Governor Mohammed A. Abubakar has honored 11 outstanding 2015 Batch A National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Members who distinguished themselves during their service year in the State.

Speaking during the State Merit Award presentation at the Council Chambers of the Government House today Thursday 14th April, 2016, the Governor who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Engr Nuhu Gidado commended the Corp Members for their exceptional performance and their dedication to nation-building as exemplified by the contributions they offered to their various host communities.

The Governor further advised them not to allow their contributions to end with the completion of their service year as there are numerous areas their experience are needed in the country.

While responding, the Bauchi State NYSC Coordinator thanked the Governor for his support which has seen to thepermanent relocation of the State's NYSC Orientation Camp from Mangu in Plateau State.

His Excellency the Deputy Governor of Bauchi State used the medium announce that among the numerous successes already recorded from Gov Abubakar's ongoing official visit to the Peoples Republic of China, an agreementhas been entered into with the Chinese Government to make Bauchi State fully ICT Compliant.

This tragic accident occurred on Wednesday 13, 2016 at Daki Takwas KM 30 along Abuja -Kaduna Road. The occupants of the car who are car dealers (judging from the plate number)were seriously injured and rushed to a hospital nearby... Although their current condition is unknown.

In continuation of the ongoing clearance operations of suspected Boko Haram terrorists hideouts, troops of 155 Task Force Battalion conducted a patrol to Nimila village today during which they rescued 14 persons from the clutches of Boko Haram terrorists and recovered weapons. The rescued persons were mostly women and children.

The troops also recovered 3 Dane Guns; a single barrel and 2 double barrels. They further recovered 3 motor cycles abandoned by the terrorists, in addition to 2 mobile telephone handsets.

His Excellency, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu was in Kaduna State to attend Kaduna Economic and Investment Summit‪#‎KADinvest2016‬, the first investment summit to take place in Northern Nigeria.

The event is targeted at investors both locally and internationally to boost development and partnership with both the private and public sector. Unveiling the economic vision, the state Governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai took participants through his government’s five year plan on how to achieve the vision.

Giving his goodwill message at the forum, Governor Bagudu stated that competitiveness is a product of policy and investor agencies must do their best to showcase the comparative advantage of the North in agriculture and the incentives for investors. He also applauded the initiatives being carried out in Kaduna state and encouraged others states to look inwards to do same.

Pictured is the driver who hit the RRS rider...Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command arrested him for a traffic offence and for knocking down an official of the law.

The driver, Yusuf Ogunbiyi, 35, an auto-technician was chased and arrested at his workshop in Ogundele Street, Off Ikosi Road by another team of RRS riders closed to the scene of the incidence.

Ogunbiyi, who drove a Toyota Sienna, 2003 model with the registration number LSD 573 DR, said he was going to Oregun from Mowe. ‘I got to 7up, I didn’t know the outlet from Ikosi Road was One Way, I entered it and I was waived down by a Traffic Police Officer and a LASTMA official but I tried to evade them, unknowingly to me, an RRS rider was equally trying to stop me but the vehicle too close to him, I swerved off immediately with a bid to escaping crushing him.

But, I ended up knocking him off the road with the bumper. I was too shock and afraid, even though my colleagues in the car told me to stop, I sped off. They traced me to my workshop and that was where I was arrested”, he explained.

I am sorry for everything, I didn’t know that place is one way. I just finished my apprenticeship and looking for funds for my graduation. The RRS rider, Corporal Nasir Abdul who sustained injuries,was seen limping at the RRS headquarters, Alausa, Ikeja. He has been taken to Accident Emergency Centre, at Old Toll Gate, near Ojota for treatment.
