Actually in most armies, soldiers complain that generals are hiding while soldiers are dying. Seeing generals regularly face the same fate as soldiers shows the generals aren't hiding. In my book that doesn't destroy moral, but the opposite. Where it sucks is the know how of the generals which is being lost.

I didn't look at it from that angle, and it makes perfect sense. They know they're all in it together.

So he launched Oct 7 without explicit blessings , hoping the other militia and Iran would immediately join to annihilate Israel.

He didn't wait for the order from Iran. In other words Hamas got greedy and jumped the gun. He called the operation Al Aqsa flood. Al Aqsa is Jerusalem, Jihadist hordes would flood the Jewish capital and finish off what their Arab brothers had failed to do since 1948.
