Penpee to Evolve into a Community-Driven Storytelling Social Network

New formats such as episodic stories, series, and podcasts will be introduced. Readers will be able to follow real creators, join communities, and take part in ongoing conversations around stories and ideas.

Community will be foundational to Penpee’s design. Every creator will own a dedicated community space where engagement and discussion are central. Monetization tools such as the option for creators to charge monthly subscriptions directly from their followers through their channels, Story series season passes, Business Tools & Sponsorships, will be introduced only after creators have built trust and demonstrated consistent engagement, ensuring a healthier and more sustainable ecosystem.

Penpee also announced changes to its monetization structure. Prime membership will no longer be required to publish paid stories. Instead, monetization access will be earned through creator progression, based on activity, engagement, and community trust, with Prime serving only as a growth accelerator.

Experimental Engagement Rewards for Nigerian Users

To thank our loyal Nigerian users, Penpee is launching an experimental monthly reward program. Our most engaged users from Nigeria will receive free airtime or data as compensation for their time, support, and contribution to the community.

Starting this month:
