The Federal University of Technology Student Akure killed a big Python around the university senate building yesterday night.

The university is currently in their examination period, therefore number of students who enters the university AF night is equivalent to number of students who enters the university during the day.

One of the student spotted the big snake, he blew the whistles and the students who resides at the university hostel not far from the senate building came out en mass and killed the snake. This was around 10pm-11pm yesterday night.

The Federal University of Technology Akure final year students are currently doing their final year week. The week will usher them to their final exam. They all came out to represent their alma matter.

Ijaiye road Ogba has been flooded. This is due to the heavy rainfall which happened over the night, as the movement on the road has been dilapidated. The movement of vehicles, tricycle, bicycle, bike as well as people plying the road has reduced due to the heavy rain fall.

This is one of the important road in Lagos state. The road links Berger to Ogba to Agege to Ikeja.
This road is known to be water lodged whenever rainfalls, and it has been in that state for years. The filling station at that junction (mobile) is also flooded.

Former MFM of Lagos forward, Stephen Odey, was Thursday unveiled by Belgian Division A side, KRC Genk, after completing a €3.5m transfer from FC Zurich, and penning 4 years contract.

Odey was presented to the club’s supporters and media after impressing in a trial game on Wednesday against Begel.

He scored a brace in the match to convince the hierarchy of the club that he has come to solve their goal scoring problem.


Odey joined FC Zurich in 2017 from MFM FC. He made 45 appearances for the Swiss club, scoring 12 times in all completions.


His first match for Nigeria was a 2018 African Nations Championship qualifier against Benin Republic on August 13 2017 in Cotonou which the home-based Super Eagles lost 1–0. Odey featured in the match as a substitute.

Odey now makes the long list of Nigerian players to have played for KRC Genk, namely; Blessing Kaku, Sunday Oliseh, Kim Ojo, Kennedy Nwanaga, and Wilfred Ndidi.

Steven came to lime light after representing his Secondary school Dairy farm Secondary School in Agege, helping them win the GTB Lagos state principal cup. He then secure a long seasonal loan to MFM fc where he help the Team promote to NFL and help the team avoid relegation in their first spell in the Nigeria league.

His second season saw him top the highest goal scorer chat before he secure a £400k move to FC Zurich of Switzerland. We he spent 2 seasons.

Two futa student identified as Esang Arit Harriet of the department of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering 500level (fresh graduate) and Micheal of Animal Production and Health 300level were involved in an accident that happened along Akure Ilesha express road. Harriet just finished her project defense on Wednesday, and she was heading to ilesha to meet her family died in an accident that claims the life of 25 others.

The news reaching us that the accident was caused by the police officers who collect bribes at the check points and the flew immediately the accident happened. It was The FRSC and Civil denfense that later came to the scene.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

The Federal University of Technology, Akure, Computer-Based Post-UTME screening exercise for admission into ALL COURSES/PROGRAMMES for the 2018/2019 Academic session will commence on Monday, 6th and end on Thursday, 9th August, 2018.

REGISTRATION: WEDNESDAY, 11TH JULY TO TUESDAY, 31ST JULY, 2018.

ELIGIBILITY: Candidates who scored a minimum of 180 in the 2018/2019 UTME conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and Direct Entry (DE) candidates who made the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) their First Choice Institution are eligible for the screening. In addition, each candidate must possess at least five (5) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two (2) sittings. Candidates who do not participate in the Post-UTME screening will not be considered for admission. FUTA will not consider candidates with “Awaiting Results”. Candidates MUST have at least a pass in physics to qualify for admission into any programme in FUTA

SCREENING FEE: is N2, 000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) only payable at any bank on e-Tranzact platform only.

METHOD OF APPLICATION: Candidates are required to:
i. Visit the University website (www.futa.edu.ng) for information
ii. Complete and submit the University Post-UTME Application form online; and
iii. Print out a copy.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE: The Registration Form is mandatory for all eligible candidates to complete for the screening exercise. Please note that the candidate’s UTME Registration Number and the Full Names (as it is on JAMB Slip) be correctly provided at the point of payment and registration.

After payment, each candidate should visit the University’s website (www.futa.edu.ng) and complete an online Registration Form. The completed Form should be printed for the candidate’s use.

I’m the public relations officer of Futa students union. She was coming from a meeting in church MFM CF, at night not coming from a vigil. She was about to make a turn to Alger street before she was knocked down by an unknown car.
She’s a first class student with the CGP of 4.82.

She was burried in Akure by the school officials, students and her father was also present. The father doesn’t want to take her corps to Ibadan, he insisted she should be burried in Akure and preparation was made by the university.

Ifejuwura Olajide was loved by all, gentle, kind and respectful.

Met her soul rest in perfect peace.

Stephen Odey, Typical Agege boy, hustler, my secondary school mate back den in Yewa junior high school, he only come to skul to play ball (set) to the extent that he played Lagos state Principal Cup, was the named the best player and the highest goal scorer.
