Am already in team July.
I think Area 8 is kind off far from Jahi. Will still make enquiries about it sha. Thanks for your response.quote author=PatKing post=64937069]
Welcome Momma, It will be easier you belong to a team, Just post your EDD ... so that Mommas can relate with timing. I am in Abuja, i use Garki Specialist Hospital, Area 8. Love them so much cos of their automated computerised system...minimal to zero room for errors. And it's a partnership with one of the ace Gynea in Abuja. (My opinion). Here you have options of: 1. Regular Doctor 2. Senior Reg(mine... cos I love seeing different doctors for varying opinions). 3. Consultant(didn't enjoy This, just one doctor to you at all apppimtment) Welcome to the thread. Welcome to Abuja.[/quote] |

Will sure do that. Thank you very very much. Jina24: They don't have enough hands?, just hearing that for the first time. Have been using that hospital for over ten years and had an emergency CS at 12midnight and all personnel were on ground.
Am not trying to hype them but I know they do lots of things there and they are equipped. Well, every hospital sha have one ish or the other.
Just search well and settle for one that you are comfortable with. |

Congratulations. Tinkybabe: So after my 39th week visit to the midwife, she asked about baby movement and I said it was not as active so she referred me to the hospital.. Long story short. I opted for induction on the 10th of January.. So was admitted to the antenatal ward. After 30 hrs of induction ( with pessary inserted) - I was still fine with codeine and paracetamol for pain management. The doctor came to check and said I was not dilated enough to get my water broken.. She performed a sweep which was extremely painful.
On Thursday /Friday midnight, my water broke itself.. And I called the attention of the midwives. Was in pain till morning.. I still was not dilated enough to go into the labour room.. At this point I asked for a shot of diamorphine which didn't seem to manage the pain.. My husband kept calling the midwife... The pain was almost unbearable.. But little did I know that the pain was little compared to what I was to experience.. After a while.. They said I was just a few cm dilated but I was taken to the labour room. This was on Saturday.. I was taken to the labour room at 1pm.
Was put on oxytocin drop to intensify contractions.. I experienced unexplainable pain.. The second dose of diamorphine was not even evident ( prior to this, I had already decided I was not going to get an epidural and my mum convinced me not to aswell.. Talking about side effects.. After 3 hrs of intense pain.. I demanded for epidural.. My mum and husband said I should not take it. At this point, I felt like kicking both of them out of the room.
The anaesthetists had to wait for minutes to have me comport myself to be still for the epidural.. After 8 hrs.. I still was not dilated beyond the point I was at the antenatal ward.. 3 doctors then came to me, I was infected and may have to do emergency Cs.. Did the Cs, I did not hear my baby cry, I was already panicking, asked my husband what was happening.. He tried to calm me down. They carried baby away immediately she was removed and started stitching or gumming me.. Hubby just sat there confused.. Later on, he went to where they took her.. After 10 mins, heard my baby cry.. Was overjoyed.. Baby and I were on antibiotics for 7 days.. Baby had to be taken to nicu at some point.. But we're finally discharged a day to the naming day.
We bless the name of God. |

Congratulations. Thank God it ended in praise. HolySteph: BS!!!!!!!!
On that day was my Hubby's birthday, we had just woke up 1am to pray and to wish him happy birthday and to also think of the grooving. During prayer section hubby made a wish and it goes "Lord give me a wonderful and special gift on this day". We slept back. 3am I woke up with so much cramps, I tried to endure it bcus the sleep was too interesting but na the cramps didn't stop instead it became worse by the minute. Initially I thought it was the cramps that comes with constipation because I was having severe constipation 3weeks before the day and only five alive juice can trigger stool, of which I still go through pains. Hubby woke up to the sounds I was making, he asked what the problem was, I told him not to worry that its just cramps but seeing how uncomfortable I became he was worried but I assured him that I'll be fine. I stood up, walked to the toilet to try pass out some faeces but no way, Thank God I didn't force it. I came out and went to the kitchen to eat something, I ended up drinking a glass of warm water to relieve the pain. All these while I didn't realise it was contractions.. Hubby said we should go to the hospital but I told him to wait for me to observe it besides it was still very early around 3am. So while waiting and observing, hubby decided to do laundry that took almost 2hrs... All through, the pain was coming and going I couldn't bear the pains I told hubby to dry up the clothes and let's be on our way to the hospital. It was 5am now we were on our Way. This time I was trying to control the pain but thank goodness I didn't scream or try going crazy but I almost did. We arrived the hospital 6am.. Got my antenatal folder... A nurse from the nursing station asked how it was doing me, then I explained, she told me its labour but I was still doubting it tho, she asked if my water broke I told her "No".. Then I asked her " how can someone be in labour and no water broke?" She said "it comes in different ways" ha ejo o!. So she led I and my hubby to the labour room to get checked. A doc came and checked said I was 5cm gone.. "Jesu" I shouted in my mind.. I looked at my hubby, he also had that surprised look on his face. That's when it dawned on me that its really true, that I'll be having my baby any soon. Meanwhile I and hubby didn't show up with hospital items. Hubby had to run back home to get my already packed bags.. He called his mom and she came along with him.. Called my home and sibling... So my mil came to stay with me in the room, ha all these while the pain was coming and going, I held the urge from screamibg, the nurses kept rubbing my back and telling me to breathe in and out whenever the pain starts and it did helped. Another doc came again, ha in my mind I was like why different doctors na?" That's how they'll be putting fingers inside me.. Not funny" the annoying thing is they check when the pain is there and they kept telling me to face up. Facing up was another nightmare bcus the pain became so intense Like the weight was on my spine. So the doc checked the second time I was 7cm gone that's at 7am. All these while the pain was coming at 1 and 2 mins intervals (I didn't count but I guess CU's it wasn't far apart). Whenever the pain comes I start taking deep breath, held on the rails of the bed(I'm very sure that rail screws must have been loosed, thanks to me venting the pain there). Sometimes the pain is beyond breathing in and out I just call the name of Jesus. By 9am.. The urge to poo came, I started saying I want to poo.. My mil was laughing I just shouted at her and said (its not funny!). The urge to poo became serious but the nurse told me not to poo or push, that I should try and hold it let her go get the doc.. She left to go call the doc, I was still screaming "I want to poo o! Allow me use the toilet. I wanted to get up from the bed, my mil held on to me to keep staying on my left. She said I shouldn't push it that its the baby , that I should try to hold on.. I kept trying but holding on I began throwing up. I threw up on the wall I was facing and on my bible.. The doc was finally here, checked me I was 10cm. He said to the nurse (move her over). Did I mention the nurse shaved me, na wetin I no go see.. I never believed I would be that exposed, even in front of my mil (I careless bcus I wasn't myself.. I was almost going crazy so who send nudity.. Smh). So the nurse and mil helped me out of the bed and undressed me and tied wrapper on me, I even told her to forget About the wrapper and let's get the thing over with.. See me and my everly busy thinking mind.. So I got to the other room I called 'War Room'. I called it that bcus its where we go to fight with ourselves, doc and nurses to bring baby out. The nurse helped me to lay on the bed and showed me what and how to hold on when I'm asked to push.. The rude doc said I should do as he says else he'll cut me deeply and he doesn't have much time to spend there , Jesus ! So I positioned, the doc would shake my tummy for contraction to come up so I could push.. So in every contraction I pushed.. He kept shouting that I shouldn't stop... I kept trying and trying, at a time there was no strength again I started telling them "pls I can't do it again, I don't have the strength" the doc rubbed the tummy, this time with so much seriousness the pain was unbearable then a voice from nowhere said "push like you're pushing a huge lump of shiit" then I took in a very deep breath and pushed and never stopped until I was satisfied, I felt a sharp tear like a blade tear and yes it was, the doc tore me, then I felt a huge poo came out and I was relieved, I dropped to the bed.. That's my baby, my baby boy I've been waiting all these months to see... They took him to examine him and clean him. I used the little energy I had to be sure it's really a boy then I saw his tiny peepee, there I was sure. I said in my mind "yeah its a boy" I closed my eyes to rest. Then I overheard the nurse saying my baby is 3.7kg. the doc started stitching... Another pains entirely. God Chai women! Any man way no fit appreciate us God go judge am. Its not easy. So my prince came out 10am that morning, screaming his lungs out. I'm so grateful to God, my families, this group. God bless us all for seeing us through this amazing journey. Without him it wouldn't have been possible. So my edd was supposed to be on the 5th of Jan but extended to 11th.. @curvillicious take note. BS submitted.
Thank you all. Pls ignore any typo error and wrong English.
For the rest still pushing, God will see you all. Supernatural birth is your portion. |

Hello mama's in d house. Have been a silent readers since beginning of August pending when I will get my edd to join a team. I went to miatama general hospital on Friday 1st of September for d first time since I missed my period and was told I was 2months,3days pregnant and dat my baby is doing good. I was excited like never before but it was short lived as 2hrs after I left d hospital I started feeling serious cramps, thought it was because I ate pounded yam n pepper soup for lunch so I decided to sleep d pains off only for me to wake up with excruciating pains 1hr later with heavy bleeding. It was as if I was dieing, couldn't stand, talk, sit, eat or lay down it was as if my tummy was been removed by force. I decided to take hot milk maybe it will help reduce the pain. 5minutes later blood clot started coming out and I knew my baby was going, I cried, prayed n begged my baby to stay but he didn't I went to d hospital the next day 2nd September and was told there is no baby in my womb again. I was in total shock cos didn't know what happened within 2hrs of leaving the hospital to d bleeding? I am still asking myself if it was d food I ate or d warm milk I took dat took my baby away? Or the scan dat was done or Wht could have happened? |
