CultureRe: Anambra Is Ancestral Home Of The Igalas by Findingmyroots: 6:08pm On Jul 20, 2013
Dudu_Negro: ^^^
You have displayed your vulnerability as a weak logic when you choosed vulgarity as a vehicle of expression.

1. Bini is proto Yoruba. I challenge any Bini person to dispute.

2. Just because you have a thousand places named Onicha and not Onitsha does not negate the factvthatvthe etymology of Onitsha is Yoruba in origion and derives from Orisha.

3. Same goes for Orba or Oba or Obi as 2 above.

4. Whether Idu is Bini or not, the factvremains what I said that in both Yoruba and Bini, Idu means a stop or a rest or a settlement on a land.

For example..Iduro; Ido, Iddo.
Im doing a discussion on Yoruba words common with European languages and I want to also share with you that indeed "endure" is derived from "duro".....to be stationed or sustained.

5. If indeed carbon dating places Igboland as the first settlement in Nigeria then please share with us where in Igboland this settlement was camped at and what their culture and cults were.

If you do not answer anything else in your response, please I beg you answer 5 by all means; it is critical to the history of the Yorubaland that you call Onitsha.
I'm from Onitsha and I'm quite sure we not Yoruba we are igbos who went to war with our brother igbos. As a matter a fact, it's some of the Yorubas who are actually Igbo, thanks to Queen Remi sacrifice e of her body to the igbos and her son. Places like Akure & Abeokuta were founded by the Onitsja people. Did you know that 10 villages in Onitsha are arochukwu? Yes, it's true. The other 4 villages are from anambra state. And two from igala(kogi). The current oba of Benin paternal home is actually Igbo. And the maternal home is Bini

Some even say Yoruba is a Hausa word and just recently came into existence

Others say the original Yorubas are the Itsekiri(who r original Bini)
CultureRe: Similar Words Between Hausa/yoruba Languages And That Of Igbo/idoma by Findingmyroots: 9:39am On Jul 20, 2013
gst101: becos few words are similar does not mean two tribes are related. It is important to note that there are thousands of dissimilar word in the two languages. If few similar word draw two tribes together, then thousands of dissimilar words should also make clear the difference.
It's more than just a few words. The Idoma also share the same market days. They hv a local government called OBI. And according to history, the Arochukwus(igbos)once occupied Idoma land bcuz they were the last Igbo migrators to migrate to Southeastern Nigeria.

Some of the Yorubas are igbos. Such as the Egba people from Abeokuta and the Akure people.

I once heard that YORUBA is actually a Hausa word

And that the origin of Yoruba actually come from Kwara state.

Like one said in an earlier post. It's time for tribes to start discovering their connections. It will only bring us closer.

Aren't the Igbo bush people? I mean, they do their sacrifices in the bushes, obviously there is Igbo among the Yorubas (who were once conquered/ruled by the onitsha people).

Don't forget. Eri is igbo(Hebrew). And migrated to southeastern Nigeria with his younger brothers Arodi(arochukwu) & Areli(owerri). Egba people and probably ijebu people(not sure) are decendants of igbo(Hebrew). Egba people original language isn't Yoruba it's Igbo. They began speaking Yoruba after getting conquered by the Yoruba queen from oyo state name Remi. Till today, Yorubas hv a festival every year celebrating the defeat of the Egbas.
CultureRe: Ijebu People - The Most Industrious Beings On Earth. Please Let's Get Together by Findingmyroots: 10:11am On Jun 06, 2013
The original Yorubas are the oyo and some northern Hausas and the original bini people (before some igbos migrated to southeastern Nigeria in the 9th century).

It appears the ijebus are Igbo. Igbo legend is they migrated from Isreal, down to Egypt, then Sudan(some went to Ethiopia/Uganda), through chad, then Cameroon, through north eastern nigeria(benue/adamawa area) down to southeastern Nigeria. From southeastern Nigeria about 1/4 of igbos migrated west(due to royal family fight between Eri & his son Oba), such as the onitsha, asaba, Egba, ika-ibo etc people did

CultureRe: Does Anyone Speak Straight Egba Here? by Findingmyroots: 7:58am On May 31, 2013
Yes the Egba are igbos. The played around with their real name during the slave trade. the Egba, asaba, and onitsha people r all the same people, who are all igbos. Long story(royal family fighting separated them from Eri).
CultureRe: Does Anyone Speak Straight Egba Here? by Findingmyroots: 7:49am On May 31, 2013
The founder of igala kingdom was Attah. Attah was the third son to Eri. Attah immediate younger brother was edo(oba). Eri was grandson to isreal

@Harem, in reference to what u said "Remember Igbo have interacted with the Igala, Edo and Ibibios even Ijaws for thousands of years even before Nri dynasty was formed," according to history Igbo, ijaw, Akwa Ibom, Edo people with Igbo last names(such as Okoro, osadebe, Ugo) are all the same people. Learn more by contacting our Fb page titled "Findingmyroots." These sub groups were created due to royal family fights. Many are unaware that the first oba of benin(oba Eweka) was Eri 4th son(his original name was Edo.). Edo eventually recurred the Ozo title "oba." That's why in today's Anambra state there is a town named "oba," which is few kilometers from onitsha. Look it up.

PoliticsRe: Are Igbo Jews, The Lost Tribe Of Israel? - CNN by Findingmyroots: 7:39am On May 17, 2013
Asaba & Onitsha are decendants of Eri. Eri children names were: Agulu(oldest), nri, attah(igala), edo(first oba of Benin after osegie dynasty), Igbo. Agulu & Edo went to war. Edo won, migrated west then married a Benin woman(daughter of high chief). Edo received an Ozo title from his father called "Oba." That's why till today there is a town in Anambra state called "Oba." I dey lie? Google oba, Anambra.
PoliticsRe: Are Igbo Jews, The Lost Tribe Of Israel? - CNN by Findingmyroots: 7:35am On May 17, 2013
Igbos are the lost jews of isreal. They are decendants of three of jacobs grandchildren. Eri(Agulueri, Anambra state), Aroli(founder of arochukwu) & Areli. These three names can be found in Numbers 26 16-17 in the bible. Igbo-Ukwu, is where Eri was buried. I posted my findings on my Facebook "like" page titled "FindingMyRoots." If you like you can go there and see what I discovered.

A son will discover where he comes from
CultureRe: Nri is NOT The Oldest Kingdom In Nigeria? by Findingmyroots: 4:58am On May 17, 2013
The first oba of Benin(oba eweka) first son name was Ovbi ikimme(Obi Ikeme). Till today the king of asaba and onitsha goes by Obi not Oba. He was told by his father to migrate east(home) because of an incident he had with his mothers family (probably practicing Igbo tradition). He died in today's asaba and his children(4 of them) continued the journey across the Naija Bridge(with the help of igalas), then formed Onitsha. Till today in Onitsha there are 4 villages founded by the 4 children (3 boys 1 girl) & two villages by the igalas. The others are arochukwu.

In conclusion, the first oba of Benin was a south easterner. And the south easterners(what u call igbos) migrated from Egypt(Jews).
CultureRe: Nri is NOT The Oldest Kingdom In Nigeria? by Findingmyroots: 4:40am On May 17, 2013
Oba eweka's brothers were Agulu(oldest), Nri, Attah(igala) & Igbo. Till today, there is a town naned after oba eweka, called Oba, Anambra state(google it). Oba(Edo) was the fourth among the siblings. There father was Eri. Eri can be found in the bible among with his two younger brothers who also migrated to southeastern Nigeria from Egypt. There names was Aroli(arochukwu) & Areli (numbers 26:16-17). Till to date there is a town in Anambra state called Agulueri, named after Eri first son Agulu. I attached a photo of the lineage. Southeastern Nigeria is the land of the lost Jews who fled egypt. Hope you learned something. Including those in Benin who bear Igbo(political name) last names such as: Okoro, Ugo, Osakwe, osadebe, echejille etc.

Also, Igbo Ukwu bronze artifacts are centuries older than ife. Archaeologists claim they go back as far as the 9th century

CultureRe: Nri is NOT The Oldest Kingdom In Nigeria? by Findingmyroots:
It has been said that the first oba of Benin was an Igbo man that was angry with his Igbo family. His name, Oba Eweka (1180). Eweka (Iweka) in Igbo means anger abounds. Many believe the king that they found at Igbo Ukwu was oba eweka's father (Eri). Also, it has been said that oba Eweka went to war with his Igbo family (kingdom) which led to the destruction of the kingdom. After oba Eweka won the war, he migrated west and married a Yoruba woman. Many are unaware that the name "Oba" is also an Igbo Ozo title.

Oba eweka's brothers were Agulu(oldest), Nri, Attah(igala) & Igbo. Oba(Edo) was the fourth among the siblings. There father was Eri. Eri can be found in the bible among with his two younger brothers who also migrated to southeastern Nigeria from Egypt. There names was Aroli(arochukwu) & Areli (numbers 26:16-17). It's history bro! Those are not Yoruba names
