The APC Chairman Imo State, Chief Hillary Ekeh has lashed out at the National Chairman of the party saying he has zero authorities to determine whatever happens in the Imo State Chapter of the ruling APC.

Chief Hillary Ekeh while speaking exclusively to pressmen at his residence said

"Oyegun cannot dictate what happens in imo APC, I'm the chairman here, I call the shots, John Oyegun can go to hell, the Imo APC ward Congress still holds today being Monday 14th May 2018"

Following the controversies that surrounded the 5th of May 2018 ward Congress in Imo State, the National Working Committee has ordered for a fresh ward congress to be held in Imo state.



Chief John Oyegun, the National Party Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) frowned heavily at Senator Osita Izunaso the National Organizing Secretary and Senator Ben Uwajumogu for not dropping personal interest during the Congress.

He therefore said a new date would be communicated soon but for the 5th May Congress, he declared it null and void.

Governor Rochas Okorocha has promised to give land to the winner of Big Brother Naija Reality Show, 2018 Edition, Mr. Miracle Igbokwe in any choice place in the State to enable him return home and build a house of his own.

The governor equally made a Cash donation of N2 million to Mr. Igbokwe and also extended another N2 million Cash donation to Miss Nina Chinonso who participated in the event. Both Igbokwe and Nina are all from Imo State. And they had all spoken well of the free education programme of the State Government while the event was on.

The governor made the donations when Mr. Igbokwe and Nina visited him at the Government House Owerri on Thursday, May 3, 2018, adding that Mr. Igbokwe has made the State proud by emerging the winner of the show.

Hear the governor “We are gathered here to welcome our son who has made us proud. Miracle is our son who went to South Africa for the Big Brother Naija Show. He spoke well of his State and was a good ambassador of his State. For this, we thought, it is proper that we receive him”.

The governor explained that “Usually, our State does not engage in receiving people for outings they have made, unless we consider such an outing one that has positive bearing to the image of the State. One thing outstanding is that these two great participants, Miracle and Nina spoke highly of Imo State. They stood tall and proud of their State, in South Africa. This is the reason for the honour and to say welcome back home”.

He advised Mr. Igbokwe to use the Fame to Propagate the ideas he believes in and never allow it to enter his head, promising to collaborate with him in seeing to the establishment of a pilot School in Imo State.

Mr. Miracle Igbokwe in his speech thanked the governor for finding them worthy to be honoured, adding that it is uncommon the leaders.

His words “I am excited about our governor because of his educational strides, especially his free education in Imo State. This is a great gift to humanity”.

He said he would see to the collaboration of the State government towards the establishment of the Pilot College in the State, to further open the state to the world, adding that his vision is to expand the aircraft simulation centre to a world class Aviation College.

The Honorable Commissioner for Transportation and facilitator of Ugwumba Movement Chief Lasbery Okafor in an interview with Forgetimes TV said he dropped his house of reps ambition to support the Ugwumba Uche Nwosu project.

Following the outcome of the maiden controversial meeting of the State Executive Committee (SEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, Sunday, former Senator and governorship aspirant, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume may be pursuing his guber ambition in another political party.

Araraume, who has been locked in fierce battle with the state governor, Rochas Okorocha for declining to support his ambition, it was gathered may formally announce his exit from the APC within the next few days.

It will be recalled that the former Senator had walked out on the state Chairman of the party, Dr. Hillary Eke and other SEC members during the Sunday meeting, in the company of the APC National Organizing Secretary, Osita Izunaso and Senator representing Imo North, Senator Ben Uwajumogu.

According to our findings, Araraume had already briefed his inner caucus on his plan to dump the APC, which he alleged has been heavily compromised.

It was also exclusively gathered that the former Senator was disappointed by the failure of the SEC members join him in staging a walk out during the Sunday meeting at the Concorde hotel.

Although the source did not disclose the party the aggrieved Senator intend to realize his ambition, our Correspondent gathered that majority of his supporters are holding key positions in the Action Democratic Party (ADP), indicating that it has been the second option for the ex-Senator.

Youth leaders of major political parties in Imo State were among thousands of youth leaders who converged in Owerri the Imo State capital for a well organized Imo Youths Political Summit tagged; 'COLLECTIVE RESOLUTION'.
At the well attended event, all recognized and formidable youth groups in the State made presentations on why the younger generation of Imo politicians should be allowed to stake their claim at the governorship of the State. After much deliberations, it was unanimously agreed that the most viable youthful candidate at the moment, who has shown the readiness to move Imo State to the next level is Ugwumba Uche Nwosu.
According to Mr Osinachi who stood in for the PDP youth wing in the State in his capacity as the President of the Imo State PDP Youth For Change, said he would have wished that the PDP in the State has shown any readiness to open its doors to the youths to vie for governorship, but all indications point towards the same direction of using recycled leaders, while the youths are treated like undervalued cannon fodders. In all these, I was ready for Lagos, to give to her and take as well.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE:
On that fateful day, after dressing up for CDS, I entered a Lagos Yellow Bus at Cele, going to Oshodi since my Local Government was there. The driver and his conductor were young Nigerians like me. They wore no smile nor make up. Their faces were just straight and focused on calling out to the passengers by shouting ‘OSHO-DI’ OSHO-DI’……Hold your N100 change. Since I have heard that Lagos is a NO MANS LAND, I maintained my cool and kept my face straight just like them. Along the line, the bus driver changed the direction of our bus, at this time, it dawned on me that I have entered that “LAGOS ONE-CHANCE” I heard about. NextNG got in a chat with the key executives from the Students Union Government of Alvan Ikoku College of Education Owerri due to the school closure by the management.
The SUG Executives speaking to us revealed that the Provost of the college of education Mrs. Blessing Ijioma has been lying on air and on information tabloids around the state, stating false reasons for the school closure.
It can clearly be remembered that Mrs. Blessing stated on air that the reason for the protest the students went on was because she restricted the females from sleeping in the males hostel, the SUG executives called the provost cheap for meting out such cheap lies on them, the executives explained that the protest was actually against them, the students protested against the SUG President and his Exco’s saying they were not capable of handling the positions and they have been bribed by the school provost to do what she wants, the SUG executives denied having anything to do with the provost claiming that she does everything without consulting them.
Another reason for the protest was because of the exorbitant fees forced on them by the Provost Mrs Ijioma like the
· Renewal of Acceptance fee N6,000
· Teachers registration council of Nigerian (TCRN) compulsory fee of N6,000
And an information pasted on the notice board saying “No School fees, No Exam”
The SUG said the provost was clearly treating them like secondary school children and that this has to stop.

The political pendulum in Mbaise swung in favour of the ruling APC as a former Governorship aspirant and Chieftain of PDP from Ekwerazu in Ahiazu Mbaise dumped the factionalised PDP for APC.

Chief Engr. Emmanuel Ojinere, Aka-Ji-Ugo 1 of Mbaise, Former PDP Senatorial/ Governorship aspirant, former Bot member Imo New face Organisation and ex- Imo PDP state executive member, officially declared for APC recently at his ward Umunomo/Umuchieze Ahiazu Mbaise LGA. Present was foremost ward leader and APC Chieftain Chief P C Onuoha, ward Excos, LGA party chairman, LGA ward chairmen and party leaders.
He cited poor reward system as one of the reasons he dumped his former party.

While addressing party members at the event, Engr Ojinere traced his political history from 1998 with the PDP but lamented the party has shown consistent hatred for integrity and loyalty. Ojinere who is the CEO of an oil and gas services conglomerate said his defection in Chief PC Onuoha's house is symbolic as his sojourn into politics started 16 yrs ago in the same home. Noting that after a critical analysis and observation of the current political events and trends in the polity, going back to the leader who introduced him to the game was an easy one for him

The Agents of Imo State Government, Saturday, bulldozed the fence housing the secretariat of the people’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the state.

The fence of the secretariat which was situated at Okigwe road in Owerri, the state capital, was brought down when the destruction equipments came ragging along other structures on the street in the ongoing demolition spree cum razzmatazz in the state capital.

The officials of the state Government have explained that the demolition exercise currently going on in the state capital was in line with Governor Rochas Okorocha effort in dualizing and beautifying the metropolis which they claim is one of the fastest growing cities in the country.

Orlu Road, Akwakuma, Mbari Street, MCC road, Okigwe road , Ikenegbu layout all in the state capital have been visited in the demolition spree and structures have been demolished .

The Owerri branch of the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, is currently at daggers drown with the state Government following an alarm it raised that the Government wants to demolish it property situated on Orlu Road in the capital city.

The students of Alvan Ikeokwu federal College of Education, Owerri, Saturday, staged a peaceful protest over the Government’s plan to demolish the only walk Lane flyover on the campus, demanding that a new one should be built before the existing one be demolished.

The state Government was also in war of words with ex minister of interior, Capt Emmanuel Iheanacho who was the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the 2015, Governorship election in the state, following the plan by the state to demolish his property on Orlu Road in Owerri.

The ex interior minister later instituted a legal action against the state Governor and six others and consequently obtained an order from Federal High court, Owerri, through an experta motion he filed. But the Governor personally supervised the bulldozing of the fence of his house less than 24 hours the order was issued by Justice Lewis Alagoa.

The Abia State Governor on the 10th of June 2016 paid workers of the Abia State University Teaching Hospital there January Salaries which he slashed "Demonically" from N350,000 to N20,000.

TheImpulseNG.com Spoke with a Doctor from the Abia State Teaching Hospital who confirmed the report and said his salary was cut down from N350,000 to N20,000 and accountants who received N150,000 were paid N4,000 while Orderlies(Cleaners & Messengers) who received N40,000 were paid N500 and some N1,000.

The Doctor who refused his name to be published told TheImpulseNG.com that the Hospital would embark on a strike action soon & throw out on the streets of Abia State with all black to demonstrate on the barbaric act of the Ikpeazu led Administration.
