Politics / Six Offi Communities In Okobo Raises Concerns Over Lack Of Electricity by FirstMediaNaija(m): 11:57am On Sep 19, 2023
Six Offi Communities in Okobo need roads, electricity

The access way and the internal link roads from Uruting, Eyede, Osu Offi, Ubak, Afaha Osu, Otieke Offi, Ikono Offi all in Offi Ward 2 in Okobo Local Government Area are in total ruins; and there is no electricity in these six communities.

The issues currently facing our people aside unemployment, Road and Electricity tops the list.
Unfortunately, the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Rural Development haf been refuting our secret letters in this regard, saying the Government had in 2010 inaugurated electricity in Offi G6 communities.

While some of the projects had allegedly been shabbily done through cronies, some have been fictitiously commissioned with pictures delivered to Akwa Ibom State government, and well publicised, even as no such projects have ever been carried out.

It was gathered that the project covering modern democratic governments of PDP under Obong Victor Attah, Obong Godswill Akpabio and Deacon Udom Emmanuel have been mismanaged by party chieftains in the area.

For instance, a project coded as No. 466-Electrification is said to have been cited in Atak Udim, Otieke as published in page 476 of Inter-Ministerial Update, A Publication of the Ministry of Finance which is a Pictorial Compendium of Inter-Ministerial Direct Labour Projects (2007-2011), Volume 1.

The same project is documented on page 24 of the Programme for Inauguration of Constituency Projects, where it was listed for inauguration on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 as being among the 75 projects constructed in Okobo LGA in a publication of Akwa Ibom State government titled IBOM DIARY – Special Inauguration Edition, page 62 with the heading: Akwa Ibom Rural Revolution- Okobo.

Also, at page 420 of the Pictorial Compendium of Inter-Ministerial Direct Labour Projects (2007-2011), the said project is publicised as being among those executed and inaugurated on Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Page 210 of the compendium also contains the picture of the same project.

It could be recalled that Chief Jerry Okpo had, during the Attah-led government used a graduate of Agricultural Engineering to execute an electrification project in Offi Community which has never been a reality since.

The said contractor, Engr John who allegedly used inferior materials to install the tranasformer was adjudged incompetent, as a generator was reportedly being used in generating electricity, while the project was being inaugurated.

Government at all levels must know about this criminal act fast by prosecuting the duo. The Akwa Ibom State Government should please rise up and revisit the area, Offi G6 which comprises of Eyede, Osu Offi, Ubak, Afaha Osu, Otieke Offi, Ikono Offi deserves of a proper development plan as Akwa Ibom State Government's rural access roads top the priority list of this administration. Let's look above every sentiments.

Politics / Tinubu And The Proverbial Leaopard by FirstMediaNaija(m): 11:36pm On Sep 07, 2022
Tinubu and the proverbial Leaopard

By Victor Unoh | Uyo

A Leopard can’t change its spots holds true for most of us in one respect or the other. The famous Idiom means that certain basic aspects of a person can never change just like the spots on a Leopard.

Just like Bola Ahmad Tinubu, the APC Presidential candidate for the 2023 general election. Until we see the contrary, Tinubu is the most corrupt politician in Nigeria after Late Sani Abacha.

Two billion vans were sighted in his Ikoyi residence on the eve of the 2019 presidential election, and it was believed they brought the cash he would use to oil his rigging machine. A viral video of the vans in his Bourdilon home provoked public outrage with the political opposition urging the EFCC to move on to Tinubu. But the EFCC, which was then under Ibrahim Magu, responded that it had not received any petition asking that Tinubu be investigated.

These set of politicians never bother actually about how it impacts the people whom they promise to give better lives and the country which they swear to serve without any discrimination and without keeping any personal motives.

Their true nature is to make false promises and then stay detached to the problems and the adversities affecting people and the nation, sitting comfortably in their luxury homes or villas.

They leave no opportunity in accumulating illegal wealth, growing massive businesses, profiteering, taking bribes for benefiting certain high class people and buying big properties and depositing incalculable wealth in Swiss banks.

It is almost impossible to change their patterns and their mental attitude which remain unaltered just like a Leopard who never changes its spots.

Politics / The Woman, Felicia Bassey Many Do Not Know by FirstMediaNaija(m): 7:02am On Aug 26, 2022
*THE WOMAN, FELICIA BASSEY MANY DO NOT KNOW*

Public figures of note draw certain airs of mystification. Stories are woven around them to create enigmatic caveats. The lacunas created by such stories open the floodgates for speculations, leading to more and more myths, false stories, and sometimes over embellishments that may give rise to bloated egos.

But sometimes people with fair and grounded knowledge of these public figures emerge to straighten the crooked edges of history told about the person they know. Most of such times, they find the earlier claims or narratives to be either incongruous, absurd or so over bloated that they are often forced to ask if they are referring to the same persons they know.

Deputy Speaker Felicia Bassey is one of such public figures that has been a subject of speculative narrative. With a career honed and heeled in security intelligence, her return to Okobo, first as transition Chairman and eventually Executive Chairman, did not provide many in the State access to enable them form opinion of her. The consequence of this is the constant speculation and sometimes deliberate misinformation and disinformation that are prevalent about her today.

There are also situations when this simple and unassuming woman is so over- bloated that some who have had the privilege of knowing her would easily guesstimate the quantum of damage they do to her psyche each time they over exaggerate who she is.

As a fervent and faithful Christian who cultivated the timeless value of humility early and allowed it to seep and be ingrained in her, modesty and moderation are her watchwords. There is no gainsaying the fact that this public servant has been a subject matter in speculative narratives and commentaries since she became a lawmaker.

While forging a career as private citizen in the Nigerian Police Force, such speculations remained at the realm of oral tradition. But as a public figure representing the people of Okobo State Constituency, she is a subject matter for public documentation. It is why those who know her very well have a moral obligation to bring her into public discourse with the intent to present her in the exactness of her person.

Princess Felicia Bassey can be classified as an enigma. As a young person, she had developed traits that distinguished her and made her a cynosure among her peers. They included focus, passion, vision, steadfastness, humility, discipline and devotion to any task assigned her

Segmental review of the jixbreaking achievements of Rt. Hon. Princess Felicia Bassey reveals the the following:

● Facilitated the taken - over of three community owned Secondary Schools by the Akwa Ibom State Government through the state Ministry of Education. The schools are:
1. AME ZION Secondary Commercial School, Mbokpu Oduobo, Okobo Local Government Area.
2. Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Ekeya, Okobo Local Government Area.
3. Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Eweme, Okobo Local Government Area.

● Facilitated the construction of ongoing Nung Atai Eta - Atabong road.
● Facilitated employment of numerous qualified constituents in the Civil Service and othe organised private sector.
● Various entrepreneurial empowerment of constituents with lands, cars, motorbikes, mini-buses, Hair dryer, welding and vulcanizing kits.
● Award of scholarship to over 100 deserving students of Okobo Local Government Area origin now studying in various disciplines in different higher institutions of learning across Nigeria and the Diaspora.

● Sponsorship of people-oriented bills & moving life-touching motions that positively affects the well being of her constituents in particular and the state in entirety. Some of which have been passed into Law while others are at various levels of progress including motion over hike in price of petroleum products, under matters of public importance; Bill for a Law to protect all physically challenged persons against all forms of discrimination and to provide for equal opportunities in the society and other matters connected therewith (lead sponsor), a bill for a Law to eliminate violence in public life (co-sponsored); a bill for a Law to regulate smoking in public places and other matters connected therein (lead sponsor), and a motion for the restoration and revival of the abandoned ferry services plying Oron-Calabar waterways for ease of transportation between Akwa and Cross River States. As a two term Deputy Speaker in the 6th and 7th Assemblies, Hon. Bassey is a dependable ally of the former and present Speakers, who has given in feminine touches to Legislative business of both Assemblies. She has been very proactive and vibrant in the present Assembly, not losing sight in protecting the interest of Akwa Ibom women, the less privileged and the vulnerable.

● Regular physical visits to constituents, widows, orphanage and the aged.
● Creating awareness and disseminating information to her constituents – championed the campaign against rape and all forms of gender based violence, physically challenged persons, COVID-19 awareness campaign and provided palliatives to her constituents during the lockdown.
● Regular Medical supports to constituents and non-constituents through offset of medical bills and check-up
● Training of constituents on various vocations.
● Commitment to peace and security of her constituents. Example is her efforts at restoring peace between Amammong and Okopedi communities.

● Facilitation of the construction and reconstruction of over twenty schools buildings in Okobo, some of which include;
▪ Reconstruction of 3 classrooms block/Office at Government Primary School, Oyoku Assang, Okobo Local Government Area.
▪ Reconstruction of 3 classroom block/Office at Government Primary School, Ekeya, Okobo Local Government Area.
▪ Reconstruction of 3 classroom block/Office at Government Primary School, Ebighi Eta/ Edu, Okobo Local Government Area. ( Constituency Project)

▪ Reconstruction of 7 classroom block/Office at St. Joseph Primary School, Urutin/Atiabang, Okobo Local Government Area. ( Special Intervention )
▪ Electrification Project at Ekeya and Utine Nduong all in Okobo Local Government Area.
▪ Renovation of Block 1 at General Hospital, Amammong, Okobo Local Government Area.
▪ Renovation of Block 2 at General Hospital, Amammong, Okobo Local Government Area.
▪ Renovation of 4 classrooms block at Government Primary School, Oyoku Assang, Okobo Local Government Area.

▪ Between June 2015 to June 2020, she has procured over 800 JAMB Forms and other educational materials worth millions of naira for indigenous students in Okobo Local Government Area

This abridged detailed account of the her service to her people portrays Princess Felicia Bassey as a God Fearing, Selfless, and Humane politician who has brought political relief and succor to her people through effective representation and will teach budding politicians in Nigeria that politics is not a game of propagating gender inequality , lies and character assassination; rather, it is a game of faithful service through humility over the years.

Politics / Workers, Councilors Decry Deplorable Work Environment In Okobo Council Under Syl by FirstMediaNaija(m): 8:50pm On Aug 24, 2022
*Workers, Councilors Decry Deplorable Work Environment In Okobo Council under Sylvester Attah *

_By Uduonyi Dickson | OKOBO_

Civil servants and councilors in Okobo local Government Council have decried the deplorable state of the Council Secretariat.

The Council workers, who sought to remain anonymous, while chatting with our correspondent, recently at the Council Secretariat, Okobo, bemoaned the cruel working environment in the Council, lamenting that “everything in the council are in shambles”.

They pointed out that a good number of the workers do not have office space to carry their duties as most of the offices in the secretariat are completely dilapidated.
“You can go around and see things for yourself. The roof of some of the offices have caved in under the severe pressure of leakage; those with roofs are terribly leaking without windows, tables and chairs,” they further stated.
They noted that no civil servant would be motivated to report to work and give in their best under such frustrating circumstances, adding that the situation has affected their productivity.

Theirs words: “We cannot do our job effectively with the leaking roofs, without chairs, table, shelves to saved documents and other essential office equipment”.
They stated that Okobo Local Government workers have been in this condition for couples of years now with no solution in sight, adding that they have made several complaints to successive council chairman to no avail.

The house leader of Okobo Legislative Council and the councilor representing Offi Ward 2, Hon. Anthony Uya, who confirmed the deplorable condition of offices in the Council in a telephone interview, however, said that the Council chairman, Dr Sylvester Attah, was not sleeping over the situation.

Uya disclosed that the council chairman had an engaged a furniture maker to fix the broken furniture, but he regretted that the contract could not see the light of the day due to some circumstances.

“The chairman, Dr Sylvester Attah, in our meeting recently, acknowledged the awful state of the council secretariat and promised to fix the furniture and carry out necessary renovation in the council as soon as possible” Uya stated, expressing the optimism that the council would soon wear a new look.

Apart from paucity of funds, according to one of the councilors, the reasons the council is in sordid mess was due to improper management of funds and paying priority attention to the immediate needs of the Council.
His words: “the reasons those things are yet to be done is due to lack of money because allocation that comes in monthly is inadequate to maintain the properties or replace them with new ones”

The Pioneer, however, learnt that the previous chairmen and lawmakers met and left the council in a similar way it is, presently, and the situation kept deteriorating as nothing was done to ameliorate it.

Our source noted that “there is special funds made available by the state government for the maintenance and provision of furniture for councilors and workers’ office”, alleging that the funds may have been siphoned.

Politics / Communique Issued At The End Of A Special Strategic Stakeholders Meeting Of Atak by FirstMediaNaija(m): 11:26am On Aug 22, 2022
A COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF A SPECIAL STRATEGIC STAKEHOLDERS MEETING OF ATAK-ORO STUDENT FORUM WORLDWIDE HELD ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 21, 2022, OVER THE UNLAWFUL ELONGATION OF TENURE OF OFFICE OF THE EXECUTIVE OF NATIONAL ASSOCIATION Of OKOBO STUDENT WORLDWIDE LED BY BASSEY ODIONG UNUNG.

Atak oro Student Forum is an organized umbrella body for all students of Atak-oro extraction studying in higher institutions of learning across the globe, and saddled with the primary objective of promoting the welfare of members and advocating for the peace, unity and progress of Atak-Oro Development Area and Okobo Local Government Area in General.

In our strategic stakeholders meeting held on Sunday, 21st of August, 2022, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, we deliberated on a good number of salient issues affecting the area, amongst which is the intentional tenure elongation of NAOS executive orchestrated by Bassey Odiong Unung-led administration, at the end of the meeting the following resolutions were reached and agreed upon by the stakeholders as follows;

1. Whereas the incumbent NAOS executive led by Bassey Odiong Unung came into power on 7th of August 2020 and the said executive council tenure elapsed since August 2021, making the Bassey Unung led exco staying two years in office without lawful reasons, an act which is a gross violation of his oath of office and oath of allegiance and the Supreme Constitution of the National Association of Okobo Students Worldwide as captured particularly in Article 7, Section 7 of the NAOS Constitution which provides thus:
"The Executive of the Association shall stay in office for one academic session unless he/she is otherwise removed or he/she resign in accordance to the provisions of this constitution". The continuous stay in office of Bassey Odiong Unung as the President of National Association of Okobo Student (NAOS) after the expiration of his constitutional tenure is an outright abuse of the constitutional provisions and intentional act to marginalize deprive the students of Atak-oro extraction from participating in student leadership positions in Okobo Local Government.

2. Whereas the conventional zoning system favour Atak-oro extraction to produce the next NAOS President.

3. Wherefore, we pass a vote of confidence on Hon. Dr. Sylvester Effiong Attah, who has one time been a student leader and currently the chairman of Okobo Local Government Area, for his student-friendly disposition which has led to the approval of funds for payment of bursary to the students of Okobo Local Government. And we insist for a peaceful dissolution of the present NAOS Executive and election of new Exco members to pilot the affairs of Okobo Student before the payment of bursary.

3. We hereby call on Comrade Bassey Odiong Unung, as a matter of urgent importance to convene a general Congress, dissolve his outlived Excos and constitute an electoral committee that will perfect all arrangements for an hitch-free transitional electoral process and usher in a new regime for kobo Student within two weeks starting from Monday being 22nd August, 2022 to September 4, 2022.

4. Any refusal or further stay in office beyond two weeks from today, August 22, 2022 shall see to the aggressive mobilisation of our members and other dissatisfied Okobo students from various institutions across the country embarking on a peaceful protest to further press down our earnest demand at the Local Government Council Secretariat.
she

5. We use this opportunity to notify th authorities that ATAK Oro Students will always remain law abiding, as citizens who knows and understand the doctrines and principles of equity, morals and good conscience, even as we expect NAOS president to imbibe the spirit of sportmanship, team work and respect for the grundnorm of NAOS in the exercise of his official obligation.

6. Once again, We humbly and most respectfully pray for understanding of our reputable and lawful demands as we call on the Grand Patron and Executive Chairman of Okobo Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Sylvester Effiong Attah, the Okobo Local Government Council and other key stakeholders within and outside Okobo to embrace the voice of equity, natural justice and fairness by supporting the dissolution of National Association of Okobo Students (NAOS) Excos before the payment of bursary since the process can be facilitated by the supervisor for education or the newly elected executive members, for the interest of peace, unity and collective good of the students of Okobo Local Government Area and Akwa Ibom state in general.

ORO MEDIA PROFESSIONALS DECRIES INCESSANT PIRACY ATTACKS ON ORO - CALABAR WATERWAYS

The Oro Media Professionals has condemned in its entirety the increasing rate of sea piracy and insecurity on the waterways of Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers State.

We condemn in strong terms all sea robberies particularly the recent attacks of those travelling in the creeks of Calabar to Oron , and we call on all those engaged in the act to rethink and stop the barbaric, criminal acts in the interest of humanity.

In a trending video seen on social media on Saturday, July 16, 2022, suspected sea pirates have kidnapped male occupants of a boat ferrying passengers from Calabar to Oron. The passengers in the video were pleading for help and asking for rescue.

The assailants who left behind all the female passengers, including a Catholic nun, were said to have waylaid the boat a few minutes after it had left Calabar enroute to Oron, Akwa Ibom State.

The waterways which have seen increased patronage due to the deplorable state of the Calabar-Itu road have witnessed a spate of pirate attacks that have left passengers and commuters worried.

Governments need to pursue all possible options in order to re-establish safety and stability in the Oron - Calabar waterways, which is one of Nigeria’s most strategically important waterways.

While we commend the efforts of both the Federal and State Government in tackling thjs ugly menace, we demand the establishment of coast guards to police waterways, particularly in areas not adequately policed by security agencies. In addition, the issue of community policing should be seen in practical terms rather than only in concept and a things of the lips.

Also, a more robust and effective vigilance group should be formally established to assist and complement the security agencies.

It is surprising that all the numerous youths groups in Oroland, have not been involved in the effort to bring down these ugly incidents in the state. The energy of youths, if left unutilised in positive ways, could be directed into negative, harmful use.

The most formidable youth groups in the land, the Oro Youths Movement, Oro International Forum, Essu Nlap Oro, Oron Union Youth Wing, etc, should work in close relationship with government and security agencies to come up with lasting solution; to ensure the effectiveness of vigilantees in our creeks and communities.

Since security should be the concern of all in the society, we urge the Government and security agencies in the state not to leave out communities in fashioning out effective strategies to bring about lasting solution; all critical stakeholders should be involved, including community structures, and retired military/security personnel.

Signed

Politics / Oro Media Professsionals Writes Speaker Gbajabiamila, Want Late Nse Ekpenyong's by FirstMediaNaija(m): 5:25pm On Jul 08, 2022
*ORO MEDIA PROFESSSIONALS WRITES SPEAKER GBAJABIAMILA, WANT LATE NSE EKPENYONG'S SEAT DECLARED VACANT*

... _urged INEC to fix date, conduct bye-election to fill vacant seat_

*By First Media Naija | July 8, 2022*

A non partisan coalition of frontline print, electronic and new media influencers from Oro ethnic nationality of Akwa Ibom State under the aegis of Oro Media Professionals - OMPRO has urged the Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila to declare the seat of former member, late Nse Ekpenyong vacant so as to enable INEC conduct bye-election to fill in the vacant seat.

The Oro apex media group in a letter addressed to the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, said the National Assembly should urgently declare the seat of the former member vacant to enable the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) fix the date for the bye election because the people of the people of Oro Federal Constituency were being deprived of proper representation at the Green Chamber.

Oro Media Professionals (OMPRO) which is a non partisan coalition formed to present a formidable platform to galvanise the people of Oro towards a common good also demanded the invocation of the provisions of Section 85 of the Electoral Act 2022 as amended in respect of the seat of the former member representing Oron Federal constituency in Akwa Ibom state.

“ We write to express the fears and predicament of our people to you and to draw your attention to the lack of representation of the people of the Oron Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State in the National Assembly."

The letter which has been sent to Speaker Gbajabiamila via his verifiable email address - femigbaja1@gmail.com , explained that the Oron Federal Constituency seat became vacant following the unfortunate and painful demise of their former occupant.

"Recall that pursuant to the demise of the former member, Late Rt, Hon. Nse Ekpenyong, on Saturday, April 23, 2022, and subsequent obsequeis on June 30, 2022; his seat at the Nigerian National Assembly has been vacant."

"In effect, it is about four months now since the seat occupied by the Late Nse Ekpenyong became vacant thereby leaving the people of Oron Federal Constituency without representation at the National Assembly.

"Our son, Hon. Nse Ekpenyong was representing the Oron Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State and would have completed his second term in May 2023

"Our worry and that of the people is predicated on the premise that Oron Federal Constituency has been deprived of representation and benefits that would have gone to the area and people based on the absence of any representation. .

"It is sad that Oron Federal Constituency was not present during the NASS debate and recent screening of Ministerial Nominees and other important legislative business that have taken place within this period.

"We, hereby, on behalf of our people in Oron Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State call on the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, to declare his seat vacant, so as to enable the electoral commission, INEC, to conduct a fresh election to fill the seat in the federal constituency as the youths and people of the area are becoming subservient with the unpleasant development.

"Mr. Speaker Sir, this serves as a formal notification, pursuant to the provisions of Section 85 of the Electoral Act 2022 as amended. While hoping to receive your cooperation, please accept the assurances of our highest esteem and solidarity always," they said.

Politics / Oro Media Professsionals - Press Statement by FirstMediaNaija(m): 8:55pm On Jun 21, 2022
*PRESS STATEMENT*

My attention has just been drawn to a spurious online publication signed by one Emmanuel Eneyo, insinuating that I, have been relieve of my position as Secretary General of Oron Federal Constituency Media Professionals - OFCOMPRO, (as it then was).

Ordinarily, I would have ignored the malicious publication and felonious activities of the purported group, but for the interest of the general public who may not be abreast with the recent development, I wish to put the records straight.

The defunct group, Oro Federal Constituency Media Professionals - OFCOMPRO, purportedly led by Mr. Marshal Abia, its structure is unknown to the CAC, and is not a registered organisation in Nigeria and therefore non-existent. The only media group in Oro known to law is Oro Media Professionals - OMPRO.

It is true that I served both as Founding and interim Secretary of the defunct OFCOMPRO. Marshal Abia, Emmanuel Eneyo, John Bassey, Victor Uno jnr, etc and all the interim Executive members were all to serve in various offices at the inaugural meeting convened by me on the 26th of February 2022 at Car Wash Shelter Afrique, Uyo. However, I have since dissociated myself from their recent partisan activities which are against the vision, objectives and principles of our envisaged Oro Media group.

The said Emmanuel Eneyo who signed my purported relieve of appointment is not a registered member of Oro Media Professionals and could not fulfill the conditions of membership as contained in Article 3, paragraph 2 of the Constitution of Oro Media Professionals. The above Article 3, (par. 2) states inter alia "A person to be qualify to be a member must possess a minimum of National Diploma".

To the best of my knowledge as a Foundation member and Head of Secretariat of Oro Media Professionals, Eneyo Emmanuel has not possessed a National Diploma to be qualified as a member, and to act as a signatory to any official press release. There is no constitutional provision of the Oro Media Professionals that empowers a hatchet man to turn the constitution or law on its head.

It is however laughable, the criminal attempt to defame, malign my person to have concocted a story to suite their intentions and hatred for truth, that I am not supporting Senator Akon Eyakenyi to be the Deputy Governor of AKS come 2023. Pure lie from the pit of hell. I have a principal, like wise all of them. Some are working for the SSG, some for Commissioner for Transport, etc, but one person found favour and was chosen to be the Deputy Governor from Oro. And all of us have to queue behind whoever has been chosen, which is Senator Akon Eyakenyi.

Therefore, the story making the rounds that I am against the deputy governorship nomination of our revered Senator is fake and unfounded.

The general public should completely disregard such as it has no iota of truth it. The defunct OFCOMPRO as a none registered organisation are only self-seeking, being used to blackmail Oro, with fifth columnists to cause confusion and destroy the original intentions of the legitimate group - Oro Media Professionals.

THE criminal attempt of the purported group OFCOMPRO to usurp the leadership of Oro Media Professionals (a registered trustee) and adulterate it lofty objectives by venturing into partisanship bothers on Intellectual property theft.

Relevant security bodies must now check and address their unscrupulous activities. The attention Marshal Abia, John Bassey, Emmanuel Eneyo and co seeks will not be given to them by Oro Media Professionals.
My vision of a Media organisation for the Oro people was and is still based on a non partisan philosophy, and principles of Truth, Integrity and Justice, with the objectives to project and defend the socioeconomic, sociocultural and political welfare of the Oro people through strategic media engagement, as contained in Article 2, paragraph 1 of the Supreme Constitution of Oro Media Professionals.

Yak Abasi Odiong Oro!

Signed.
