PoliticsRe: Why Do Igbos Want Biafra But Don't Want To Relocate by FKO81(m): 7:14am On Jun 22, 2017
In 1991 as part of the United Nations-facilitated transition of power to the transitional government, it was agreed that the EPLF should set up an autonomous transitional government in Eritrea and that a referendum would be held in Eritrea to find out if Eritreans wanted to secede from Ethiopia. The referendum was held and the vote was overwhelmingly in favour of independence. In April 1993 independence was achieved and the new state joined the United Nations.
In 1991 the EPLF-backed transitional government of Eritrea and the TPLF-backed transitional government of Ethiopia, agreed to set up a commission to look into any problems that arose between the two former wartime allies over the foreseen independence of Eritrea.

Pavore9:
You need to read up on after Eritrea got its independence from Ethiopia in 1991, how Ethiopian officials are intermittently picking up Eritreans living in Ethiopia and having them deported to Eritrea, dumping them at the border to find their way into Eritrea that is not doing well in almost every aspect of life.

Amnesty International don write reports tire, changing nothing. Ethiopia like some other crazy Countries don't care what UN and all other international bodies think about their actions.

Should Nigeria break up, it is to everyone's interest that bridges are not burnt.
You are so ignorant

The Eritrea–Ethiopia Claims Commission (the Commission) was established and operates pursuant to Article 5 of the Agreement signed in Algiers on 12 December 2000 between the Governments of the State of Eritrea and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (the "December Agreement"wink. The Commission is directed to
decide through binding arbitration all claims for loss, damage or injury by one Government against the other, and by nationals (including both natural and juridical persons) of one party against the Government of the other party or entities owned or controlled by the other party that are (a) related to the conflict that was the subject of the Framework Agreement, the Modalities for its Implementation and the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement, and (b) result from violations of international humanitarian law, including the 1949 Geneva Conventions, or other violations of international law.
Eritrea Ethiopia Claims Commission
In July 2001 the Commission sat to decide its jurisdiction, procedures and possible remedies. The result of this sitting was issued on August 2001. In October 2001, following consultations with the Parties, the Commission adopted its Rules of Procedure. In December 2001 the Parties filed their claims with the Commission. The claims filed by the Parties relate to such matters as the conduct of military operations in the front zones, the treatment of POWs and of civilians and their property, diplomatic immunities and the economic impact of certain government actions during the conflict. At the end of 2005 final awards have been issued on claims on Pensions, and Ports. Partial awards have been issued for claims about: Prisoners of War, the Central Front, Civilians Claims, the Western and Eastern Fronts, Diplomatic, Economic and property losses

Excuse me am not a yoruba, if that what u implies. And from experience too i know the yorubas not to be loud mouth, they archieve without bragging. Why their igbo counterpart brags alot at any little success even chinua achebe confirms that.
Too smart for your prank, forget your deceitful moniker, I know your chameleon style here, Igbos are richest tribe, most industrious, educated are most peaceful region to live in Nigeria, how can afonja agbo seller, carbucabu driver buy one plot of land of two million in Igbo village or 10-50 million in Igbo cities, that's why when our people tell them price they will think they hike the price because they are not indigene, our people buy same price and develop them, ask yourself why your kinsmen are busy selling their lands to Igbos in your domain because they know Igbos has the cash to buy or rent them at any price, have you ask why Yoruba landlord prefer Igbo tenant huh To avoid story that touch heart at the end of the year.

Those easterners are simply hostile and intolerant, most of the shops own by outsider in that region are often broken and properties stolen. And igbo do sell land to outsider, but in a different perspection. A yoruba man in lagos will sale a land to an igbo or hausa or any other tribe the price he will sell to his yoruba kinsmen. An igbo man in enugu will tag a boring and unwarrant prize to a land provided his an outsider. imagine u are to buy a plot of land at nnewi village at the rate of 50 million when u are aware a lot of igbo buy theirs at rate less than 5 million will u can get a plot of land in asokoro, abuja or lekki lagos with that prize if u meet a good dealer. The point is an igbo man has no intention to sell land to outsider but will do that if the outsider can bear the overbearing cost out of love of money am saying this out of experience
Conehead leave your mud enclave and visit east,
Why are you not investig in the north outside Abuja huh

keep on deceiving yourself. i do not argue with people who are sentimental. i am talking about reality and not fallacy
You and your uncle are the ones deceiving yourselves, either he doesn't have enough money to buy land in the east because lands are expensive when compare to north or west outside Lagos/Abuja or scared of Igbos.

i do not agree with you. i had an uncle who lived almost all his civil service life in SE nigeria. it will suprise you to know that no body was ready to sell a property to him, they rather rent properties to him than to sell. no matter the value of such property.
That uncle of yours is a pathological liar, either he has no money to purchase land or scared to invest in Southeast

Get out of here dude!

You are hostile to others....how do you expect them to bring investment to you?

Fix that fundamental first, build bridges...and the traffic will come.
Igbos are the most peaceful people.

How much property and stationary businesses do Northerners own in the Southwest outside Lagos (former capital)?

How much property and businesses do Yorubas own in the North outside Abuja?
I love the questions, great points from Azuka Onwuka-Punch newspaper

Same Ogun with big IGR was declared bankrupt last year, Ogun was among states that received Fg bailout funds twice, also top list of indebted state in Nigeria, Ogun also rated by NPF with highest rate of suicide cases because of economic crisis, Anambra never took bailout fund, Anambra have cleared bills on workers salaries, least indebted state in Nigeria, still doing massive projects than Ogun
