Aiteo emerges Nigeria’s leading oil & gas company with record 90kpod output in 1 year

The company is confident that its significant gas resources at OML 29 will transform the country’s oil rich Niger Delta region into a power generation hub of repute before long

LAGOS, Nigeria, March 10, 2017/APO/ — Integrated energy group Aiteo (http://AiteoGroup.com) has announced a peak production of 90kpod just one year after its acquisition of sub-Sharan Africa’s reputedly largest onshore oil bloc OML 29.

Aiteo acquired OML 29 in September, 2015 when oil major Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) fully exited the facility. At the time of the divestment, average production was 23Kbpod. But Aiteo, one of the frontline sponsors of the justconcluded 16th Oil and Gas (NOG) Conference held in the country’s capital Abuja, says it has tripled this figure leveraging the diversity and skills of its work force and bona fides as a dynamic international energy conglomerate.

Aiteo’s ambitious five-year objectives include tackling the power challenges in Nigeria head-on through its legacy investments in the gas-to-power value chain

Its CEO and Vice Chairman Benedict Peters said the company grew production from 23kbbl/d upon takeover of operations to a peak of 90Kbbl/d in one year. He also highlighted several existing and developing projects that could potentially grow Aiteo’s asset production to over 150 kbopd and 200mmscf/d. He said: “Our outlook is bright with 3 producing oil fields and viable crude exports via Bonny terminal. We also have contingent resources to appraise and prospective ones to explore in the medium-to-long term, including full 3D coverage and 2P NNS reserves at 1.6bn bbl. Put simply, we have a clear vision for the future with the experience and assets crucial to providing oil and gas consistently on a regional and global scale.”

Aiteo’s ambitious five-year objectives include tackling the power challenges in Nigeria head-on through its legacy investments in the gas-to-power value chain. “This is a testament to our commitment to the transformation of the entire oil & gas value chain into a world-class landscape,” Peters added.

The company’s main subsidiary Aiteo Eastern E&P is also a major infrastructure provider for Nigeria’s oil industry as the operator of the 97km Nembe Creek Trunk Line, an industry-wide evacuation pipeline for produced fluids covering much of the country’s Eastern Delta region.

Aiteo’s Group Managing Director Mr. Chike Onyejekwe said: “Our growth drivers remain strong leadership, high commitment and motivation, technical and commercial excellence and superior asset base. In the next five years, our operations will continue to be guided by these qualities as we leverage our capabilities comparable to oil majors elsewhere in the world. Indeed, the future is Aiteo.”

In the interim, Aiteo says it is developing a pipeline of power generation projects across Nigeria. The company is confident that its significant gas resources at OML 29 will transform the country’s oil rich Niger Delta region into a power generation hub of repute before long.

Kaztec owned by Sir Emeka offor

Kaztec Engineering Limited (Kaztec) is one of the fastest-growing engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) companies in Nigeria. Established in 2005, the company has already completed several projects. Kaztec’s breakthrough project came in 2007, when it was awarded the engineering, procurement and construction contract by the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) to construct a 24-inch diameter, 107-kilometer long gas pipeline to convey gas to a gas fired power plant in Calabar from an offshore gas producing facility in Adanga. Based on its successful performance, Kaztec secured another contract from NDPHC in 2009, to rehabilitate and upgrade its gas metering facilities and perform integrity assessment tests on some of its existing gas pipelines.

In 2010, Kaztec was awarded a contract; TB-1921, by Addax Petroleum Development Nigeria Limited (Addax) to install subsea pipelines and topsides on Oil Mining Lease 123, offshore Calabar. Installing pipelines, risers and other subsea equipment and connecting them to newly-installed platforms and topside facilities required the full support of Kaztec’s fleet, which currently include the Ekulo Cheyenne, Ekulo Tornado, Ekulo Spirit and Ekulo Explorer. Kaztec also utilized remotely operated vehicles and air and saturation diving support in its execution of TB-1921.

Kaztec completed Campaign 2 of the TB-1921 contract in 2011 and started working on Campaign 3 immediately afterwards. By mid-2012, Kaztec and Addax had agreed to work together under an alliance framework based on the success of both Campaigns. The alliance framework entails the collaboration of personnel from Kaztec and Addax in the performance of the engineering, procurement, construction and installation, as opposed to the standard client-contractor relationship. This model ensures that Kaztec continues to develop its capacity as a full EPCI contractor and that TB-1921 projects are completed on-time and below budget.

Kaztec has received ISO 9001:2008 Certification and is currently a member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM), International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) and Pipeline Professional’s Association of Nigeria (PLAN).

Kaztec is currently developing an oil and gas industrial facility on 531-hectares of land in Snake Island, Lagos. This facility is being developed in stages and when completed will include a fabrication yard, pipe coating facility, pipe mill, engineering base, office space, residential buildings, helipad, among other structures. The company is also acquiring more vessels to support its offshore engineering capabilities.

Kaztec is a subsidiary of the Chrome Group; a conglomerate with many subsidiaries operating in various sectors of the oil and gas industry, such as exploration and production, servicing, petroleum and petroleum products trading, logistics and inspection services.

StarOfDavid:
[s]How did gov Willie Obiano within a short time know it was a drug fight, did he conduct any investigation within that short time or he is telling us that he had intelligence report on the impending mass killing?

Why is the media hiding the exact figures of the number of people who died, afterall it all happened inside the church and definitely, if they had been shot in the church, the dead will also be inside the church, will be easy to find and counted.

Again why was the attack carried out very early at 6.am ?

Again how come police was quick to evacuate the dead?

how come this attack is happening just a day after the circulation of a hate song in the North?

Why has there not been any other story asides the interview Gov Willie Obiano granted which all the media houses are making references to,

All of a sudden we are seeing blogs post comments of faceless people on facebook arguing that it was a drug deal with a bishop, who do these people think they are deceiving.

Going through the comments, I cant but weep for Nigeria. Nigerians are very bizarre human beings.

So this Marafacka is now trying to politicize peoples death? If he were not campaigning for governor, will he be here? Was it not the other day he was seen in the news pushing a disabled man on a wheelchair?

Is this not the same Senator Andy Ubah together with his hopeless brother that nearly destabilized Anambra by kidnapping A sitting governor? Is now crying? Do Anambrarians really know who this demonic and evil human being? Do people know how many souls this despotic charlatan have wasted in his quest for power?

This man is a cultist and has too much blood on his hands. Anambra rise up and take over your state. THIS MAN IS A MIILLION TMES MORE MORONIC THAN MBADINUJU. He is very worthless and has nothing to offer. Observe him in the senate and you will come to believe me. He has an insatiable quest for power and always looking humble. Forget that. Behind that humble look is a very bad man... Very bad than Beelzebub himself.

The worst thing Anambrarians will do to themselves is to allow these pigs to take over their state. The kind of evil that will befall Anambra will make Boko Haram look like childs play.

Fymak Marine & Oil Services Nigeria Limited is a wholly indigenous company established in 1988 to provide off-shore marine services to the oil and gas industry in Nigeria . Our growth has been steady primarily as a result of the performance of Fymak crew in the field. Fymak's staff strength is key to our success. Currently, Fymak provides employment to 95 highly skilled Nigerian personnel. Fymak is guided by the vision and principles of hard-work, efficient performance and customer satisfaction.

The actual involvement of Fymak Marine in offshore marine services was mid-wifed by Mobil when in 1989 the company awarded us our very first contract for the supply of a fast parol boat, MV Tiger Bay . In spite of our limited experience in this sector, Mobil identified our company as a committed player unlike some of our contemporaries who preferred to be commissioned agents. Needless to say, Fymak was at the time the only wholly Nigerian boat owner working for Mobil.

As if to underscore its commitment to the growth of Fymak, Mobil in quick succession awarded two more contracts to Fymak in 1990 and 1991 for the supply of a crew supply vessel, M V Tampa Eagle and a self-propelled barge, MV Sindara . We on our part worked hard to justify Mobil's confidence in our company by ensuring satisfactory performance of Fymak Crew and seaworthiness of our vessels.

It was a measure of the confidence that Mobil had in our increasing mastering of offshore service delivery, that in 1998, our company was invited to tender for the supply of purpose-built new vessels to meet the requirement of Mobil at the beginning of the new century. Our bid was successful, and between 2000 and 2001, Fymak acquired four state-of-the-art crew supply vessels - MV Abuja Eagle , MV Omambala , MV Qua Iboe River and MV Delta Princess , all of which are currently working for Mobil. Indeed our track record at Mobil contributed in no small way to our securing a contract with Chevron in 2003 to provide two new crew supply vessels.

Fymak Marine & Oil Services Nigeria Limited has established and maintained its position as one of the leading oil service support providers operating in Nigerian waters.

Meeting our goals is the singular focus of our team of professionals and board of directors, whose experience and expertise will drive Fymak's vision to fruition.

Global motor assembling plant Lakki
LAGOS—Globe Motors, a leading auto mobile dealer in the country is set to boost Federal Government’s automotive policy from July when it rolls out first set of vehicles from its $150 million assembly plant in Lagos next month.

Chairman of Globe Motors Holdings, Mr. William Anumudu, who disclosed this in Lagos, yesterday, said the company was putting finishing touches to its assembly plant located at Lekki area, adding that the plant had a capacity for 40,000 cars on completion and would generate employment for 3,500 Nigerians. However, the plant will produce about 6,000 vehicles annually for a start, including passenger cars, pick-ups, high capacity buses and trucks. Anumudu added that another 10,000 jobs would be created indirectly as a result of the multiplier effect of the plant. According to him, the company will start with the production of Semi Knockdown parts, SKD, and later graduate to complete knock down parts, CKD, for Hyundai, Higer and Globe Motors brands. He further explained that the company would be assembling three brands of automobiles, including Hyundai (Korea), Higer (China) and its own brand, adding that the company had signed agreements with the Original Equipment Manufacturers, OEM, of these brands to produce the vehicles to global standards. Commending the government for coming up with a policy for the auto industry, Mr. Anumudu said: “We have made a lot of progress in the new plant. We keyed into the government auto policy, though we were hesitant at the beginning, but we have realized it is the way to the nation’s economic development.”

What are Yorubas known for in areas of industrialization

PAI Group owned by Ike Ejizu paid N16 billion for 95 per cent of the equity interest to acquire Ascot.

Under the terms of the deal, he said the group would also take over the non-statutory liabilities of Ascot while AMCON would shoulder the company’s statutory liabilities amounting to some N6 billion.

“Ascot has a tax liability of N6 billion, of which AMCON will pay N3 billion to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) while the balance will be paid to other agencies of government that Ascot owes,” he said.

He said with the sale of the firm, its new owners would be able to revitalise its massive fabrication yard in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, and provide jobs for thousands of Nigerians.

Although efforts by THISDAY to reach Ejizu were not successful, industry sources conversant with the transaction disclosed that the Ascot acquisition could prove to be very lucrative for PAI and its partners.

THISDAY learnt that Ejizu, who holds controlling interest in PAI, also doubles as the Country Director/agent of Samsung Heavy Industries, which was awarded the $3.3 billion contract for the Egina deepwater oil field operated by France’s Total.

Industry sources confirmed that the Ascot fabrication yard in Port Harcourt has been certified by Total for the local fabrication of the Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO) vessel that will service the oil multinational’s Egina field.

Ascot Offshore, an energy services firm once led by Mr. Henry Imasekha, came into prominence in 2007 after its $155.25 million acquisition of Willbros Group Nigeria Holdings from its US parent, Willbros Group.

Willbros was forced to withdraw from Nigeria, following its indictment alongside Halliburton and others by the US Justice Department and US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for bribing Nigerian officials to obtain and retain $387 million in Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) contracts.

In May 2008, Willbros was fined $32 million in combined penalties, disgorgement and pre-judgment interest by the US SEC and Justice Department on allegations relating to its operations in Nigeria, Ecuador and Bolivia.

However, after Willbros was taken over by Imasekha’s Ascot, it borrowed heavily from the defunct Intercontinental Bank Plc in order to complete the West African Gas Pipeline contract that had been awarded by Chevron Nigeria Limited to Willbros before its departure from Nigeria.

Ascot’s ability to deliver the project was however hampered following a disagreement with Chevron on the execution of the gas pipeline contract from Escravos to Benin Republic, which resulted in the former defaulting on its loan obligations to Intercontinental Bank.

Owing to its inability to repay Intercontinental Bank, AMCON took over the firm and has managed Ascot’s operations until it was sold to PAI.
