@ MD. I am in awe of your knowledge of Hondas Please my 2005 CRV Steering pump just failed. Where do i get a good one and at how much? Plus my VSA and Brake light has been on for 3months now. whats the implication? I use a mobil super when replacing my car engine. in order? Thank you |
@ iceman Thanks for your concern. I buy the oil myself and i pour it myself. It started with one per month and later increased to two per month. Now i buy an average of 3 per week. It only goes to show the engine is bad. It smokes as well I want to buy a tokunbo engine. How much is it? is it advisable to ring? |
My honda Crv 2005 Engine has gone completely bad I buy mobil special oil every week at 3000naira. It dosent get worse than that, does it? Where can i buy a good engine and at what price? Your Suggestions would be appreciated. |
@ BIZBOOKS: How long will it take to lagos? will it be shipped in a container or RORO |
Good |
@ mufasa: what has been your experience so far? would you a golf 4 to anyone here in Nigeria? @Sienna: in your assesment, would you say the Golf 4 has been a success giving the myriads of reported challenges topmost being electrical issues. i ask because i might be buying one pretty soon. |
SO i read Alhaji's comment and i said to myself, not again. I have drawn inspiration to post my experience as against my earlier decision to keep quiet and count my loss. i have however decided to speak now for two reasons.I have come to realise how much people can benefit from it and to expose the different fraudulent dynamics of car sellers. You think Alhaji's case is bad? i think mine is worse.Early this year, a nairaland auto dealer posted a clean looking 2005 'tokunbo' crv on the internet. After several calls and a physical inspection, payment was made. My CRV arrived its destination within lagos and hasnt had caused to over heat. When the VIN report came out, the jeep has been shipped to Nigeria as far back as 2008.I bought a well used (4years) CRV that was sold as a tokunbo. I wonder how they pulled it off but i think we should expect to see more of such gimmicks being played out in this era of new number plate. At this point, i began to pray it is not a stolen car I may not have fallen victim if only i waited for the VIN report which arrived pretty late. This is a clarion call to those who help with VIN reports to continue to do the good work they are doing perhaps with greater efficiency. I decided not to talk for varied reasons. Firstly, i thought i was foolish to buy a car without the VIN report so i decided to count my losses and move ahead. Secondly, i must confess i bought it at a reduced price. Honda CRV, i later learned sells for about 1.7m and i bought mine for 1.4m. So, i said to myself, u got your money's worth. Just recently the AC stopped working and the technician who inspected it realised that the compressor in the vehicle was a customised one. i.e the original one has been replaced, perhaps after a fault, with an arranged one. Now i have to buy the original which sells for 40k. I also had cause to work on the tyres at the back when it started to make noise and develop K-leg. When the mechanic tried to work on it, he realised there has been several temporary adjustment made. I am not an auto geek so i cant provide the actual details. I dont know what to expect. Sincerity is key. I could still have bought the car if he told me it has been used in Nigeria perhaps not at the price i bought it. I have decided to conceal the name of the auto mart where i purchased the car but would do so if the moderator urges me to do so. God knows best |

Lagos_Boi:Lagosboi, God bless u real good! |
@ OP: Did u eventually get married to him? how is ur son doing now? I like finished stories. That is if yours is true anyway |
Interesting thread i must say. I think as a general principle, a Man must trust his wife and vice versa. When you begin to distrust your partner, your marriage becomes a time bomb. However, we must also acknowledge that no one is perfect. Point therefore is don't go about with wild imaginations in your head and try not to get your self killed when you hear of your partner's(anyone) imperfection cuz after all said and done, we remain mere mortals! Essentially, it is pertinent to maintain a compromise. a middle cause. |

It is frightening reading about job loss left, right and centre. Poverty in the midst of plenty! |
What if the woman insists on circumcising her own daughters? I'm sorry, but I'm just not interested. It's hard enough for a marriage to succeed when both parties are 100% complete. That would be an additional burden! It's hard enough to satisfy a woman with a clit. Trying to satisfy a woman without one is like trying to prove the existence of God. It ain't happening! i haven't observed this side of seun |
oga, na passport(or visa ) no be pilot! |
is anyone still having issues about C.ronaldo position about the current best free kick taker? |
@SIENA: as persuasive as your argument is, am at loss as to the major reason why it shouldn't be done. Lack of technical expertise or the alteration of the centre of gravity? If the latter, that brings to mind sports utility vehicle. I must admit that car makers advertise the higher roll over risk (see honda crv 2005 model for example), but when a car is lifted slightly, it is still not as high as SUV. relatively, is it still not a safe practice to raise CAR base(s)? |
People entertain the idea of raising their cars (not just the base) because of bad roads i have heard its not a good idea but bad roads makes it compelling, |
Many thanks inspired, i am inspired! |
Dear Inspired, You are touching so many lives with what you do for us here pro borno. Everyday people making million naira purchases with information they get from you freely, it dosent get any sweeter than that. Please kindly help check the VIN request by zaenab : SHSRD78545U301330. Many thanks |
Siena:given that you are german-car enthusiast However, the seller is suggesting a tokunbo of the same car sells for around 1.8m to 2m Is that much the gulf in class btw golf 4 and golf 5? Golf 6 will soon be out if it isnt yet anyway |
