We still remember the days of fuel subsidy with recurring fuel scarcity, long queuing hours at filling stations, artificial fuel scarcity during festive periods and so many abnormal events happening in Nigeria prior to PBAT administration.

The era when some unpatriotic, greedy Nigerians held prayers for naira to crash so they could make profits on their dollar savings at the expense of the millions of impoverished Nigerians.. lazy set of people who wanted quick money from collapse of naira.

Most Nigerians (myself inclusive) know the economy is really hard at the moment, which is expected due to world politics and the war between Isreal and Iran in the Middle East.. but what most of us also know is that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Very soon things will return to normal and Nigeria will flourish again.

Some of us are too educated to fall for gimmicks from desperate politicians who know nothing about how economy of a country works.

The newly appointed Ministers like Mr. Oyedele of Finance Ministry needs to understand that Government work is "soldier go, soldier come, barracks go still remain".
In 20 years from now, long after he must have exited Office, there will be someone to seat in that Office he is holding today and that person will push policies he/she feels is best for the economy of Nigeria at that point in time.

A good example is Malami, the former AGF who was behaving as if he was the law, where is he today?.
Bottom line is.. no king forever.

If Alex Ekwueme had not use his bad belle to cripple industries Yorubas were building, back in our early days, by now Nigeria would be self-sufficient in terms of local production and we wouldn't need to rely on China for imports to survive.

The issue of subsidy, floating of naira and whatnot wouldn't even be on the table, the same people still want to keep scattering things when Yorubas are trying to save this country from the mess excessive importation caused for us.
