Business › Re: Did The 419 Business Reduce Unemployment In Nigeria? by fm7070: 12:04pm On Oct 11, 2011
This is an interesting and logical thread.
Ofcourse, it reduced unemployment, especially in Lagos and in Nigeria as a whole,
I know a guy who feeds his entire family from runs money.
Most of these 419 guys has also diversified into legitimate business, employing lots of people.
Do you know how many armed robbers we would be having on the street if not for this game?

However, I am not saying it is goodly good, but look at it from this perspective.
White men knew that the money our politician are bringing to their respective countries was stolen, yet they accept it. From the information I gathered, it was discovered that Switzerland government has not refunded majority of the money Abacha lodged in their banks because of their economic policies.

If I were to judge economically, I will say this 419 guys are bringing money into the system, even making money available for banks to give loans, etc. which at the end of the day, reduce unemployment.

How many companies did our politicians build in this country?
Family › Re: Why Cant African Relatives Mind Their Business? by fm7070: 11:52am On Oct 11, 2011
SNCOQ3:
Because Africans are communal by nature. It has its advantages though
Yes, but if care if not taken, the disadvantage is overtaking the advantages.

African men should take their nuclear family as the first priority and do not allow anyone whosoever (even your mother) to toy with their feelings. Once you set this high standard, every other person will stay clear.

I had an experience recently and this was what saved me and my nuclear family. When the extended folks (my mom inclusive) saw that I wasn't ready to joke with my family, they laid low, I know for sure, they won't try to mess with my wife anymore, never in their lives.

All parastatals this country are not safety conscious.
When accident occurs, they will start running from pillar to post. Then, the DG will start making all sorts of silly statements. Whereas, the accident is preventable.
Must we toy with people's life all the time??
The road is a mess, you still manage to board aircraft, not knowing that it is a bewitched witchcraft aircraft

Car Talk › Re: Why Do Most Nigerians Use Exotic Cars Yet Live In Poor Or Rented Houses? by fm7070: 3:15pm On Oct 10, 2011
people prefer to acquire liability rather than asset.
sometimes, they feel that cost of building house is too much and that they cannot afford it at that time, whereas, with focus, they can afford it if they set their priorities right.
Also, most of them always want to stay in the mainland & island.
With 4m, you will errect a good 5bedroom bungalow in places like Ota, Agbara Ifo, etc.
The worst part of it is that, by the time they will wake up from their slumbers, likes of children school fees, family problems, and other responsibilities wouldn'tt allow them.

@wallex2: i am of the strong opinion that any serious seller of a car(s) should upload as much photos of different angles of the car in question on the forum, for prospective buyers to have a first handed idea of what they are about to buy looks like, This indeed is not a bad idea!

Family › Re: Should I Dress In The Presence Of My Five Year Old Daughter by fm7070: 11:53am On Oct 03, 2011
@poster, just stop dressing before them,
1.  Teach them to close their eyes or excuse 'daddy & mummy' whenever they mistakenly uncover their 'Totoyo'
I started doing this to my 2year old son and by the time he was 3, he would tell you to cover your bre*st or 'Totoyo' if you mistakenly open it.

2.  Teach them that no one should play with their private parts.
2 year old children are not too small to be taught that. remember that whatever you inject into the brain of this children is what they carry through their life time.

3.  immorality is one major thing that can quickly destroy the life of anyone, be it boy or girl, man or woman.
The moment you inform them about the sacredness of their private parts, it will be so difficult for any stranger or anyone to play with it.

I learnt a song from my son,

What do you do to you do to your private part
I will, (i  no understand what the boy was saying here oooooo)
It belong to me, i want it secured
I will tell my daddy if you try to touch
What do you do to your private part
I will, (i  no understand what the boy was saying here oooooo). someone can help me there

Car Talk › Re: How To Get A Car Loan In Nigeria - A Complete Guide by fm7070: 9:16am On Sep 30, 2011
brainpulse:

What a poor man's mentality, be it liability ordebt, pray that God should give you money to buy one. When you have good money, liability wont even come to your mind when you want to buy one, and you will even buy with ease and even buy a house with it as well.
There is a prayer in my mother's language that; As i av come to this world if it is car they are riding, i will ride with them; if it is house they are building, i will build with them and if its to marry, i will join them to marry.
so dont continue to grow and curse yourself with that povety mentality.
@Brain Pulse, indeed your name is really reflecting your financial character.
How on earth can you advice someone to put money on liability, just because of pleasure and all that. No minding the fact that car sucks your blood if you don't have asset or cash flow to service it.
Buying a car is not the problem, but maintaining it.

Have you have considered the future of the people you're advising? If they lose their job today, what happens to them and their family? and even the liability (car) they've bought. They ended up selling it so cheap to service the debt. Or do you think banks will sympathise with you if you lose your job?

However, I am not condemning buying a car or getting a loan to buy a car, but what am saying is that: Build your asset first before getting liabilities.
In America, many people will die in debt, even their children will inherit their debt after working all days of their life. They want to live beyond their income just because of credit monster made available to them.

I will recommend this book to everyone: Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Read it and become rich from the Inside.

What about interest rate?
Car is a liability. not an asset.
That is where most Nigerians miss it and loom in poverty all their lives
