First of all you may need basic training in a consulting firm before proceeding to any certification
I'm just a green horn, and just about starting a career in it. I've been searching online for where I can learn the skills, but it hasnt really yielded much.
Hence why I'm asking for recommendations of where to start from the very beginning

Hi guys,

I took my computer based test on Saturday Dec 10, got my results today.

I paid a week before the test because a school demanded the result after giving me admission, so I had one week to prepare. I did what I usually do when I need information urgently, visit Nairaland cheesy

I saw some links to prepare here but I focused on the study materials on the British IELTS site for TEST TAKERS, I did all the practice and test for 3 days, then I paid $5 on ieltsbuddy website and I practised the listening and reading tests only.

I also watched some youtube videos esps IELTS Liz cos she was mentioned on this thread. At the end, I couldn't prepare much because I work from 8am to 9pm daily and I get home tired.

I aced it on my first try. But I have to say that I am pretty good at using words and I have a blog so English doesn't scare me. I had issues with the speaking test because I am an introvert and talking for like 20 minutes non-stop was too much for me, but thankfully, I passed that too.

If anyone needs any help, I am here. And I appreciate everyone that dropped tips on this thread cos I saw what to expect and I realize that following the rules and reading instructions goes a long way.
Can you please share the links you got here

Truth is, you lack common sense.

I left Nigeria for Poland last 2 years with my wife immediately we got married and it was one of the best decisions we made. In so many ways, Poland is less better than Canada

Some of you are so fortunate that you complain about what others pray for. Remember someone is praying to have 1/10 of what you have right now.

You probably have the means to live your best life in Nigeria and find living in Canada hell.

I was earning 82K in Abuja after deduction, how would anyone survive on that with a wife and incoming babies?

A month after arriving in Poland I got a work from home job, that catered for me and my wife all through the pandemic and because I pay tax, my wife was listed under me as a dependent and all antenatal visits were free, tests conducted was free, delivery of the baby was also free including anaesthesia that was given when she went into labour all free. Infact she got the best care, way better than the best in Nigeria.

After delivery a Midwife called to inform us that she will be responsible for my wife's care till 6 months after delivery. For those 6 months, she visited the house every 2 weeks to check up on my wife and the baby and if she detected any issue, we were given referrals to consult a pediatrician or Gynaecologist. Till today, we don't pay for Healthcare except maybe one or two drugs that we maybe required to get on our own.

Aside the Healthcare which is better than the best we have in Nigeria, the government pays us an equivalent of 70K naira monthly to take care of our baby till he is 18 years and at the end of the year, we still file for tax refunds.

Our baby is currently enrolled in a daycare that is free of charge and we leave him there from 7AM-4PM so we can have some time to work and rest when need be.

Please please please, it is rosy for you does not mean it is like that for everyone. We are happy we moved.
What type of visa did you use to relocate with your family?

A medical report is valid for one year. So, do an upfront medical now since you are not pregnant yet. You might be unable to get an x-ray done if you are pregnant, which could delay your application.

He can invite you once he gets to Canada and starts studying. Proof of full-time enrolment in school and a study permit will be needed to apply.
Thanks so much

Hello people. I would be glad if I can get answer(s) to my questions

Hubby and I are still in the decision making process, but I would like to please have clarification in some areas.

I understand from the thread that it's better for a spouse to apply for the study visa alone and invite his/her partner when he or she gets there.

My questions are:

1) Would pregnancy hinder the chances of me getting a visa if hubby gets the ppr, then invites me over ?
If yes, would it be a wise decision to delay pregnancy because of this.. Please note that we already have a child, and just want to start trying for another one.

2) How soon can he invite me over from the moment he gets there?

Hello!
Polytechnics Mauritius is actually okay.i was in same shoe with you.
I applied for nursing, submitted my documents and they were about to start processing my visa when halted the processing.
Why?
I am married and I have a year old son.
They told me it's not allowed to come with any dependent. In fact, there is a woman in that same school that couldn't go with her child and husband, the last time I checked she was still trying to get her husband a Job in Mauritius so that he and their child can relocate.
I spoke to another Mauritian lady I met on another platform, she made enquiry for me and she said it's true that we can't go with dependent.

Flight fee is expensive and we wouldn't want to gamble with our money. Well, in our case, we got a better option. So, we forgo Mauritius.

Goodluck!
Please do you mind sharing the better option you got?

NemoDatQuod:
My take is that you should acknowledge that you are as much the problem as your wife. Your own contribution to your family challenges just manifests differently from hers. Why do I say so?

1. You allowed a series of concerns with your wife's actions to simmer overtime until it got out of hand and you felt so helpless that you resorted to beating her.

2. You called her father to apologize and you also reported her to her best friend. You are not married to her father and her best friend is not in a party relationship with both of you.

This marriage is a relationship between you and your wife and no one else. I think this is an opportunity for you two to sit down and do what you obviously failed to do before you got married.

Have a sit down with your wife. Apologize for raising your hands against her and let her know it is wrong, as no man should ever do that under any circumstance. When a man resorts to violence at home, it is evidence that he has failed to resolve a problem in the right way. There is no problem that cannot be resolved in a relationship. Tell your wife your expectations of her as a wife. Respect, loyalty, no recourse to anger and dirty words, etc. You need to think deeply about this and be clear. Also let her know your own responsibility towards her :Respect, taking her thought and feelings into consideration, not bringing others into your relationship, paying serious attention to her thoughts and views before you make decisions. Then give her an opportunity to set down her expectations of you as her husband and also set her own responsibilities towards you.

This conversation, which should be mutually very respectful, will help both of you determine if you should stay married. It may be that you are two individuals unsuitable for each other who simply jumped into marriage for whatever reason. You are fortunate that you have not yet brought a child into this toxic environment that you both created. It may be that one or both of you have serious anger management issues that require professional intervention. But you will both know what you are doing together. You should both be courageous enough to also discuss if it is time you pack it up. How on earth can an arrangement that was made to make each of you to be happier together than you will be if you stay single, lead to such an adversarial relationship?

Get your act together. Don't wait until you are so provoked that you kill or harm your wife before you come to regrets. One or both of you deciding to walk away from the relationship is an option to resolving your problem. But you've got to first explore the alternative of setting out your expectations and hopes for the relationship.

Phones / The Fraudulent Company Called Raya Care by folash: 12:05pm On Jun 04, 2022
I bought a redmi note 10 pro from one of the retail phone outlets sometimes last year.

Few months into using the phone, I started having issues with it.

First the front camera stopped working, then the audio too went bad. I couldn't make or receive calls with it, record a video or play music.

I decided to take it to Raya since it was still under warranty. On getting to Raya, they told me it was going to be fixed within four working days, and I had to drop the phone with them.

Four days turned into weeks, and weeks into months.

I called them after a month of not getting a feedback from them as regards the phone, and I was told to bring the pack and accessories to enable me get a refund which I did.

It's been over a month since I was told I was going to get a refund, and over two months since the phone has been with them, and I haven't gotten the said refund.

I've been to their office in Ikeja where I dropped the pack, called their customer care, made series of posts in their Facebook group, and still nothing. I've just been tossed back and forth..

My patience has waned thin at this point, hence my reason for making this post.

Going through their Facebook group, one can see that my case is not in isolation, as someone was also complaining of not getting his money for a refund that has been booked for since January, amongst so many others.

What kind of a company takes over 4 months to make a refund, and keeps quiet about it. If that's not a fraudulent act, then I don't know what is.

Attached below are screenshots of some people with the same complain

I know most of these phone companies have their staff on nairaland, and hopefully one of them gets to see this and do the needful...

Lalasticlala I would be glad if this can be pushed to the front page

a year now, no they cant change the phone, they can only work on the board or get a new board. so give them that time they request, since is a year, but if is just few weeks, you would have disturbed. so just be patient and always remind them with mails and calls, otherwise they will just abandon it once place. also do constantly tag the branch on there social media handle, that will quicken the repair of the phone
Okay thanks so much.

Lately, heard alot of negative reporst about raya, as long as the phone is under warranty and it has not been long you got it, they suppose to change the device and return it back to redmi company. unless you dont have the phone accessories again and is already old. i might be wrong though
The phone is actually almost a year old, but still under warranty. I have all the accessories intact; carton, charger, and every other thing that came with the phone.
Do you think they can still change a phone that's almost a year old?
