Education › Re: ASUU Strike Not Ending Anytime Soon by flyingpig: 10:10am On Oct 09, 2020 |
sinkhole: My own opinion is that I can see the whole thing ending bad for poor youths of this country The strike is going to end but how? Either ASUU grudgingly go back to work or FG issued sack letters to all of them, whichever way, the former school will be better than the new school all of us will resume into. FG will not come to class to teach, it is the disgruntled lecturers that will still teach. If they employ new hands, the new hands will be inexperienced in both teaching and handling/relating with students. fantastic analysis |

2by40ft: 128billion is not supposed to be for them to pocket but use it for constituencies projects. Sometimes it's the responsibility of the people to make their representatives account for that money. People are to blame for cowardice or ignorance if they failed to do their part. There should be a sensitization towards the masses on this. Also the law must make it doable to prosecute any serving senator who misappropriates his constituency allocations. So that they can sit up and assist local governments to develop the grassroots Nigerian. |

beylinko02: I don't see anything actually bad in the Lecturers having agriculture as a side hustle.
The problem is the so called politicians not providing the enabling environment for it to thrive.
By the time those that are inline with agricultural Profession begin to practice crop production, animal husbandry, food processing as side investment, the issue of food scarcity will be a thing of the past. Will herdsmen insecurity allow them to farm? Govt has much to do to encourage agriculture. |
Politics › Re: Who Do You Think Is Behind The Onslaught Against Tinubu Political Dynasty? by flyingpig: 7:43am On Oct 09, 2020 |
WoundedLamb: If you want sincere opinions on your thread, don't take sides. Virtually every line up there tries really hard to present the subject either as victim being antagonized by malicious enemies (1 and 4) or a super intelligent entity/force that commands fear (2 and 3). Don't get me wrong, he could be all these but making your disposition known ahead will only create a "You vs them" kind of environment. Just saying.
Regarding the question, it is not new that people dig out your secrets once you indicate intentions to contest for a political position. Someone of his status definitely has a lot of enemies so I'm sure he was expecting it. However, there's always been one story or the other about him so it is hard telling if this is as a result of his perceived political interest or the usual slice of 'revelations' we get every now and then. Categorically suggesting the 'revelations' are just antics to pull him down is, to me, an aim to buy him some sympathy votes or admiration. That could work. Fantastic analysis |

There are countless reasons why child labor is prohibited and frowned upon all over the world, I'll list a few.
✓ It affects the child psychologically and mentally
✓He is still a child and his growth and development may be affected if he continues in such menial job.
✓If he continues doing this, at the age of 30 he would look 50. At old age, he would have several ailments to contend with. Don't believe me, go to the getriatics ward in any federal hospital. true |

Amotolongbo: I can remember vividly when Olusegun Obasanjo moved Okonjo-Iweala from Finance to Foreign Affairs then during the cabinet reshuffling, it looked like a demotion and like reducing Okonjo-Iweala’s status. We never knew it was a blessing in disguise and going to boost her CV chance in a world career pursuit. That reshuffling is actually helping her now. Her case would have been tougher without that position she held then. Even though it seemed as a demotion. Ma you don teey o And I'm crushing on you. |

He stole 10% of the state tax which is criminal but he ensured the 90% remainder is put to good use and that is why Lagos keeps developing everyday. SS and SE governors that don’t steal 10% of the state tax, we don’t see any development cause they steal 90% of the income not even tax.

olawalepopoola: After today's announcement by the President that only lecturers on IPPIS will continue to receive their monthly salaries, my question is how does this affect the State Universities that on strike with them? Why are the State Universities in solidarity that does not concern them. Why are they delaying students in the state Universities. What is your opinion? any state university that hasn't resumed is due to internal dispute with their state government and not ASUU strike. State universities are not under ASUU union. Once your governor orders state universities to resume they'll resume. |
