Screening Gods of Egypt this morning. Will be back with my amatuer review..lol

I finally got to see Gods of Egypt today and it was really just and average movie for me.
Film critics have been voicing their opinion based on the fact that the characters where all white and supposed to play Egyptian characters. I think the company has issued a statement and apologised for their mistake. That been said, the movie was really lacking in originality, although the characters did their best in delivering their roles. The movie had some witty banters and funny lines and I think that was only what I found interesting. In all I’ll give it a 6/10 rating.

One cannot stress the fact that[i] nairaland[/i][b][/b] is a force to reckon with at this particular time in our lives, I personally think we can help it be greater with our suggestion and contributions.
I'm sure a lot of users on nairaland would love to see certain features included on the forum. Let's read what features you will like to see incorporated on the forum and hopefully Mr Seun can help deliver it.

I guess I’ll start off, I would really love Mr Seun and his team to incorporate a POLL feature on the forum. To the best of my knowledge we are only making use of like and shares to carry out POLLS. I think this feature is long overdue and should be incorporated on the forum to help us get the views and opinions of the average Nigerian on certain issues concerning our great country.
Over to you Naira landers. Let’s read your suggestions.

So i finally got to see #13 hours: The secret Soldiers of Benghazi, one word for this movie FANATASTIC! Micheal Bay did a superb job with this movie. The movie is intense and riveting. If you are looking to catch a movie with full on action packed with heavy shooting and explosions then this is your movie. If you are also looking to find out what happened in Libya where the US ambassador was killed then you should see this movie. The movie is replete with a lot of violence and gory scenes, so you might have to brace yourself while you are on the edge of your seat. Personally i'll rate it 8/10. Should be out in cinemas this weekend. Endorsed!!!

I gat loads of movies on my PC, some already old and deleted. I'm really looking for someone who prepares, packages and sells mostly hollywood movie CDs, and who i can partner with as a movie supplier (i.e, download good quality movies, and supply). All he'll do is to burn dem to d CDs). Yea, d idea sounds a bit like piracy, but hollywood know how they make their money, piracy or not cos their fans abroad have good cinema culture, unlike most of us. Most of us would prefer buying d already packaged movies on CDs, unfortunately most are dubbed and have poor quality.

Well, the thing is even though we indulge in downloading and watching movies, it doesn't take away the fact that its illegal. Going into it fully on such large scale even makes it more offensive. That aside, seeing that you are a movie lover I think there are other ways you can make an honest living out of what you enjoy doing. I mean, isn't that what everybody is preaching now "find that thing you love doing and make it your source of income". I'm currently trying to find a way myself to navigate through that popular saying.
We should probably discuss off her sometime and see what we can come up with...

Yea, I watched it too last night, It was great, I felt like I was back in the 90s, I loved d role Malcom played, He was thoughtful, disciplined, and not always in a hurry in taking rash decisions. True ASAP's role wasn't convincing but I overlooked it cos I was focussing on Malcom and his friends. Nice movie....couldn't believe I missed out on it last year.

Yeah! Malcom's acting was onpoint. I'm 100% sure it did not show in cinemas in Lagos..

I finally saw DOPE last night. Err! The first few minutes of the movie brought back some nostalgia from the 90's and i felt i should enjoy this movie. Forest Whitaker my man was doing the voice overthingy. Hol up! that where it about ended for me with the storyline/plot of the movie. The lens was fantasic, directing was on point and also the cast did good. Well some of the cast, ASAP Rocky and Tyga's role of drug dealers wasn't convincing at all. I'll give it a 7/10 seeing that its one of our own who directed the movie Rick Famuyiwa.
I couldnt help but think if any Nigerian Director over here could pull of a movie with the 90's constumes down here.

Yea they did show "DOPE" early last year I can affirm dat, I visited the cinema and saw d movie advert tagged "Now Showing", and I know their website and monitor all the movies dat are been shown.

STALKER Directed by Moses Inwang (who i feel is among the top directors in Nigeria) delivers with this movie. Although there are some goofs and little errors here and there, the movie is still a great watch. It features Jim iyke who has been out of the game for a while so to speak and Nse Etim. It should be hitting the cinemas on Feb 14.

I just saw MOMENTUM. Nothing new with the Plot, but still a good watch. Enjoyed the witty banter and dialogue between the "Boss and Actor". 7/10. I guess there should be a sequel.

I also saw the trailer for Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Looks like a nice movie too
