The third grandslam of the year starts today. The big three (perhaps four) in the men's game, look set to dominate the other players again. Will we have another Nadal - Federer final? Can Djokovic, Murray spoil the party? The other pretenders are Tsonga, Berdych, Soderling, Del Potro.

The women's game is still as unpredictable as it has been for sometime. The return of the Williams sisters sure adds to the glamour to the event, but can they reach the finals? Kim is ruled out with an ankle injury. Who else is there to talk about? Wozniacki? Li?

Who takes this year's title?

Not sure about that.

I think Murray's worry right now, is how to hold his serve. He is a break up in the third set.

Of cos, Djokovic won the second set 6-2, breaking Murray's serve to take the set.

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP)—Rafael Nadal and Caroline Wozniacki will carry top seedings into next week’s Australian Open, reflecting their No. 1 rankings in men’s and women’s tennis.

With seedings no longer done on organizers’ discretion but purely on rankings, nine-time Grand Slam winner Nadal was named Thursday as leading the men’s seedings from close rival Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Sweden’s Robin Soderling.

Wozniacki heads the women’s seedings from Vera Zvonareva, Kim Clijsters and Venus Williams.

Spain has three players among the top-10 men’s seeds: Nadal, David Ferrer at No. 7 and Fernando Verdasco at No. 9. Andy Murray of Britain comes in at No. 5 and Andy Roddick of the United States—one of four seeded Americans—at No. 8

Murray beat Soderling 6-2, 6-4. I didn't expect the match to be this one-sided.

In the other match, Federer is leading Ferrer 4-0 in the first set.

Anyways, I expect Murray and Federer to qualify from this group.
