Short story about the Hire//VAs sale
I picked the domain name from ED few months ago. I submitted it to SquadHelp but it was rejected. I now listed it on Dan for 900 bucks. Just recently, I decided to even check the related business that might be interested in taking the domain name. So I got few companies and I did the outreach. The first reply was negative and the second company asked for the price. Before I could reply the second company, a lot of thoughts were already on my mind. One mind was telling me to give him blank check, one was telling me to tell him 10k, another was telling me 5k and the last thought 1k, I know that was from the poverty mentality. So I summoned courage and told him 5k and he bought it that same day.

After that sale, I discovered that some companies are using Virtual Employees so I registered Hire//VEs and I did the outbound but nobody replied. I later pitched it to the previous man and he lectured me that VEs is not a powerful keyword unlike VAs, but he said he would take it for 100 bucks and he did just that.

Although I'm still a newbie here, but let's try and be giving our domains better prices like our colleagues in tier 1 countries. If it's a very powerful domain, good number of these end users would be happy to buy.

So you still go searching for domains that you are not ready to buy at once. Now they have stolen your domain name. This is an object lesson for all of us!

For this particular issue, what I do is I type the url in chrome or whatever browser I use, and if it IMMEDIATELY brings "This url cannot be found" or something of that sort, chances are it's available. If it hesitates a little bit before showing that, then it's most likely taken. Works most of time, not all o.

Domaining as I see it, is GOD GRACE, And it remains GOD GRACE.

Domains don't sell just because it's a big or population densed city.

I have many Dallas beautiful domain names that are still unsold same with Miami.

Someone mentioned Philadelphia as a stingy city, but I have made recent sales from that city.

I have even sold domains recently from places I don't even know where they are and not sure of their population.

And can share more evidences if need be, in short I can write a thesis, to prove that investing and sales of Goe Domains is mainly and purely GOD GRACE.

While I'm just a baby in this journey (4+ months), I'm fairly sure it would be easier to sell Miami// Chiropractic than Burnsville// Chiropractic (Which I own by the way, if you have a buyer).

Add Chicago too cuz it's a big city. Nyc too, if it's strong keyword but that one's tricky because those people are hard a$$es. I got my series of f**k offs from there. All in all, domaining is a nice boringly interesting career that needs thorough research and gives nice surprises along the way.

Tell me something I don't know. Although, some cities are really generous. A little push and they go for it, even if it's a five-worder.

I try to stick with number 2 rule as much as possible now, with some impulse buys in-between. But most importantly, I stay far away from stingy cities.

One I've noticed in particular is DC. As popular as it is, I never register a name in DC unless it's a two-worder like plumbing or wedding. I don't know if it's only me but I never have any luck with that city. The only sale I made was for $125 and the enduser took three weeks to pay that.
I even have one domain that the daily view is great, they open the emails I sent them from time to time, but nothing from them, almost as if they're waiting for it to expire, which I've decided to renew when the time comes just to spite them.

Everything you said just supported my argument. They had people who weren't their relatives recognize their potential and believed in them. Nigerian companies work you to the bone and seize your money if they see you're leaving to start something new. I'm not disputing the fact that rich kids will always have an edge, but I'm also not supporting that struggling kids can't make it if they try hard enough. I seriously disagree with this. Blame it on the rubbish country we're living. Most of the people that I know that are sponsoring themselves in school are most of the time time always topping their class. One even graduated as best student in OAU with 4.89 GPA. It's just that our country doesn't recognize talents and sponsor those talents. And as for rich billionaires, google is your friend. Oprah Winfrey, Starbucks CEO, Oracle CEO, Ralph Lauren etc
