A life absent of love or care can be hard to bear. Abandonment and negligence in a relationship or marriage would be detrimental to anybody. The question is why did you hang on? People have different reasons for hanging on to an abusive relationship. However, if you are staying to keep the peace or trusting God for a change some day, when you discover the unbelievable truth, it will become obvious that you need to assess your value and self-esteem. Tolerating abuse can rob you of your identity and you can lose your own personality in the process. I had reached the point of exhaustion, but thank God for the courage to move on against all the odds.

It is a great weight on your shoulders to live a false life with false impressions, possibly to get the praise and applause of people. I mean who do we impress with living a staged life for the world to see in public, but an entirely opposite life behind closed doors?

To love yourself you have to accept yourself for who you are, not claiming to be Mrs. Jones when you are Mrs. Brown or Mr Peter when you are Mr Paul. Be happy to be you and let others accept you for who you are.

I am not ashamed of saying I am going through a divorce and I have lived as a single mother for many years. I was never ashamed of it. Friends and family accept and appreciate me for who I am and they are very accepting of me as I am of them. Recognize you have value and you deserve to be treated with respect. You must first respect yourself to know when to walk away from people who make you miserable and stay with people who love, inspire and respect you. Feel beautiful without searching for peoples approval, appreciate yourself.


It is time to make something out of your experience, financial loss, the end of your job or end of a relationship, I might appear to have lost everything in one package but life goes on. I use this as an opportunity for growth, and self-discovery. To be put down by your parents in the past or a spouse should not control your future instead begin a life long venture of personal acceptance and self-love.

It is not a sin to love yourself, recognise you are God's natural given brilliance. The moment you love yourself, your self-esteem will grow in leaps and bounds. Fall in love with yourself and never stop working on the best you can be.

Glo has one of the worse customer service in the world.
I have been a victim several times, Glo is my main line since 2005 so forget that gist.
Glo cc drops call on you, they are arrogant and always tell you they don't have access to do something, imagine that.
They never refund when you have credit issue and many more.
Can you imagine after buying a N500 airtime that won't load, I call Glo for 30mins and after it connects the CC says I have to get to a gloworld outlet to load the card. It will take me N1000 to get to the closest outlet.
So I should spend N1000 to go load N500 card.
When I asked him if the people in the outlet don't use the same applications his answer was "I do not have that access".
I called several times and it was the same thing.
I had the same problem with my BB and I had to remove my sim from my bb and use an mtn sim. They keep telling me they don't have access, then I wondered what they a cc for.
I am still using the glo sim just for sentiments.

@OP and all, do you know there is MTN Customer Service thread here in Nairaland?
I am surprised most of you here don't know.
The CC Agent there, JideSM, is doing a great job.

He calls when necessary and helps resolve issues.
Also, the fastest and easiest way to get good customer service agents from MTN is through their Twitter handle @MTN180.
Just tweet at them and they will call you.

I don't subscribe for their data plans anymore....that's a rip-off.

You are obviously a novice. Airtel does not give you 2GB for 1500. That is their BlackBerry bundle. MTN BlackBerry gives you 3GB for 100 (the same 3GB on the 1000).
The only difference is that you can use Airtel's bb Android. (I heard they've blocked that too).
Airtel give you 200MB for 1000. All telecoms data are the same, the difference is those whose bb work on Android. Get your facts right before typing.
