and for those idiots talking about race, when beyonce was nominated last year , u didnt talk about race , must u all act like black people all the days of your lives. eminem uses real meaning words in his raps , no phrasing or slangs, he raps fast and at high pitch, he has real stories to tell, from drugs to bullying to love and all, his melodies are also on point and he had very good production and recovery is the highest selling album of this year in the US.

for those campaigning for waving flag look at the list of songs in nominated in the categories u feel he should be then go ahead and listen to them and read their lyrics then say which one waving flag ( simple chant song)is better than.

for best rap album it is recovery, because he is the only one nominated for AOTY, u cant lose in your category then get nominated for album of the year, this is the surest award that eminem would receive. so far mosst albums nominated in the AOTY category win in their respective genre except they are nominated with another winner from the same genre, for insttance katy perry and lady gaga are nominated in pop ablum and AOTY , but we know he winner is between the two of them for that genre

Why said so is because of how last years how went as predicted!
AOTY went to Taylor Swift's "Fearless",which is undeniably last years best selling album after spending 11 weeks at number 1 and great production as they say.
ROTY went to Kings Of Leon's "Use Somebody", as predicted.
SOTY went to Beyonce's "Single Ladies", very unlike the Grammy's to award such a song SOTY.
The same chane Empire State Of Mind has towards winning SOTY is thesame as Slim Shady's Love The Way You Lie. Both songs made the mark. And also,"Need You Now" is A bigger contender
ROTY is certainly not for Slim shady,cos the Grammy academy wont even go there.
But AOTY,He has every chance to scoop it.
Best Pop Album is Undeniably GaGa or Katy Perry

The Eligibility period for next years Grammy's was from September 30th 2009 to September 30th 2010. Your release must be within that period. So I guess Slim Shady was the Hottest thing then.

Its about the success of his/her work and how much impact it has made. So they give awards do Honor the whole crew involved in the making of that hit. And the Grammy Award is Music's highest Honor.

The only categories you find International acts are the World Traditional Album and World Contemporary Album.

@Spoilt:Cee-Lo's "F*** You" is a massive hit and is still breaking grounds all over the world,its nominated for "SOTY,ROTY,Best Alternative Perfomance and Best Short form music Video. The song deserves the nods.

Ne-Yo by far when it comes to Singing,Songwriting and creativity but Chris Brown, Dance thats all!

@eldee: In the Grammy description for each category,it says Song Of The Year(SOTY) is a record that was released the previous year or during the eligibility period of songs to be nominated by the Grammy academy and has carved a niche for itself by being known by 80% of the music lovers and was enormously successful.It is presented to the Songwriters and not to the performers.
The only difference that exists between SOTY and Record Of The Year(ROTY) is the fact,ROTY is a song or track that is being remembered in the future as the hit of a particular year.It is presented to The songwriter,artist,producer and engineer.
Album Of The Year(AOTY) on the other hand is the paramount award at the Grammy awards, Awarded to all who participated in the production of the album. This award has being won once by a hip hop artist,in 2004 by Outcast for their album "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below".

Funny enough, He's not in ten categories but nominated more than once in a category which gives him a greater chance of winning that category, He'll possibly win nothing less that 4,but the possibility of winning six like Beyonce last year out of ten. Is slim.

The Nominees were announced on December 3rd,2010. Leading the pack with a total of 10 nominationsis Eminem(record held by Beyonce at the 2010 Grammies,won 6 also a record). Following closely is Bruno Mars with 8 nods and Jay Z coming with 6 nods.
Other top contenders for the Big 4 awards include Lady GaGa,Cee-Lo Green,Katy Perry and B.o.B,who are up against Eminem for Record of The Year,Song of The Year and Album of the year.
In the best new artist category,Justin Bieber goes head log against Drake and some other American and British artists.

Oau is set to release all list after the meeting of the members of the senate. This was confirmed by the school's admission officer this morning. The list comprises DE, Jamb and pre- degree candidates. Hence, both the merit and the supplementary list will be pasted in school and the school's portal in their website. The list will also be published in Nigerian Tribune newspaper by December and the resumption for freshers shall be Jan. while stalite shall resume February. Prospective students are there4 adviced to assess the school's website for the requirements for their registration for hitch-free reg . Keep your fingers CROSSED. Mind u, this is as true as thd gospel.
