ken3000000: Pikshurzz or I don Blive it!!!there is still available buses going to konduga. Just board one travel there and get a live experience. Safe journey and say me hi to shekau |
darlingtonNYIG: Kudos to the military and please don't treat any commander of boko haram because he isn't gonna give any credible information about the sect. But wait sef, wetin even de that Konduga of a town that this boko boys want to capture by all meanskonduga is just a town ahead of maiduguri the state capital. If the BH guys capture it, they are stone throw from maiduguri and the university of maiduguri is towards that end.the boko guys plan to capture the school nd make it their base in maiduguri. So the army will have to fight to finish to make sure that the BH guys do not capture konduga. Kudos to our military |
gebest: FG is paying them 50 thousand naira, what they are fighting for is d ones from their primary assignment by the military, they should ve managed, is not good for health worker to go on strike, only in naija.Excuse me. What did you study in school? They are entitled to their benefits.i served with the guards brigade in abuja during my nysc days.we were paid monthly by the Army apart from the decent accommodation given to us.we also had the privilege of attending mess activities if u know what I mean. This is pure injustice |
o42austino: what is wrong with our Generals? The Boko boys have made them clueless |
Collynzo17: APC plebs are confused.A very huge and overwhelming crowed. Reporting live from the venue. |

North central mega rally holding today in minna Niger state. This just happen with high profile dignitaries falling down.is this the beginning of the fall of the high and mighty? In fact the kind of crowd here at the venue, is quite impressive. Hired crowd? I am very sure APC members ll be gitering. The TAN guys really got enough financial muscles. I am not sure any party can flex this kind of financial strength. |
Ucheosefoh: The problem with this country is that we don't reward patriotism instead we celebrate corruption and make some people feel that they are above the law. The day we start rewarding people that render selfless service to the nation that is the day things will start getting better for us, imagine working for eight months without pay while somebody is sitting on top of their salaries feeling big when they (doctors) protest they were force out of their apartment. I smh for this countryIt's a terrible situation. I feel so sad.i know how I feel most times wen my employer delay my one month salary, not to talk of eight months.that one naa die o. |
Moderator send this to front page o.this young doctors need to get their pay for services rendered. Enough of this injustice. |
The incident occurred a day after medical interns in the Nigerian military hospitals embarked on an indefinite strike over the non-payment of their eight months salaries. Our correspondent, who was at the scene, observed that some of the interns were not allowed to take out their belongings before soldiers locked up their apartments. One of them, Dr. Jinadu, who spoke with Saturday PUNCH, said that they had been suffering from inhumane treatment by the various military commands in the country and had no option than to embark on strike. He said, “All of us who are serving with the 68 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Yaba, have been chased out of our apartments. They gave us short notice and we could not even pack our belongings before the doors were locked. Some of us were having our rest when the soldiers opened our doors and chased us out. “Some of us are not staying in Lagos and we do not have where to stay. Where should we go to? Because we decided to ask for our salaries, they decided to chase us out. We had no grouse with the hospital or with the management, we are not happy that we are not at work. But for how long will it be that we have been working for eight months and we are not being paid? “These are the issues, we are illegally evicted. The soldiers that came to evict us said they were directed to do so by the Director of the 68 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Major General Nkado. They have sealed our property inside. They even nearly burgled us out by force; they said our services are no longer needed after eight months of working. It was the ministry of defence that posted us here. We are 55 in this place. “But we believe they do not have the right to disengage us from service. We want to finish our internship but we also want to be paid. We are suffering a lot. We are not settled here. The patients in the hospital want us to come back.” When our correspondent called Maj.-Gen. Nkado for his reaction, he replied with a text that he could not talk then and that a text should be sent to him. However, he did not respond to the issue as of the time of Going to press.
