I use an Itel P13 to transcribe 512mb Ram(that's half the usual Ram size) 3G phone with an Airtel 4G sim. It works really well for transcribing with no hitch at all. But I will advise to get a Laptop with that money even if it's kekere mini laptop connect with WiFi to your phone. You will be faster on a laptop and you will do more hours, easily use shortcuts. The experience is stress free. buy a plastic table and chair and sit with your laptop and work.

Tnx but i think I'd like to start small 4 now. I prefer rushing to buy phone than to regret buying a laptop that'll b useless later on. My friend bought a 2nd hand laptop a while ago and that laptop shocks pple whenever it's being charged. D ba3 doesnt last up to 2hrs so it's practically useless. I'll still get d lappy later o cos i also believe working on it will be more efficient than using phone but 4 now i'm going to start with it. Thanks sha

My phone has 4G option. But most of the time, I put it on 3G and it is more than enough to get my job done.
I joined QA last week. I've been transcribing with my phone and doing very well.

pls this Q is directed to d pple using phones to transcribe. Can 3g network do d job hitchfree or 4g lte is necessary cos i av some cash with me but it cant be enough to get a 4g lte phone and i'd like to start this asap. So should i still hold on to d money or buy d phone?

Don't know if this will b helpful to u but once ur stable check out 'self employment opportunity transcribing 4 a living'. Dont knw how 2 share d link on this small phone. It's abt transcribing on one plat4m like dat. According 2 what i read there it can b quite challenging when ure just starting out but u will reap d rewards soon enough. One guy there even earned like 120$ just last week that's like 166k a month cos d plat4m pay their transcriber wkly. But since ur a student u cant do it fulltime and u'll knw hw to mange ur time. Also check other sites u can write and get paid. The guys there are really helpful but u have to read the 1st 20 pages or so. I've been following that thread since but couldnt start because of some reasons. planning to start january sha. hope this helps

Gud evening pple. Pls i need candid opinion and advice. I want to start one internet gig like that. Legit tho mind u but it's like android dey fight me. Eventually God intervened and wants to settle our score with 20- 28k make i use d 2k remaining sub. I searched thru d web and screened out some phones leaving me with some finalists.
Top contenders
1: Nokia 2.2- relatively new, from a trusted brand, supports 4g
2: Nokia 2.1- not so new but pple have attested to its durability, also support 4g and cheaper
My question abt these 2 is that which one of them has faster internet connection

1: Umidigi A3: Honestly this 1 has all what I'm looking for- 2gb ram for faster app switching, 4g lte, somewhat ok ba3 and finally f**king pocket friendly. But this particular umidigi is making me scared of burning my money gidi gan
2: Tecno pouvoir 3 air: somewhat reputable in nigeria, big ba3 being d focal point
3: Itel s15: fyn phone saw it somewhere dat it has 71k+ antutu score dont know how true it is tho. d pro sha...i dont knw how i feel abt spending 29k on an itel phone.
Pls suggestion are welcome but not 'add 5k but this phone' or 'add 10k buy my samsung so so' not because i dont value u pple's opinion but bcuz that 30k is after stretching myself thin. na december i wan buy am sef. pls emphasis on fast internet connection. Oh i plan 2 use airtel

u see tinz are not as black and white as some pple here might think. Though scammers and those with beggers mentality have made pple bcome jaded but even at that i dont think its proper castigating pple like that. U dont knw what made him come to this public forum and ask 4 help. Though he should av offered to give something in return but what do i know.

Pls pple try to remember this thread is all abt reciprocating the love God has for us even with us not deserving that love to others. I'm not advocating for him or anybody i'm just saying sometimes circumstances might make pple stoop so lower than they believe possible. Shalom

After seeing what dat fool said about the people looking for 15k jobs not being able transcribe, i knew i would av slapped him if he had been beside me. How can some1 over 10yrs spout nonsense like that? I started reading this thread 4rm page 1 and people av more than affirmed that it's always difficult at the beginning and i would av started since had i had an android or a laptop. Does dat mean i can't transcribe? heck no. It means times are hard and those that av d priviledge of making even 20$ per week would be thankful 4 it. Where did he even come from shouting transcribeme all about? He should go and pass their test and leave people to do their work in peace. ungrateful fellow
