halfricanadian:my dear which truth when there is no secret. Problem arise when the other partner discover the other has been keeping secrets. my question is why the secret in d first place. |
I know people will bash me but its allowed. I hve said my own |
it baffles me when i hear people especially ladies say i lock my phone because of my husband. Guys too lock their phones but should there be secrets in marriage? Husbands and wife took oath to love each other for better and for wosre so why should we have secrets. I read on nairaland where a guy lambasted another guy for going through the wifes phone. For goodness sake what is wrong with that. mugabe said people sleep together, touch each other private parts but when it comes certain issues you hear "its privat to me please respect my privacy" i think in marriage we should be open to each other, no secrets and nothing like its my privacy. I stand to be corrected that most problems in marriages are caused as a result of these secrets and privacy. A wife should be opened to her husband, likewise the husband. Marriage is sweet. |

Conversation between Grandma and her granddaughter. . Grandma: Akosua where are you going? Akosua: please am going to church. Grandma: Really? Please come and sit down and lets talk for a minute before you go. I think church has not began yet, has it? Akosua: no it hasn't. Grandma: the way you are dressed, in fact, you look very sexy. Akosua: thank you very much. Grandma: Hmmm, Akosua, i can see you love that complement. please tell me, do you need someone to have sex with you? Akosua: ooh noo. Grandma, why this question? Grandma: if you do not need someone to have sex with you then why do you dress sexy? Akosua: nothing grandma. I just want to... Grandma: Akosua, never feel proud or swollen headed when someone tells you that you look sexy. In fact, its a very bad compliment and even an insult. The intention of dressing sexy is to attract men. That's all. That's the reason why prostitutes dress this way. They dress this way because they want someone to have sex with them and pay them. They do everything possible to look sexy and attractive not to just one person but to the entire men in town. They expose their breasts, they wear things that with hold them tight and expose all the curves and even private parts of their body, just to look sexy and attractive to men so that they will have sex with them and give them money. Please Akosua are you also trying to look that way so that you will be attractive to men for sex? The reason why you are not getting a husband is this, the reason why men have sex with you and dump you is this. It's not me here using witchcraft against you. You are dressed like this going to church, the probability of bringing even the pastor down is very high. But remember that man shall fall but through him that the fall shall come should... I know you can you remember this scripture very well. Well, Akosua am done you can now go . Akosua : thank you very much Grandma. From today onwards i promise i will never dress to look sexy anymore i will rather dress to look beautiful. I never knew about this. Thank you very much. Grandma: You are welcome my dear. But are you not going to church anymore? Akosua: yes grandma, but am going in to change my cloth first. Grand mom: may God bless you for doing that. Share with a friend what you have reard today, maybe not everyone have someone to tell them this. Send it to all your friends. Akosua: Thank you Grand mom |

Tragedy struck on Friday night in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, when a huge rock shifted off its base and fell on a ‘room and parlour’ apartment at Oke Ola Street in Iberekodo crushing four members of a family. It killed Mrs. Silifat Lawal, her two daughters — 15-year-old Rasheedat and four-year-old Semia — and a grandchild, Sukurat.According to the deceased’s neighbours, they had had their dinner and went to bed earlier than usual as a result of torrential rain.“At about 9pm, a huge rock, which had been sitting a distance to the building for the past eight years, tumbled off its base, and rolled towards the apartment of the Lawals and crushed them to death,” he told our correspondent on condition of anonymity.Another neighbour to the deceased, Mrs. Khadijat Adegoke, who said the sound of the impact of the cascading rock was dwarfed by the heavy rain, said they (neighbours) got to know when late Silifat’s husband, Ismail Lawal, rushed out and shouted for help.According to her, neighbours rushed to the scene but could do nothing as the victims had already been crushed. She said, “The incident happened around 9pm. The rain was very heavy since 5pm. When the rock shifted and crushed them, we didn’t hear because of the sound of the rain.“The husband came out shouting. We rushed there only to find out that all the four of them had been crushed to death.“The husband was sleeping in the sitting room. That was why he escaped death with another daughter, Rafia.” |

The Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN), Federal Character Commission (FCC) and National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) have been ranked as the most transparent public institutions in the 2015 Freedom of Information compliance ranking. The ranking hinted by Public and Private Development Centre (PPDC) is aimed at ensuring procurement related information would be liberated and made as coherent as possible in a way that enables better efficiency in public service delivery.Disclosing this at the 2015 FOI ranking event held recently in Abuja, CEO, PPDC, Mrs. Seember Nyager, noted that ranking was done across 166 public institutions and 14 Security Sector Institutions in Nigeria and was based on levels of access to Procurement related information across these institutions.According to her, “The event is to commemorate the International Right to know Day and this is the 3rd annual FOI compliance ranking released by PPDC since 2013, with 67 institutions previously ranked in 2014 and 15 institutions ranked in 2013.”“In this year’s ranking, the Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC, Veterinary Council (VCN), Consumer Protection Council of Nigeria, Federal Character Commission of Nigeria and National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) were ranked as the most transparent whilst 70 public institutions including the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Defense Intelligence Agency were scored the least transparent.“Public institutions listed were ranked based on benchmarks for disclosure within the Nigerian Freedom of Information Act, 2011. The British Government has formally asked the Nigerian Government to assist it with its investigations into the activities of the formoer Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke when she held sway over the oil and gas sector between 2010 and 2015 and have requested details of transactions relating to the investigations in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and the National Petroleum Development Corporation (NPDC).The former minister was arrested by the British National Crime Agency (NCA) alongside four other people in London last Friday, but was granted bail after over five hours of questioning on Friday and Monday. It emerged yesterday that most of the investigations so far centre around gifts-in-kind allegedly received by the former minister especially in the payments for rental accommodation in a London Flat in St John's Wood area of London said to be occupied by the former minister, and several payments said to be for luxury cars while the then minister was in London by a number of oil traders who had contracts with Nigerian petroleum entities under her watch.NCA said investigations on the former minister were commenced in 2013 by the British authorities under the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) and transferred to it earlier this year.In furtherance of its investigation, sources close to the UK’s financial crimes bursting units informed THISDAY yesterday that the British authorities had formally requested for legal assistance of the Nigerian government to provide it with information on her bank statements, assets declaration, and other official records based on her activities while she was minister. This will be one of the first files before the next Attorney General expected to be appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari following senate confirmations of his ministerial list. The request is similar to one made by the British authorities in previous cases involving politically exposed persons and is often written to the AttorneyGeneral of The Federation who determines what information to pass on.Several sources further clarified that contrary to some media reports, the British authorities had not made a request to the Swiss Government for the arrest of Nigerian businessman, Mr. Kolawole Akanni Aluko.Aluko who is currently being investigated as an alleged accessory in the allegations of corruption and money laundering against the then minister is said to be cooperating with the investigations.A source close to the investigations explained the British police had already raided his “family office” in London where a search warrant was served and executed, following which, Aluko's lawyers made contact with the NCA investigating officers who said they would invite Mr. Aluko when needed. He is currently in Switzerland awaiting summons, the sources said.According to THISDAY checks, the law enforcement agencies were preoccupied with investigating two issues relating to Mrs. Alison-Madueke, Aluko and a London-based estate agent.“The first is that Mr. Aluko was alleged to have rented and is paying for her current residence in St John's Wood area of London.“The second is that he was alleged to have paid for several the executive luxury cars through Continental Services Ltd which she uses in the UK when she was the minister and luxury goods comprising expensive bags, clothes, jewelry and furniture, using his credit cards either directly or through others including Mr and Mrs Sunday. Joseph Mordi, a staff of NNPC in London, and his wife” one source said. The investigations continue. |
