my2chains: yea thanks for your opinion,
anyways my current okro plants are 2 weeks now,
in a month or so will upload pictures of my first commercial harvest.
Its good to be good, but you really need to know this is lagos and everything vegetables sells,
just come and take a look in my area here to see prizes of vegetables,
you will keep on wondering is it not this same vegetable that i see everyday in the farm that is been sold this costly?
Although will upload more pics when the time comes
i never knew this yellow nsuka pepper is hot cake here in lagos
i stoped water leaf farming because of its low prize in market,
if every vegetable is to sell at 100 per piece then you will see that same size of water leaf for just 50 naira,
just to tell you its not that lucrative,
only to be added in the farm to help you generate money to be fuelling the generator and some other farm expenses!
Or else you can plant water leaf in a big acres of land or move down to akwa ibom to make a kill in it there!
cheers! More love bro, I understand your energy vibes. We will be alright laslas so far we are not idle Jah bless |

Op, truth need to be told. You can't see a reasonable investors to give you money to farm okro and this kind of vegetables you posted with.
Please invest more in yourself first and go into special farming that will convince people to invest with you.
Don't be a joker you don't need people money to farm okro, ewedu, soko and tete.
Most you collect money from people at this stage before you farm? |

Yampotatocarrot: Baba, come on na. If one calls for investors, there should be binding agreement. Investment in farming is just like any other kind of investment.
You won't put your money into a business without an agreement whether farming or any other, will you? this valid when you're dealing with Agro company and the farm will be insured too |

It's like slavery when you gave someone money to farm for you and you want to put him under law. He won't deliver, distraction will be much. |

ideepaul: Pls how is the shape and market acceptance of this kirokou F1 okro plant, and what makes them different from the local short okro variety and how much is the seed sold for? Sorry to bug you with all this questions, but how is the august-november sales like generally Similar to the local short ones but it's highly mucilage. #3000 for 50grams Raining season in your location will determine the glut. |

FarmTech: . If u ever have a stubborn pest/disease problem, consider spraying under the leaves. I've came across a research where farmers have to combine 5 pesticides at high doses just to control whiteflies. But the researcher just used 1 pesticide at the right dose. He sprayed both under and on top of the leaves and got the same result those farmers got. Please did you know the single pesticide used? |

Psalmy2cute: one of the majure issue I experienced with by plants is blocked drip emitterz.. do you know of any affordable filter you can recommend?? I'm currently getting my water from the river without filter.. and this I'd causing alot of damage both on my plants and driptapes you can use net to cover the hose |

Psalmy2cute: I'm thinking of doing tomatoes on the other side of my farm.. i used not more than 2 and half plot out of an acre.. pepper takes too much time for it to get to maturity.. I currently have nothing less than 1200 stand right now..
but I'm currently trying to add new stands on the farm.. to make up for the ones I lost May God help you |

EMMAACHILE: lol. I dont think you need to spray weekly maybe depending on the type of insecticides used. There are many systemic insecticides but some are stronger than others. In my experience using chemicals, the most efficient are often the most toxic like the chlorpyrifos which some called the alternative to Sarin gas ( a nerve agent). In combination with dimethoate, nothing will survive on the farm including snakes, scorpions. Baba forget, I've used chlorpyrifos including all this with higher doses but does pest are monster. I want to work on neem oil back

Psalmy2cute: aside the bad news.. a large number of my plants are bringing fort a good amount of food for their young age Good job. From all your expenses, did you think this your production is sustainable. You should have nothing less than 5000 crops in your farm so far it's 2000m emitter you bought. You need to be smart and have plan B in farming |

nxtEinsten: Please can I get answer to the following questions
1. Please, has anyone planted Sunny F1 pepper here before? 2. Please what the the recommended spacing for Forever F1 pepper and that of Sunny F1 pepper 3. What is the production like for Forever F1 pepper and Sunny F1. Also, like How many bags (size of bag indicated) should be expected per acre or number of crops. Thanks in summary, both variety are monster in production. Your care determine the yield. Scientifically, spacing is 60cm by 60cm and yield is 25 tonne per acre for hybrid chili pepper |

codeQue: Heyah, sorry. I must have been really lucky on my farm then. As @okoroemeka said he sprays weekly, i fight my workers when they suggest we spray, if we don't see any signs of insects i don't approve their spraying.
The things i'm seeing are really scaring me. you might be luck if that's first time of plant pepper in your farm. Nothing like lucky in Agriculture science |

what do you think?? my brother in vegetables farming, prevention his better than cure. Those seriously affected crops will have poor yield. This effect of whitefly infestation on my farm
