Beside Nigerian employers are not good at paying salaries as at when due, so somebody can't be waiting for salaries before he pay landlord, the person will be evicted in no time..

What they should be doing is making sure that house rent are cheaper and affordable

For those of you supporting this rubbish, I hope you don't complain when the hen comes home to roost. They have started with Govt. Warehouses and have move to stealing people's goods in truck, goods either bought on credit or someone's hard earn money and you're laughing about it and making a joke of it saying it is hunger. I hope when they start breaking into your shops and homes you will still understand it's hunger? We were in South South when Militancy started and they were kidnapping the white expatriate people laughed it off and said it's just the white, they don't kidnap black people because they are our sons, the white began to go back to their country and when there where no more whites to kidnap they started kidnapping their so called black brothers who worked in oil companies, people still laughed it off that they only kidnap oil workers, when oil companies began to leave they started kidnapping rich men, people started saying they only kidnap rich people, today everyone is a target weather rich or poor nobody is spared. I can't count the number of men I've ran away from because of traces of anger issues I saw in them.

Israel's military has launched the 'heaviest 24 hours' of bombing since the Israel-Hamas conflict began two weeks ago, with media sources in Gaza saying 400 Palestinians were killed in the strikes.





Israel bombarded residential areas in Gaza including the densely populated Jabalia refugee camp and locations close to Gaza’s Al-Shifa and Al-Quds hospitals.





Israel also intensified raids in the occupied West Bank overnight, with two Palestinians killed during a raid on Nablus.





Israel's Rear Admiral Hagari confirmed on Sunday night that one soldier was killed and three others wounded during the failed bid to rescue hostages in the Khan Younis area of Gaza.





The raid was launched as part of efforts to rescue the more than 200 hostages abducted in the October 7 Hamas attack, which also saw more than 1,400 people killed in Israel by gunmen from the terrorist group.





A report from Gazan news sources said that more than 400 people had been killed in Israeli air strikes in the last 24 hours, which Palestinian media described as the 'heaviest bombardment' since the October 7 Hamas attack





Gaza's Health Ministry said 266 Palestinians, including 117 children, had been killed by Israeli air strikes in the past 24 hours in the enclave, to which Israel laid 'total siege' after the deadly mass infiltration into Israel by Hamas gunmen.





Health authorities in Gaza say at least 4,600 people have been killed in total, with over a million of the densely populated enclave's 2.3 million people displaced.





Earlier, Hamas said it had fought with Israeli forces near Khan Younis in southern Gaza, destroying a tank and two bulldozers in the battle.





The IDF later confirmed the death of the soldier and injuries to three more, saying the casualties were caused by an anti-tank missile.





'An IDF (Israel Defense Forces) soldier was killed, one was moderately injured, and two were lightly injured as a result of an anti-tank missile launched toward an IDF tank and an engineering vehicle,' the military said.

South African man sentenced to life imprisonment for killing his mother and chopping her body into pieces

The High Court of South Africa: Free State Division has sentenced 31-year-old Teboho Abram Mokoena to life imprisonment for killing his mother, Modiehi Anna Khodumo (65), and dismembering her body.


The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson, Free State Division, Phaladi Shuping, in a statement on Monday, October 23, 2023, said Judge Joseph Mhlambi also slapped Mokoena with a 5-year imprisonment for stabbing his father, Motsumi Joseph Mokoena, with a knife several times when he tried to reprimand him.


Mokoena was further handed 12 months imprisonment for malicious damage to property.


On 07 June 2022, Motsumi Mokoena went to the deceased’s house looking for her and found the accused in the garage packing the remains of his mother in a plastic bag. When he tried to enquire about what was happening, the accused stabbed him several times.


The police were called to the house, and they made a gruesome discovery when they found a grinder as well as human remains which had been cut into pieces in the garage. It was believed that the deceased was killed between 05 – 07 June 2022.


The accused had a tumultuous relationship with his parents because of his alleged use of drugs and demanding money from her.


In aggravation, the State Prosecutor, Advocate Nono Mkhabela presented three victim impact statements (VIS) to the court. The VIS were from the daug
hter, brother, and ex-husband of the deceased.

The daughter stated that she could not perform at university and had to repeat a semester because of the incident and the ex-husband said that his son took away the most innocent soul who was not only a pillar of strength to the family but to the community.


Mkhabela told the court that the accused was convicted of three serious offences that are prevalent, not only in the province, but in the entire country and a common denominator of the offences is that they all have the element of violence.


She further submitted that the accused did not show any remorse for his actions, and he was clearly motivated by selfishness, a sense of entitlement and greed and the court must not deviate from the minimum sentence prescribed by the law which will also send a message to would-be killers that the courts will deal with them harshly if they commit such crimes.
