why the complaint exactly?

And there is a reason all phones ship with chargers. Some people are just fixated about battery life. I can't even wrap my head around it. lollll.
