SIRTee15:Setting up a business in a Free Zone is a different ball game entirely from producing locally.. Free Zones are exempted from all the necessary checks, regulations, taxes, fines, etc. from the Government of Nigeria unlike those outside the Free Zones (within Nigerian Customs territory). Don't worry, let Mobil complete their refinery, then you'd understand the difference in classification. As it stands now, we consider petroleum products coming from Dangote Refinery as imported products that attract import duty and levy, unless the Customs guys decide to do otherwise |
A section of the PIA gave owners of refinery license to import petroleum products.. It's like Dangote was hoping that since he'd be the only one with refinery, they he only will have control of petroleum products coming into the country and be selling at any price he likes.. That was why Emefiele was pumping billions of Nigeria's money into a privately owned project. Any Nigerian rejoicing over Dangote refinery when none of Nigeria's refineries are functional is a mor0n.. It's just like rejoicing over any random person opening business to make profit. He didn't open refinery to solve your problems or dash you free fuel, the earlier y'alll realize this, the better. The Dangote guy should go and compete and stop relying on blackmail and sentiments to have sole authority over what 220 million people in Nigeria depend on. The benefits of competition are too numerous.. consumers will have options to select from, will have cheaper options, fair pricing will come in, product improvements, improvements in quality and standards, etc. You either sell good quality things or go out of business. That's the rule of the free mearket. Yes to FREE MARKET, No to MONOPOLY |
Under Military there was discipline and accountability.. democracy has done more harm to Nigeria due to the freedom to lo0t by some priviledged ones in the country. If you people know the billions upon billions that is sinking in NNPC alone from crude oil sales.. no records and nobody being held responsible. That's Nigeria's resources they are sharing including revenues from multinationals that are getting embezzled. Like I tell my friends, Nigeria has no business being poor because we have abundant wealth from our mineral resources. The bad leadership (picked from bad citizens) are the problem of Nigeria. We've grown to be self-centered with zero interest about well-being of other Nigerians. When individuals feel okay packing and stealing money in excess when they won't take a kobo to the afterlife when they die, then we should know we are in big trouble. Even up to palliatives they give people to distribite, some still seat on it till everything gets spoilt in warehouses. Kilode omo Nigeria? Why the wickedness??. |
Racism and sexism written all over the election campaigns in America.. by November now, everybody go rest and new President sworn-in. |
No they won't.. I hope PBAT is not relying on their support or votes to win election cos they won't give him support. They prefer being under Hausa-Fulani than taking orders from a Yoruba (history can't lie). President Tinubu should sign South West Development Commission Bill too else he might lose South West support in 2027.. the people that stood behind your election should be you major priority, not those who didn't give you 5% of votes in any of their 5 SE States. |
Googledotcom:That's not creating business, that's exploiting unsuspecting victims. You claim there is hunger yet printing shirts for hungry people to buy at 6k. How silly. That's why they are targeting Lagos to reap many suspecting victims of their hard earned money. |
In 2012, Yorubas like Tinubu, Soyinka et al. staged peaceful protest in their home South West region, that way nothing was destroyed and no blame game. In 2020 and 2024, non-Yorubas want to stage rage protest only in South West region when they have their own separate regions with far worse living conditions. Imagine a family man/woman earning 18K as minimum wage in some States when sanitation workers in Lagos State are already earning 70k minimum wage. Yoruba ronu. Let every genuine protester go back to his or her home State to protest. |
Fake news. No source or link. |
Iceberg3:Amen. Are you afraid of God's wrath?. Are your hands not clean or what?. |
Iceberg3:The reason you people are still having mouth to talk is because Yorubas didn't retaliate by going after Igbo properties in Lagos after EndSars destructions of Lagos that IP0Bs (with 99.999% Igbo followership) hijacked the peaceful protest in Lagos under orders of Kanu, Mefor and co. In case you want to pretend Igbos didn't take part in the EndSars destructions of Lagos, we heard the callers giving status update on how Ikeja, Amuwo-Odofin and co. were being burnt to the ground. If you say Yorubas hate you and Yorubas aren't moved and don't give a damn, don't you think it's time to leave and say your 'Goodbye'?. If you think Yorubas won't pay you back im your coin this time, you'll be shocked beyond your imagination. Shey you people always think you have monopoly of wickedness?.. Go back to your home States for protest, you've been warned. |
Nothing like black OPs.. you watch too much sci-fi movies. I consider Abuja safer for PBAT due to the environment and easy access routes in and out of the city. Except they will ask non-Yorubas to leave Lagos, no president will be safe in Lagos, it's going to be like the Murtala and IBB era when it was easy to topple Governments. Another thing to consider is the plenty 'omo ales' and 'akotiletas' in Yorubaland now.. they have no real identity, never proud of their Yoruba roots, never willing to use their God-given brain to think such that anyone can just come and push them around.. most are cross-breeds so their allegiance lies with their mother side. If you put your mind on such people thinking you've seen fellow Yoruba, you're as good as dead. |
See as lips black.. I'm sure that nigga is the type you'd see inside the bushes on campus blowing trees while lectures are ongoing. Student life. |
Go and loot shops first and see if you won't be killed.. You have right to peaceful protest only, not right to loot, steal or destroy what doesn't belong to you. |
I ate one of my most delicious meals at NYSC camp that year (yam and pepper sauce, then the jollof rice). I would find myself on the queue waiting for it to get to my turn to be served hot yam or hot jollof. every other meal there, not interested, instead mammy market. NYSC was fun. |
Southern youths especially.. most youths in the South today see farming as stressful, with less appeal whereas that farming (agriculture) is one of God's many gifts to mankind.. Utilize the soil around you (or get sacs and fill with soil), plant anything you desire just by using stem or seeds and wait for some time to reap bountiful harvest. Our youths just want to walk into supermarkets and stores, pick preservatives & chemical-laden fruits and foods, GMOs & lab grown foods, then go back home to consume them. The Northerners held on to agriculture till date despite the many distractions including discovery of crude oil which I give them kudos for.. If not for bandits and whatnot, those guys for no get issue. |
I learnt the speaker is of Yoruba parents that have stayed long in Kano.. the way Yorubas and Hausas blend ehnn, needs to be studied. Congratulations to Eniola Badmus.. make she try network and know people cos na person dey help person. She looks healthier. |
Odin13:Lagos is hotcake now.. President Tinubu's friends from around the world need very large expanse of land to invest. You enemies of Lagos will be kicked out sooner than we thought and all lands previously occupied by you lots in Lagos will be reallocated to foreign and indigenous Yoruba investors. Una go get sense by force after Yorubas have completely destroyed you. |
Lovely.. Mobil refinery coming up.. BUA refinery in the works and many others showing interest. This way, one man (Dangote) won't have monopoly to be fixing price of petroleum products like he is doing in cement sector.. Let Dangote go and dictate to Mobil what price to sell what if dem born him papa well. |
Wish I could blast you without breaking NL forum rules.. In the South East today, people (both Igbos and non-Igbos) get harassed, killed with their properties destroyed just for going out to their workplaces and shops on Mondays.. you hateful big0ts on this forum from that part of the country see nothing wrong in that, but you expect Nigerians to ditch their senses and follow 'never-do-wells' organizing protest to destroy public facilities and loot businesses of hardworking Nigerians blindly. You can't see that y'all from that part are the greatest COWARDS to ever walk this earth if a man from far away Finland can place your entire region under lock and key as he likes. Spits. Let me predict what will happen that August 1, Yorubas will take to the streets of Lagos armed with whichever weapon they can lay hold on to secure their home State just like what happened in the 2023 Governorship elections in Lagos.. y'all will be dealt with on that Auugust 1 and the State Government will make final move to dislodge you people from Lagos for good. All those markets e.g. Alaba, you people are using to brag that you contribute to Lagos will be permanently shut and ownership of the land reallocated to maybe Lebanese or Indians that need lands to invest. Your end is near. |
Abuja no too get issue like that, their target is Lagos State and other bubbling South West cities. Kanu and his mob fear North pass anything. Ever heard him incite attacks against North like he loves doing against Yorubas?. Na the see finish wey we dey talk of be that. |
You want to go missing.. na strangers the oro dey deal with pass.. atohunrinwa sef dey make mouth. |
Na so so betting top chart.. Nigerians are not visiting dating sites again or what? |
That marriage is over.. it's for the man to send them packing, let them go and live in the church with their pastor. Attimes diasppointments might be a blessing in disguise.. now the man knows he has no family. |
That's ebo.. they mostly place it at T-junctions to "sell off" bad omen such as sicknesses, badluck etc. (So I heard). The catch is that you must not look at it or directly into the pot else you become the buyer of whatever it is they are selling (except you know God and serve the one true King). |
WikeTheDrunk:Stop constituting nuisance and go get a life. |
