PoliticsRe: Allison Madueke Released On Bail In London (Video With Bodyguards) by Fikemia: 2:05pm On Oct 10, 2023
The worst government looting happened in the administration of Goodluck Jonathan yet Nigerians have celebrated him and honored him as a good president. The people are part of the problem, celebrating mediocrity and hailing the thieves who have continually subjected the nation to penury.
PoliticsRe: Court Extends Order Restraining NLC, TUC From Embarking On Strike by Fikemia: 1:28pm On Jun 19, 2023
Flets:
Before you all get carried away with the media propaganda associated with this FG, here are the actions to date and how it affects you (you might not feel the impact immediately but its gonna sting soon)

1. Fuel subsidy is removed and you will buy fuel for 500 to 900naira per liter (depending on the exchange rate). The savings will be looted like that of kerosene and diesel. There will be no commensurate succor/ palliative for your suffering. Instead of going after the subsidy thieves and stopping the smuggling across boarders, they have transferred the responsibility to the helpless Nigerian people.

2. Naira has been devalued (though they call it floating). The FG has handed over the exchange to the market forces where speculators and banks are king. Naira continues to fall in the I/E and parallel market. Anybody who tells you Naira will appreciate is a joker, for a corrupt country like ours, the banks and speculators are the new cabal and will drive the rates how they deem fit. Don’t believe…. Just observe. What most don’t get now is that CBN now has no obligation to provide FX at a particular rate to the market, a such the new FG players can access FX from CBN without noise.

3. FG funding for tertiary education has been removed. Students will pay upwards of 400K tuition fee starting next session. A lot of students will drop out and cannot complete their education anymore. The so-called student loan will be almost impossible for an average student without connection to access. Guess what happens to the savings from this funding…. To b looted by the same people who have impoverished the nation.

4. All the FG has done so far is abandon almost all responsibilities it has over the people through the bills being signed since May 29. All Tinubu has done is to make available funds to be shared by him and his goons at the expense of the people. Not a single bill or action aimed at ameliorating the suffering of the already downcast Nigerian people rather adding to the pain in the guise of elitist policies

5. Guess what…. Same old political criminals are back in power, Gbaja, Akume, Asari Dokubo etc and you expect any real change apart from increased suffering?. How do you expect Tinubu to pay back the these same criminals who supported him into power?

Nigerians…. Suffer no dey tire una?
The people are the problem that is why hope remains bleak for the country. The government has done nothing towards alleviation of hardship since inception. They have removed subsidy, floated the currency but provided no blueprint for palliatives and how they will reinvest the money saved in the economy yet people are singing Tinubu's praise. How much dumber can human beings be? Tinubu that was giving delegates thousands of dollars to vote him in the primaries, how do you expect him to recoup the funds? Very sad situation.
FamilyRe: Why The Rate Of Divorce Is High & Why Families Break Up by Fikemia: 1:52pm On Jun 13, 2023
MrBrownJay1:
ARRANT NONSENSE!!!!!

there are more divorces today simply because...
A) its easy to get divorced today, compared to back in the days. in the past most of these women were jobless and couldnt divorce their husbands, but today, most women are gainfully employed and can manage to be on their own.
B) people marry for the wrong reasons, thanks to African culture/society....aka marriage because of RELIGIOUS/SOCIAL/FAMILY/PEER PRESSURE!
C) because lots of people have NO CLUE how hard it is to stay happily married. marriage aint a game and sadly, many only figure that out when its too late
D) because people are lazy!!!! so many were pretending to be who they were not (before marriage), in order to catch the right partner....and now that they are married, they dont need to pretend any longer, thats when their partner will discover the real character of their spouse. and sometimes it aint that great
E) what do you expect when you have so many women out there that are so FAKE (fake hair, fake foundation, fake eyelashes, fake nails, fake push up bras, fake padded underwear, fake accent, fake education, fake background etc)? some men only discover the true face of their partner after marriage, and it aint that great
F) so many women enter marriage as slim sexy princesses, and within 2/3 years (or kids) they end up looking like a baby whale version of shrek, and you wonder why so many men aint repulse by their wives?!
G) many people today marry SOLELY for money, and when a man with MORE money comes along and/or their spouse loses their money, then the marriage will rightfully be over.
Your view is lopsided because all you see is what women are doing wrong. Is marriage all about the women? Your kind of reasoning is another reason why divorce rate is high. Add it to your list.
PoliticsRe: We Must Back Fuel Subsidy Removal To Move Forward, Civil Societies Appeal To Nig by Fikemia: 4:24am On Jun 12, 2023
Subsidy was removed without any plans on mitigating the effect on the masses, no blue print on what the money will be used for and people are shouting it's the best decision. If you think subsidy removal will automatically crash prices you must be dreaming. Nigeria does not control the price of crude oil products and since we barely have functioning refineries, subsidy removal won't do much good for the price of petrol. Subsidy is the only benefit Nigerians enjoy and unless there's a clear cut plan on how to spend the savings judiciously, then people had better buckle up for harder times ahead.
HealthRe: TINNITUS: Cost of removing auditory nerves in Nigeria. by Fikemia: 12:29am On Apr 28, 2023
I'm so sorry to hear you are going through this. I also have Tinnitus and at one point I thought my life was over. The ENTs told me I had to live with it but I refused to accept that verdict.

The body has a way of healing itself. What I did was to do an extensive research on herbs. I also rubbed balm around my ears to relieve the pus that had built around what I believe is an injury to my ears caused by ototoxicity. I made a remarkable recovery and only relapse on exposure to loud noise. I can't tell you the specific things to use but you should do a lot of research on natural herbs such as mints, cinnamon. I suggest you discontinue all medications at this point. Let your body heal itself. Stay away from loud noise. I say a sincere prayer for you that the good lord will get you through this in Jesus name. Stay positive and always say it out loud to yourself, " I will get through this". Let me know if you need further information from me.
PoliticsRe: 2023: Naira Redesign Policy Has Minimised Influence Of Money In Politics- Buhari by Fikemia: 9:18am On Feb 16, 2023
CodeTemplar:
Minimize what? It has rather amplified the influence of money in politics.
Just watch. People will be most willing to trade votes for new notes because they are now scarce and things are expensive.
Thanks a lot for this comment. Nigerians are so gullible. They will see Shege on election day. Is it Tinubu who engages the service of bullion vans that does not have access to the new currency? Here they are thanking the president for creating total chaos to stop vote buyers. So people should starve to death before the election day because of vote buying? Very myopic and clueless government who think suffering is the only solution.
