PoliticsRe: The Fulani Militias Terrorizing Nigeria Are Criminals Not Jihadists by flokii:
You think you're in the 18th century of Usman Danfodio?.. you think Fulanis can take on the entire Nigeria without backing of some enemies of Nigeria that have infiltrated Government?.
Fulani will conquer South in your deluded mind.

It's just painful that the Yoruba President we have who is from a majority tribe indigenous to Nigeria is dragging feet in dealing decisively with the menace of Fulani minority group. Our people are not known for cowardice, I don't just know what the problem is.
PoliticsRe: Kwakwansiyya Gives Reason On Why He Is Not Supporting The OK Ticket by flokii: 12:09pm On Jun 02
The poster has every right not to.. Obi's supporters vowed not to support any ticket with Obi as VP, so Kwankwaso's followers too have every right not to support any ticket with Kwankwaso as VP.
It's fair play if you ask me.
PoliticsRe: 2027 Election: Peter Obi Will Get A Bitter Taste Of Fulani Soon by flokii: 12:02pm On Jun 02
The funniest part of this whole thing is that the same Igbos that were clamouring for biafra, insulting Yorubas, Hausas etc. for their continued stay in "captivity" are the ones romanticizing Kwankwaso, a Fulani supremacist and islamic radical.

I know the guy sef no too put mind for NDC.. he is just hoping to use Obi's followers to his own advantage in 2031 when they will tell Obi point blank that it's the turn of the North.
I wish I can see the faces of those pastors and their members crying religious war in 2023 because of Obi.
PoliticsRe: My Biggest Disappointment With Tinubu by flokii: 11:06pm On Jun 01
What the man is not realizing is that if Nigeria isn't safe for Nigerians.. he himself isn't safe.
It's not about going around with escorts and security every now and then. Once a monster becomes too big, it can drag the entire country, continent and the globe down.

I don't know why these politicians always feel the lives of the ordinary citizens don't matter. It's as if they get blindfolded when they get into office not to see the predicament citizens are going through.

Nigeria can't survive a second civil war cos from all indications, Fulani minority group wants to throw Nigeria into another civil war.
PoliticsRe: At What Point Did Nigeria Lose Its Way? by flokii: 10:51pm On Jun 01
I think it was immediately after our independence, when people like Nnamdi Azikiwe nursed the anbition that his people would dominate and lord over other tribes upon exit of the British that merged us together.. the reckless statements he made back then are everywhere.
Then the first bloody coup of January 15, 1966 happened followed by reprisals from angry soldiers and civilians alike. Till today, Nigeria hasn't really healed from the recklessness of those old ethnic bigots.

Then issue of Militancy in the Niger Delta region, abductions, blowing of pipelines repaid with huge monetary settlements for militants. I wrote about 10 years back that such actions would have repercussions.. the terrorists the Northern elites have forced us to be reffering to as bandits are their own way of getting huge settlements from milatancy (in this case insurgency). Most of them see nothing wrong with the carnage going on in Nigeria today, even though they are getting themselves destroyed gradually. From the rehabilitation and reintegration they are doing for repentant terrorists, you should know that something is amiss.
We all are in danger as far as the status quo remains.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Too Great To Be Intimidated By Insurgents — First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu by flokii: 2:21pm On Jun 01
Nigeria is seriously bleeding.. Madam First Lady please have human sympathy and tell your husband to act bbefore the situation gets out of hand.
We don't need petty talks at this time.. we didn't vote the President into power to be hearing petty talks please. Just like it's done in saner climes where leaders voluntarily resign, if he can't act then he knows what to do. Let those with ideas step in.
PoliticsRe: Insecurity: Fewer People Have Died Under Tinubu Than Previous Govts" - APC Chief by flokii: 2:18pm On Jun 01
Who gave birth to these ones for crying out loud.. how can a sane human being make such statement from his mouth?.
Hope say we never enter one chance like this.
PoliticsRe: The Kidnapping In Oyo State Is Political by flokii: 2:10pm On Jun 01
I am very disappointed with this OP.. I used to think he was a smart person but now I know better.

Kidnapping whether political or not should not be trivialized for any reason whatsoever.. those children deserve protection from the Nigerian State, not the traumatizing experience they are getting in the hands of their captors.

You have sold your conscience because of 2027 elections that noone is sure who will or will not be alive by then.
I am so ashamed of what Yoruba people have turned to under this govt.. so so ashamed. Some insensitive ones are busy parading themselevs as city boys when Nigeria is currently on fire.
CrimeRe: Saddest Image On The Internet Today by flokii: 8:52pm On May 31
PBAT please don't put us to shame.. majority are running out of patience. A likely civil war is brewing already and you people seem not to be aware.

The only difference between these killers and the ordinary citizen is the gun they are wielding freely.. even though we warned about this injustice of Fulanis carrying weapons around in the name of protecting cows but our leaders failed to listen.

If the security outfits have been overwhelmed... Mr. President sir, allow Nigerians to bear arms and watch this insecurity end under 6 months.

How many people Fulani wan kill when everybody get gun?.. Our oga at the top, please consider this and make it an option, history will be kind to you sir.
PoliticsRe: 2027: Anambra Government imposes campaign permit fees by flokii: 8:46pm On May 31
Just imagine if this was done in Lagos, Ogun or Oyo.. those who crossed over 1,000 miles into South West would have been wailing and be calling the State Governors unprintable names.. But watch how they'll go mute.
One Nigeria sham we are running.. it's still their people they will milk dry, how many Yorubas or Hausas campaign in the East? Your guess is as good as mine.
PoliticsRe: APC Names Damilola Sonayon-James As Lagos Deputy Governorship Candidate (Pic) by flokii: 6:01pm On May 31
absoluteSuccess:
Did your forefathers (with due respect) told you this?

If they did, they are wrong, let me educate you and them, so that next time you can correct their usual grandstanding and historical amnesia on others history, and check their love to claiming others endowments as theirs.

The term Lagos came from "Lagos de curamo", a Portuguese phrase that implies Lagos is akin to the island of the Portuguese it's named after.

The naming of Lagos was 16th century or earlier, Egba was not founded then.

Egba was established in the year 1830, in Igbo Egba, by internally displaced Yoruba people of the interior, sacked by the Oyo and the jihadists from their original homes.

These people arrived at the realm known as igbo Egba, looking for a new site. They eventually settled at Abeokuta.

Their enemies were many and the reason they were attacked often by Dahomey was because Dahomey (Egun) believed that it's sphere of influence extended to where the new Egba country has pitched it's tent.

Coming back to the Egun and Awori, the folks have always been at the corridor they are found today. You are ignorantly cherry picking.

And as for the íjebu, if you have clue, you should understand that Epe and Ikorodu, eastward part of Lagos is peopled by the Ijebus. If you can be ignorant of this, then you know nothing about the subject.

You can always make case for your Egba as you people always like to make claims that makes you happy and grab it all.

But you are late comers sha.
There is no point dragging with you.. real Yorubas know those who came to our lands to settle from Cotonou.

FYI, Lagos was originally named Eko.. the real name of Lagos State is "Ilu Eko" not the Portuguese hogwash you're claiming.

T9ksy:
What about the ijebus in Epe and Ikorodu?
Yes, Ijebus too are in Lagos (Epe and Ikorodu side), I mentioned it in my earlier post.
PoliticsRe: Why The Followers Of Colonel Ojukwu Should Stop Saying He Released Chief Awolowo by flokii: 5:55pm On May 31
Gowon released Awolowo from prison after the Ironsi govt. got toppled in the Northern counter coup... he did it out of good will and to quell the tension in Western region.. anything short of this fact is a lie.
A simple search on the internet will show you videos of Awolowo meeting with Gowon to thank him.
PoliticsRe: APC Names Damilola Sonayon-James As Lagos Deputy Governorship Candidate (Pic) by flokii: 1:28pm On May 31
absoluteSuccess:
What do you mean by settlers?

That will make Save, Cotonou and people of Ketu, "settlers" in republic of Benin, going by your assumptions.

Lagos indigenous people are:

Awori
Íjebu
Egun.

The rest are people who settled in Lagos much later.
Go and ask your forefathers.. Egun people migrated into Lagos State from I think Cotonou or so.
The first settlers and bonafide land owners in Lagos are the Awori and Egba people. Anything outside that is revisionism.
PoliticsRe: Open Letter To Pastors N Yeyebrities In Nigeria by flokii: 1:22pm On May 31
Davido shocked me with the post he made.. he showed courage in a space where cowards dominate.

Forget those fake pastors that took bribes to tell lies in America that there is no Christian genocide. Majority if them have CCTV cameras in their homes with heavily armed bodyguards guarding them and their families 24/7, so expect them to see black and call it white.

That's how bad the corruption in Nigeria is now.. even religious bodies are hustling for their pockets while a minority group hold the entire country hostage.
PoliticsRe: APC Names Damilola Sonayon-James As Lagos Deputy Governorship Candidate (Pic) by flokii: 1:11pm On May 31
LoganKunle:
Finally a Lagosian, we thank God
That she is from Badagry doesn't mean other Yorubas in Lagos State are not true Lagosians.. Lagos is made up of largely Awori, Egba, Ekitis, even some Ijebus. Badagry people are mostly Egun whom are not even indigenous to Nigeria, but settlers.

Please be guided and stop distorting the history of Lagos State.
PoliticsRe: APC Names Damilola Sonayon-James As Lagos Deputy Governorship Candidate (Pic) by flokii: 1:07pm On May 31
Congratulations to our incoming Deputy Governor and possible future Governor of Lagos State.
PoliticsRe: Biafra Day: Aba Turns Into Ghost Town As People Sit At Home by flokii: 9:50pm On May 30
We need restructuring ASAP.. these ones are doing sit at home because they know money they didn't work for would be shared for them every month.. check their IGR and see the nonsense this country is breeding.
PoliticsRe: Joe Igbokwe Blames Opposition For Kidnap Of School Children In Oyo by flokii: 9:48pm On May 30
jmoore:
Whatever substance that's behind this thought of yours, may it remain permanent!!
They kidnapped school children in the North (Borno I think) who are still in captivity as we speak... why didn't Peter Okoye mock Borno people the way he did to Oyo people?.
Okan gbogbo yin o ni bale.
PoliticsRe: Oil Prices Have Crashed But Nigeria Fuel Is Still High by flokii: 9:41pm On May 30
The day President Tinubu will lift ban on importation of cement is the day Nigerians will brethe a sigh of relief.. the paid posters defending Dangote's unreasonable cement price in Nigeria will be the same ones explaining how he managed to reduce his price when people start buying cheaper cement.

Take it from me, so called indigenous investors are the ones destroying Nigeria's manufacturing sector.. they'll make demands that government should protect them and ban their competition.. then they turn back and start doing nonsense, making life hard for the masses.

They have destroyed cement sector, now house rent has gone beyond reach of the common man because of one man's greed.. People can no longer build or complete their houses because one useless entity wants to remain on Forbes list.. as if that's not enough, they want to take over the petroleum sector and be dictating prices as they like, making life more difficult for Nigerians

I remember the first time I picked the Petroleum Industry Act to read, I saw all the shenanigans and schemes by Northerners to give Dangote monopoly and I shook my head... I just said shame on these ones.
PoliticsRe: Southern Heavyweights Shun Atiku’s VP Slot As Running Mate Crisis Rocks ADC by flokii: 9:31pm On May 30
Atiku's plan was to persuade Obi to run as his VP.. how the Agulu man managed to escape is mysterious.
Now he wan spoil show for Atiku.
PoliticsRe: Nobody In The Southeast Should Protest Against Anybody Kidnapped In Oyo State by flokii: 8:43pm On May 30
Nobody asked for your protest.. go and fish out James Nwafor and those responsible for murder of thousands of Anambra youths before coming here to talk.
Hypocrites.
PoliticsRe: Joe Igbokwe Blames Opposition For Kidnap Of School Children In Oyo by flokii: 8:40pm On May 30
It could be Obi people that are behind it sef.. see what Peter Okoye posted mocking Oyo people because the fraud he is rooting for didn't win South West.

Yorubas need to wake up.. we must set firms boundaries now before it's too late
PoliticsRe: Yvonne Jegede Calls Out Tinubu Supporters by flokii: 2:22pm On May 29
What stops Yvonne Jegede from contesting for post of President?.. I hate when people just seat in their comfort zone to talk trash. 'talk is cheap'.

Yvonne Jegede come out to contest, someone like me will gladly vote for you. If you think we'll support certified failures like the Agulu fraud, better think again.
PoliticsRe: What Will Be The Fate Of Igbo People In 2027 by flokii: 2:18pm On May 29
They will try all in their power to bring down the Yoruba-led government in 2027.. they will vote massively against the ruling party and then cry marginalization later when they get kicked out from appointments.

Their ohamdike sealed his own fate, shebi he wanted to burn down Lagos, now they have sent him to Sokoto to meet his Fulani lords where he'll be tamed.
PoliticsRe: Yoruba-igbo Rivalry: How Political Scapegoating Blinds The Southwest To Real Sec by flokii: 2:12pm On May 29
You can't gaslight us anymore.. what belongs to Yoruba must stay with Yoruba. Igbos have their politics that they shut other Nigerians out from.
So Igbos won't come to South West to disenfranchise Yorubas by dragging our political posts with us. That's greed and wickedness.

If you think you're too smart, go home and represent/lead your people, stop coveting what belongs to others.
