As for the 'poverty capital' tab, it is based on the NUMBER of people in a country living in extreme poverty, and has NOTHING to do with 'percentages'.

INDIA now has 83 million in extreme poverty, while Nigeria has 70 million, down from the previous 87 million, meaning INDIA is the 'poverty capital of the world' today.

There are many countries in Africa with 50, 60, 70% extreme poverty rates, eg Niger Republic, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone etc, so by WHATEVER criteria you use, Nigeria is NOT the world's 'poverty capital' today.
