xtervaganza: Mr soldier, it would Be very easy for me to empathise with you but considering you people treat us like animals because we are bloody civilians it's hard for me to pity you
Until you people treat bloody civilians with honor and respect like your colleagues in the usa and uk we will continue to ignore your plight
In the usa and uk when bloody civilians see a soldier they consider them a hero and people even at times jostle to take pictured with them. In uk and usa there's a discount for ticket sales for people in the military (train tickets, movies and so on). Right here no business man will consider giving you respect or any discount in his business?, not when you have probably brutalised his child, friend or one of his family
Until you see bloody civilians as the reason you have a job( you swore under oath to protect them) we will not pity your pains and struggles
Bye Is this one okay? |

I always respect soldiers as my father was once one of them. Currently my uncle just returned from maiduguri to treat his broken arm and he's never been the same again cos of what he's seen, yesterday he got a call that his camp was attacked and he lost a good friend, he couldn't sleep and he doesn't even observe Solat anymore. |

49cents: You spoke well but let it be said that we must decide democracy or we don't or we ammend according to the rules and arbitrarily
Laws are meant for humans and not humans for the law!
If we continue like this we will get to a point that if a president doesn't like your face he can detain till eternity by deliberately replacing a cleared charge with another
Human freedom is sacred; the human person is of more value than the crimes they are alleged to commit.
The crux is that we mostly don't have a set of principles and charter we based our societies on.
If the judiciary is slow in dispensing justice wouldn't it be needful to seek ways how it can be expedited while allowing the defendant ample time and resources to defend themselves reasonably? Did I just see 'the human freedom is of more value than the crimes they are alleged to commit'? Why didn't they give orders to capture Osama bin Laden alive by all means then let him face trial or Saddam Hussein?.... I just pray we capture the leader of Boko Haram alive and let me see you touts here start chanting rule of law. |

Curlieweed: First, Gitmo isn't technically part of the US. That's the reason the detainees were kept there. It creates the required environment to keep them in legal limbo (or purgatory if you want).
Secondly, none of the Gitmo detainee is a US citizen.
In this case these people are Nigerians held on Nigerian soil but some criminals in power refuse to obey the simple principles of separation of powers and the rule of law. You can't enforce the law by breaking the law. That kind of arbitrary abuse of power is a pure recipe for anarchy .
I'm not in anyway surprised by all this. Anybody could have predicted that the Mumuharri , the Daura President is too daft to understand how an orderly modern society works.
Enjoy your change ! E no concern me. Just look at you, you'll say you're educated and yet just see the way you talk about your president who's old enough to be your dad. Now if I insult your father you'll get angry and start ranting poo yet you don't respect your president. It's just as if you addressed your parents as daft and dullards you know? |

I think you got his perspective wrong too. He's trying to say that: Before the discovery of oil, kano was fending for itself through agriculture, look up the massive groundnut pyramid that was set up there in the 60s and find out. |
