PoliticsRe: Did Emir Sanusi Behead Akaluka Gideon? by Firefire(m): 2:29pm On Nov 22, 2015
cramjones:
We must not forget that despite the great achievements of SLS, he and eight others were found guilty by General Sani Abacha for beheading Gideon Akaluka a young igbo man. Gideon was jailed by the kano police after being accused of using pages of the Koran to wipe. All 8 guys that participated in the killing were executed, bit SLS escaped.

We should take off our brains of amnesia, beyond the British accent, and remember that SLS may be an extremist, a murderer, no different from ISIS.

OPC launches online radio, magazine

LEADER of the Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, Otunba Gani Adams, has announced the launch of an Oodua Radio/Magazine, in honour of the matriarch of the Awolowo dynasty, late Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo.

Adams who said the launch took place in London earlier in the week, explained that the media will serve to project, enhance and showcase the Yoruba cultural heritage and tradition of the Yoruba to the world at large.

He said that there was an urgent need to resuscitate the Yoruba culture and tradition which he regretted were going extinct. Adams said the radio station would propagate the cultural beliefs of the Yoruba through what he described as effective communication channels.

According to him, “establishing the Oodua Radio and Magazine is a deliberate attempt to showcase Yoruba culture and ethics globally.

In his address, Tourism Editor of Tribune newspapers, Gabriel Akinadewo, urged Nigerians especially the Yoruba to be culture ambassadors within and outside the country.

“We must all support the Federal Government by projecting the image and protecting the name of Nigeria for the change mantra to work and Oodua Radio is a platform for everybody living in London to do this,” he said.

I am surprised this is coming from you. You don't support OPC in its formative years.

I fully support the existence of OPC although I have lost faith in the leadership at the moment. Just I have lost faith in the political leadership in the SW.

If the SW military wing and Political class could align, the demand for regional integration would be greater and there would be progress. Similar to how Sein Fein and the IRA worked together to get the demands of Northern Irish Catholics met.
I support the OPC movement from inception.

I witnessed all the terrible tribal war in Lagos: btw. OPC & Ijaw, OPC & Hausa. It was too bloody thou.

We need a military wing to wade-off intruders.

"Omo Oodua ni mi tokantokan" that is one of our slogan.

God bless the Yoruba nation.

Boko Haram is a self inflicted pain by Nigerians on Nigeria.

If Buhary is ready, he knows the right button to press, but he must first escalate it to redirect suspicion.
