Stay away from that family. Aside you, your kids shouldn't have such people as aunties and uncles to them. The family is messed up and believe me you will be dragged into that mess soon |
If you mean well for him tell him to download cowrywise app, set a saving plan, set a date you want the money to be locked and let him be saving there. Any money he saves on cowrywise cannot be withdrawn until the withdrawal date. Except you have ulterior motives I don't see any reason why he should save in your bank. |
I use an old Tecno Pouvoir 4 pro phone... It's old with a cracked screen but I still hold it on my hand while walking. If you say it's because of feeling big then I am not in that category because there is nothing to feel big about my phone cos it's old and cracked but I don't give a f*ck. I hole my phone on my hand cos of pickpockets. I walk pass oshodi and mile 2 every morning and night and putting the phone in your pocket is a bad choice |
That toxic boss is what you need to keep your brain working. People who work under toxic bosses tend to be better at the job because they learn the act of working under pressure and also to multi task and get better You see ehhh that toxic boss will make you spot opportunities faster and push you to become your own boss but if you stay where you are comfortable doing same thing everyday, your journey to poverty will be smooth and swift. Fact that the toxic boss is offering 200k is an added bonus if you are prudent, you should save to start up something And one last note: most toxic work environments usually have loopholes for extra revenues... Your boss in all his gragra may not know when they are running another business in his company |
If you have data and claim you don't have a job you need to be flogged. You can't be online always and not be making money. No, I am not talking about making money online be it crypto, affiliate marketing, forex etc far from that. Infact I know nothing about those topic, I tried forex and crypto and lost woefully. What I am talking about is concerning making your data worth it. If you always have data while still looking for Job try move to major markets, take pictures of what they are selling and be posting on your whatsapp, facebook, instagram even tiktok and twitter. Be consistent, believe me the first few months will be tough cos of no sale but stay consistent, gradually people will get to know you. Some people will view your story and scroll pass but one day they may be in need of that thing and will remember that there is someone that always post that and before you know you have secured your first sale. Once they pay, go-to the market (the shop) buy it (ensure you seek for warranty and tell them you are a reseller) remove your profit and deliver the goods. I started this way. Working as a 50k salary earner I had free internet in the office. On Saturdays I will go to computer village, take pictures of laptops and tell the sellers to add me to their broadcast lists so that I can be getting updates of new systems. I will take pictures, ask for config and prices then upload on all my handles. It took time but I was consistent (after all I am not using my money to buy and store them). One day I made my first sale from someone that always views my status. I convinced him to pay, he paid and I rushed to computer village to get the laptop. My profit that day was 10k. Gradually sales started coming and I was encouraged to start running Ads. During covid when there was no salary I had time to base in market alot and there I got more contacts. My laptop business was fetching me more money. I was making sales without adding a kobo from my pocket. The sellers got used to me and sometimes will allow me carry laptops to deliver to customers via pay on delivery and once they pay I remove my profit and pay them their money. Fast forward to today I make a lot of sales and even have a car. Just a two years journey got me what 50k a month job couldn't. Don't stay idle, make ur data be useful. |
Free the man jare... Any creature that deceives others with love just to milk them dry deserves such. I expected Chinese govt to use their power and free this man. Whether man or woman, never deceive anyone to that extent |
yarimo:Like the ones killed like chickens in Ojota yesterday abi |
If he is a good father then there is a soft side of him that needs to be triggered. One thing about bad habit or addiction is that it is very difficult to handle. You can caste out a demon spirit but you can never cast out bad habit. It requires intentional actions. This is what I advise speak with him gently see he can see where he is hurting you and the kids, if he doesn't change take a brutal action by overlooking the responsibilities in the house be it the children's welfare OR house bills. It will hurt the kids and you but sometimes you have to have a heart of steel to cause a change. If he cares about the kids he will sit up and go hustle. He knows you will sort the bills that's why he gambles. Na who no get alternative OR see food chop dey gamble. Take that option out of his hands. If it means you slowing down your business, slow it down |
Over the years I have learnt that it is more profitable to help your fellow man than a woman. Helping a woman is like pouring water into an ocean. It is mostly taken for granted. Women have this notion to always get assistance from men. When a woman is stranded more than 10 men can be on ground to assist so she sees it as a normal benefit of being a lady. She doesn't really appreciate it like a guy will. For the ones that will appreciate it, they can be easily influenced by their man. I have helped a lady so much but was surprised that she got a boyfriend and the boyfriend told her he wasn't comfortable with my closeness to her and that's it she cut every means of communication and ended our childhood friendship from the hood just because of a boyfriend and girlfriend stuff. Some also may like to help but most of the time a woman's destiny is determined by who she married. You will see a vibrant lady that once she marries marriage will just suck life out of her, she will be so fixated in marriage that she may not recognize your help. These has been my experience with helping ladies so since then I switched the gear towards helping my fellow guys... The business I am doing now, I was introduced to it by my guy we met in NYSC camp. I helped him when he was stranded, fed and sheltered him from my little but after NYSC table turned, he owns his business, he is a big boy and while I was wallowing away in one yeye office work, my guy remembered me and introduced me to his business and things improves. Also I bought a car but was stranded when accommodation issue came, my childhood friend whom I helped raise rent when he needed it, I called him for a loan of 200k but this guy remmeberd how I helped him and said instead of him to loan me, he will dash me because he remembers... My guy added 50k made it 250k and dashed me. I can't count how many times I have benefited from guys I helped but the ladies even the one I supported with school fees back then in school so she won't miss her final year exam the monkey last year got married and I didn't know. Mind you all these ladies I mentioned non was my girlfriend and neither did I had romantic relationship with them.... Just strictly friends (coursemates, colleagues, church members, neighbors and childhood pals) |
Greatest0011:I did not see your number but I already replied your mail with my whatsapp line |
BotafogoJunior:OK send a mail or drop me ur contact |
Cutehector:Maybe that is how you see it. That calculation you did is applicable to salary earners that must factor feeding, transport and distance before considering a place. I am not a salary earner. I am a day earner, a business person. Today I can make 1k while tomorrow I can make 50k but it is certain I have no fix income. I can overlook the money I spend on transport, if transport itches me too much I can gather a little and buy a small car to drive to my biz area but one thing is certain. It will hurt me and my business to carry that money in bulk every year to pay to a landlord. Paying more than half a million yearly for a substandard house will itch me as a business person more than the money I spend on transport. Also don't forget that the year runs so fast. You can pay rent now and before you know it's another January and landlord will be expecting his money while you are yet to recover from the last one you paid. And chances of a house of 500k getting increased to 600k OR 700k is quite high, remember this is Lagos Nigeria the laws don't recognize the poor and landlords act with impunity So Thank you |
ThaRealist:Drop your whatsapp line let me buzz you |
You're very stupid to say that to a lady. Even a prostitute deserves some respect. If I am the girl, I will poison whenever you try to climb me again |
Tokskob2008:My brother thank you. I remember that your comment. I actually paid for that expensive one but decided to go through the comments a second time, after that I couldn't sleep then I called the landlord to refund my money, she did and I resumed the search. It was a bitter experience because my time was ticking and I was spending so much money daily on agents and inspection. I am glad I got this. I can actually overlook the transport so long as I am not taking so much money to landlord every year. 2022 settled my problem |
Good morning guys and happy new year. Recall that some weeks ago I made a post about my experience searching for a house https://www.nairaland.com/7484487/which-these-two-houses-should But after 5months of rigorous search, paying agents and burning an average of 5 to 10k daily on transport and agent all in the name of inspection I finally got a place. I didn't take the one in ikeja/ogba anymore after listening to suggestions of people here, I abandoned both that of Ogba and Aboru and continued my search. Someone told me that taking a house of 650k per annum means I will spend the year working for landlord, as a single it may look easy for me to pay but by the time wife enters things may no longer look funny, that was the reason I abandoned the ikeja/ogba house. For me Aboru was never an option because the transportation cost alone is much plus it is flood prone. My search took me to places like ayobo, iyana ipaja, agege, iyana Isolo, egbeda Berger, Ogba, alagbole, obawole, idinmu, Olodi apapa One thing I noticed is that there is a sharp increase in house right now and this started since June 2022. Also people will give opinion based on how much they rented their place and how much they are paying not realizing that presently things have changed badly. So, I go a decent place in an Estate in awodi Ora axis (close to mile 2). It seemed very far from my place of work but one thing that informed my decision is that 1. It is in a gated estate with security 2. The compound is gated with its own security and enough parking space to accommodate more than 8 cars 3. Extremely neat and serene, been there several times without hearing noise or kids jumping up and down, they are at home but always indoor and quiet 4. The rooms are very spacious (unlike the small spaces they showed me and called huge amount) 5. There is running water and a personal prepaid meter for every tenant. 6. Neighbors and passerby testified about the compound that its a good place and there is progress 7. Yearly rent is 300k per annum. 8. Trekkable distance to mile 2 The downside of this place is just that I will spend more on transportation going to ikeja daily about (1600 daily). But I can overlook the transport, I am not a salary earner so there are days I get some kind money like that. But for me to Carry that 650k OR 700k yearly for landlord, it will cause me big headache. Reason I didn't go-to nearby axis like egbeda, iyana ipaja, agege, ayobo they didn't resonate with my spirit. Ayobo felt like I was going to ogun state, agege and iyana ipaja hmmmmm the environment and faces alone I saw scared me. Egbeda standard housed begins from 500k, didn't want anything close to that. One thing I learnt is that the houses you see on Jiji, tolet.ng, private property, propertypro etc don't exists. Those agents upload fine houses with cheap prices to lure you so you can pay their inspection fee then they start showing you rubbish. I paid over 20 agents in almost every area of Lagos mainland and suburbs yet only Mr Martins in Ogba really worked, it pains me that I didn't get the house from him because he was like a father, patient and wasn't desperate for commission (I will settle him once I settle in the new house) Please if you need a house around Ogba, Berger, ikeja, Obawole contact mr Martin or Emmanex property 08038221196 We saw several houses some agents were trying to convince me to take, but Mr Martins would tell me the pros and cons of the house and why I shouldn't take it. We saw one like that I liked it but he told me the house belongs to a Baale and he wouldn't want his client to be in a place where rituals take place, I ran away. We saw another place nice house but troublesome landlord, he told me the history of the place and why I should leave it. |
DonPADRO:See let me tell you. I am from Imo state and I schooled in Enugu state. Enugu is a lovely city (so long as you remain in Enugu metropolis like okpara avenue, new haven, independent layout, presidential layout) aside these places I mentioned others are trenches. When I was in Enugu power supply was topnotch with 24hrs light. I kid you not, this was between 2011 to 2016. But one prevalent problem in Enugu is their terrible water situation. They don't have water at all even till now. Get ready to push wheelbarrow everyday and sometimes it can get worse that the place you buy water from may not have and you will have to go some days without bathing OR if you have strength to climb hills and go-to their gutter they call stream from faraway distance to fetch water. One bad side about Enugu people is their hatred towards Imolites (not all but above 60% share same view). I don't know the bad blood between them and Imo people but they definitely dislike Imo people. They have this popular saying that if you see a snake and an Imo person, kill the Imo person first before the snake. They believe Imo guys are cunning and Imo ladies control their husbands OR leave husband house (don't know where they got such narrative from). Some families will even disown their son or daughter for marrying someone from Imo. This is not hearsay, this is a personal experience, if you know an Imolite based in Enugu ask him about what I am talking about. They prefer to date Imo guys, use Imo girls but will run to marry their people. I had a relationship with two girls I was hoping to marry. They told me that I am a calm, caring and loving guy but they can only date me and cannot marry me because I am from Imo and their pple will disown them. I ended the relationship cos I see no reason dating who I cannot marry. So I will advise if you are hoping to marry someone from Enugu, be careful, she might just chop and waste your time or even if she accepts her family may frustrate your marriage... Though Enugu and Ndi 042 are beautiful and decent, if you are lucky to find a good one from a family that doesn't discriminate good for you, else look for other ladies in the state cos there are so many beautiful ladies in 042, avoid those Nsukka, Ubolo, Ezeagu, Enugu Ezike girls they are local, desperate and diabolic I think the best sets of people in Enugu are Udi and Awgu maybe Nkanu and Aninri |
This year I entered without a resolution. Like I am not having positive vibes at all. I have no plan for the year, I am just having uncertainty. Ending part of 2022 really got me stressed, frustrated and depressed. I ended the year searching for accommodation which I finally got yesterday and paid after 5 months of rigorous search. That messed up my head |
For my relationship this year, I just hope to double hustle save up enough, add another stream of income, put my parlour in order so I can make that girl my wife in 2024. |
harlee:Thanks bro... Isn't meiran flood prone? |
akaahs:E-hailing na uber or Bolt na. Get a good car, register on uber or Bolt. Go for inspection. Once they approve u, start hustling. A week u can make 80k especially in Lagos depends on how u hustle |
dyera:Hope when you talk about shares you are not talking about shares in Nigerian companies. Those ones one bad policy from the govt will just cripple everything. I am still surprised that people still see car as a liability. Bro you got change that mentality. I was a salary earner, earning 65k a month when I saved up after some years slaving to buy a car and resigned immediately... My brother, the kind of money I made with my Toyota matrix in 6 months doing e-hailing covered all my slavery in office work for two years. I have a second car now and I no longer drive. I do my business while people drive and remit to me. Car no be liability ooo |
Golan007:Fool! Nigeria has just 2.2% of global crude oil deposits in the world yet nigeria is regarded as a major oil producing country. Imo may be 1.06 or 0.68 but still has enough to go round for years. Don't allow percentages to reveal your illiteracy |
juliusijidola:My money was refunded back. I am still on the streets searching ooo. I deposited 700k on Saturday evening with promise of balancing 88k on Monday because the account the Money is doesn't have neither app or ATM. I promised to go-to bank on Monday to make over the counter withdraw of the balance but on Sunday I was called to send my account details that someone already made full payment. E pain me sha but it's well. Still searching The way they do it. If your rent is 500k. They divide it into two that's 250k So agent fee 100k Commission 100k Caution 50k While some landlords may add service charge (which comprises of lawma, security bill, etc for the year) maybe like 30 OR 50k depends. So a house of 500k u may pay between 750 to 800k total package depends |
juliusijidola:No, not a modern one. Call Mr Martins OR Emmanex Property 08038221196. This is the best man for the job. Like a father and we saw many houses but he will advise u take this, don't take this. Unlike other agent that will see any rubbish and want you to pay so they can get their commission. Mr Martins is really patient and easy going. Once I recover from the expenses I have intentions of surprising him with an alert. |
MrReeseG:Ikeja |
MrReeseG:Try ke... Me still dey find mini flat of 500k for over 5months now |
Stupid old man. Tell us what you can do not throwing insults. This era of politics has long passed |
Mindlog:You are stupid. People like you are the ones that encourage these men |
kriss27:Thanks.... I have a car on rentals for uber |
Peter4good:Brother this house matter tie wrapper. Shasha na useless area, after much hype, I went there too in search of house. It is inside and you will spend more compared to egbeda. My budget initially was 350k, I thought I could get a mini flat in egbeda, iyana ipaja but I was wrong. I searched tire, even house of 400k is nothing to write home about. At a point I opted for a room self con but was told to budget between 250 to 400k for self contain in egbeda/iyana ipaja with total package around 500k... Omo! I had to raise my budget and got a mini flat apartment of 500k in Ogba because I also work in Ikeja. It was yesterday I made payment, yet to even balance up. It doesn't make sense paying 400 to 450k in Egbeda and still have to spend 1000 daily on transport to work plus the danfo guys can hike price at any slight increase or when they see a rush of passengers. I have once paid 500 to ikeja from egbeda before so that's why I decided to pay 500k in Ogba where 150 will take me to Ikeja. Rents are outrageous now in Lagos and only God will help us. Those who tell you that you can get cheap houses of 350k around Egbeda OR iyana ipaja are not in touch with reality, perhaps they got a house early this year or last year or have never looked for house before so they just assume. Seems like since June this year there was a sharp increment of houses in Lagos, almost every area in Lagos ooo. I went to Abesan they told me that I cannot get a mini flat there. I went to Baruwa they said I can get old house for 350k while new house for 450 to 500k , it doesn't make sense because Baruwa is inside plus traffic stress better I calculate the transport cost and stay in Ogba. I also went to Aboru, that place is nothing to write home about jare yet a mini flat is 350 to 400k and you will spend N300 alone to get to iyana ipaja, there is dust prone and there is High tendency of getting robbed even around 8pm. I went to iyana ipaja, Illepo axis the story is the same, 400 to 450k for mini flat. I went to dopemu, akowonjo, cement, those places are factoring their rents cost to that of ikeja. Dopemu I saw a rat hole for 400k, same with cement, akowonjo is a nice area too but their prices no be here and e be like people no dey gree pack comot. I tried agege, agege is cool but I struggled to find a place, you can try it sha, though I saw one of 400k, it's nice but I didn't like the environment. I tried Abule Egba mini flat is between 400 to 500k, I ruled that out because the transportation cost will be heavy on me. I came down to Ojodu Berger the two I saw for 450k were discouraging, I thought to myself instead of paying 450k in Berger I will rather pay 500k in Ogba. I took my search to Obawole part of Ogba and I got a place for 400, 450k yet bike alone from Ogba to Obawole is 200 for two passengers, N400 for one passenger, I rejected Obawole. I went to Iju shaga, I saw house of 350 to 400k. Nice houses but I also factored transportation cost, it's better I remain in Ogba, also when I did my findings about Iju shaga I learnt that they do observe some of their traditional festivals where movement will be restricted. That is not good for a man going to work. After toiling the whole of lagos in search of house for 5months, yesterday I took the hard decision to pay 500k in Ogba for a mini flat ( total package 788k) I am still even scared of the 500k rent but God dey. Man go double hustle. Below is a screenshot of several agents in the different areas you may be considering. I have searched round lagos and I have contact of agents in each area. Good luck and hope you get a place soon
