dotedote: Morning Guys. Quick one pls. I was online checking for a used Xiaomi phone and I came across an ad on Olist offering a 4/128 Note 8 for 45k. I called the guy up and we've arranged a courier guy to bring d device to me before payment.
So pls how do I know an original MiPhone cos the dispatch rider would be on his way soon.
Thanks. Waiting for your quick response. Note 8 4/128gb for ₦45k is a red flag already. Apply caution. |

macbeyland: To all my customers and prospective customers,
My apologies if you feel I am too brief in my response. The Issue is that I respond to lots of chats and customers enquiries at once and as a result I need to keep conversations for each person as brief as possible so that I can respond to everyone who has sent messages.
Also, I need to have time for other stuffs apart from responding to chats EG, processing and delivery of packages for people who have placed orders.
In view of this, I also believe customers can also be considerate. For example, there is absolutely no need for you to see an advert with price and condition clearly stated, then you chat the seller up asking for price again... Something you had already seen in the advert before you chatted.
When a seller has stated that price is firm and none negotiable, there is no need to chat the seller up again and asking 'what is your last price'?
When a seller states that his price is non negotiable, it is simply for the buyer to determine whether he or she can buy at the sellers' price or not. If you can buy, you chat the seller up. If you think the price is too expensive don't even chat the seller.
It is not ideal to ask seller to be sending pictures of items when you know you have no intention of buying, or when you know that that item is a sealed item that can't be opened to take pictures. You can simply go online to check pictures and video reviews of whatever you want to buy.
I have had somebody chatting me up that he needs a phone then his next question was 'what can you tell me about Xiaomi?' for heavens sake, where does one begin to answer such a question from? Is it the MD, his family, number of xiaomi staff, date of origin etc that you want me to give you info about?
Bottom line is, do due research of whatever item you wish to buy before you even set out to buy that item. You can even compare prices from other sellers and whatever they are offering before you choose which seller to buy from. When you eventually choose the seller to buy from, it should be about you informing the seller what you need, state your location, delivery time frame, ask for account, make payment and expect to receive your item.
Lastly, if you have doubt about online transactions or you don't trust a seller, there's no need whatsoever to chat the seller up and asking questions about what he sells.
I have had so many people chatting me up and then later saying that they needed me to convince them because they were afraid of being scammed. My response to these people is usually ' If you are afraid of online transaction, pls don't do it. Follow your mind'. This is because, I find it absurd for someone to chat up somebody he's about to make payment to, and asking the person to convince them that he's not a scammer. Even if the seller was a scammer, would he tell you he's a scammer? Do scammers tell their victims that they are about to be scammed?
If you have doubts about a seller, a simple Google search is all you need to clear or enforce your doubts. Simply copy the person's name, phone number etc and go search on Google. You will see what people have said about the person, if he's an old seller and has built reviews over time. You can also check the sellers profile on nairaland and see what others have said about him.
For example, copy macbeyland, or 08062907289 or search on Google. You will definitely get a lot of information about me.
If on nairaland, Simply click on the sellers profile and check his mentions and his post. Within 10 minutes, you should be convinced whether to or not to trust the person with your money.
I hope with these, I will be able to assist prospective buyers and even other sellers.
Let's try and help ourselves. Abeg
Cheers. APT!!! |

adanny01: Chairman, you sell phones right?
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9s 4g/64g is around 80k Ali Express Standard shipping.
The minimum I saw it here is 85k (yours) which is besides waybill of say 2k for destinations. You also don't have buyer protection or stuff like that.
When ppl are assured of getting the phone in 90days or less or get refunded, you bet that people will have patience for that 6k+ difference.
Besides, most sellers sell that phone above 90k with Jumia local at 95k. 15k no be moimoi.
If you sell the phone at 82k, am sure most ppl would not go on AliExpress. Hey, we understand you guys gotta do what you gotta do to make it.
Anyways, got my eyes set on the 9s, just not enough cash for now but I hope to get a deal with you soon. The cheapest note 9s 4/64gb on alixpress is $215 including shipping. At the cheapest conversion rate of ₦391/$ (GTB) that is still close to ₦84k and it can go as high as ₦87k depending on the bank you use. If you feel ₦1k or ₦4k is enough reason to wait for 90days, by all means wait it out. E no concern me at all. |

Suarez190: Hello would love to Order 2 Redmi Note 9 from Aliexpress, i was wondering weda it will be foolish doing that in reference to Exchange rate, because to get the 4/128gb is almost 80k in Nairaland & Computer Village, and its $168 on Aliexpress.. I need ur advice on this.. Thanks in Anticipation $168 is like #75k. Will the price difference of #5k be worth it in the long run given the long wait and likely custom charge? The choice is yours |
Technology Market › Re: This Thread Is Only For Aliexpress Shopper by fibonacci2526: 2:46pm On Aug 14, 2020 |
sobality: because of the price variation e.g redmi note pro cost 77k to 82k at aliexpreess while at 9ja 106k judging by the pictures you uploaded, the redmi note 8 pro cost #88k using the current exchange rate. It's being sold for 85-90k on nairaland by different vendors, which is far cheaper than the official rate and even alixpress. Know where to look. |

genius43: This amount is quite large on a Chinese Version with Global ROM not even Global Version, there are newer and better Xiaomi devices you will get at this price point to be honest. I don't know why people still choose to buy xiaomi phones on alixpress when they are available locally (except flagships) |

I find it strange that people who have been warned (by reading this thread) and told about the long delay due to covid 19 are still complaining that their items are yet to land. If you need the items urgently, alixpress is a no go but by all means go ahead if the item is not urgent. |

techmaster092: No one said be patient oo, the attack was coming from all angle as tho complaining is against the rule of the thread, this is extremely bad, when i praise xaiomi phone then for their speaker with good sound quality, they were all liking my comments as if i send them, let's be rationale, it's almost impossible to satisfy human 100%,someone even said my complain will affect other people which simply shows the thread is mainly to promote xiaomi, even jumia page gan dem dey complain, nobody attacks them Complaints about updates will get your post closed or deleted on most OEM community app, maybe because you are new to xiaomi that's why you are worried about lack of updates, the update will come, it is for you to not get yourself worked up (unless your phone is unusable)over something you can not control. |

techmaster092: Now you are talking but atleast you have gotten an upgrade b4, but it is wrong of you to tell someone to blatantly sell off his phone if he is not satisfied, if you were in my shoes u won't find that funny, phone wey i jst buy for that matter But they have been telling you to be patient, complaining about the lack of updates won't make it come faster. Why not just be patient for your own sanity? One thing that is guaranteed is that the update will come. Relax and don't get yourself worked up for nothing. |
