italy too has quality CM with strength around him; verratti, barella and locatelli. Like i said before, jorginho actually achieved in Chelsea too but personally i don't like his type of CDM, mostly in epl. With physical weakness if he had quality offensive play i won't budge, it means he can be used as CM but his progressive play is average, most times, there is no attacking threat in his passes, just side and back passes.

Maybe I should juggle your memory a little. Jorg's style of play was limited by a long stretch because Tuchel believed that he had a midfielder in Kante that could make dashing runs with the ball into the box and Kovacic who'd load the sideways for either Chillwell or James to overload the box until something happens. Jorginho's work was just to serve as a figure head for protecting the defense and maybe maintain tempo of the game which he shared with Kova too. This was different in the Italian national team as he was VERY pivotal to their winning it.

Mount was the only one tasked with creating chances from the middle and he was also a forward player which didn't really make it too obvious and now that he's no longer in form, it feels like a herculean task for the rest of the team since they are not used to it.

Maybe the overhaul is what you guys need but I tell you again, it's not completely Jorg's fault that he was limited.. The Chelsea's managers, were primarily at fault.

Rodri is actually a robust CDM with attacking contribution. Jorg is thin and weak, his attacking prowess is poor; can't shoot due to his tiny thighs, can't context for heading ball like Rodri and rarely progress play. Kante carried him most times, when Kante is not playing our midfield become express and we look thin and average in midfield.

And in the Euros where Kante wasn't carrying him, he emerged as a winner and as one of the best players of the tournament.

Take it or leave it... Chelsea simply lacked the major prospeneties to allow any technical DM prosper in the team and unless something is done, one other midfielder will have to cover for the DM, leaving so much space when he's actually not there... Just as Kante was to Jorg
