In today's society, many young men ponder: Can you marry a woman with kids if you're childless? Absolutely, if love, commitment, and readiness to embrace a blended family exist. It's about mutual respect, shared values, and building a future together, not past baggage. True connection transcends circumstances.

When it comes to tears, these legends have taken crying to an Olympic level. From dramatic wails to silent heartbreak, each one deserves a standing ovation. But if we could only crown one… who’s taking home the ‘Best Cry’ award?

Marriage can be smoother when couples have a clear understanding of their expectations and the realities of cohabitation beforehand. It’s a double-edged sword: on one hand, this awareness fosters a healthy foundation; on the other, it risks rushing into assumptions before fully experiencing the relationship. |
Moving in with a partner is a big step that can bring excitement and challenges. Before young adults decide to cohabit before marriage, reflecting on key questions can help ensure a smoother transition and stronger relationship. Here’s a guide to spark thoughtful discussions: Key Questions to Consider * Are we aligned on our reasons for living together? Discuss whether cohabitation is for convenience, financial reasons, or a step toward a shared future. Misaligned intentions can lead to misunderstandings. * How will we manage finances? Consider how you’ll split rent, utilities, groceries, or other expenses. Will you have a joint account, keep things separate, or a mix of both? *What are our expectations for household responsibilities? Talk about who handles chores like cooking, cleaning, or grocery shopping. Clear agreements prevent resentment over uneven workloads. * How will we resolve conflicts? Living together can amplify disagreements. Discuss how you’ll address conflicts, respect personal space, and maintain healthy communication. * Do we share similar lifestyle habits? Reflect on daily routines, sleep schedules, or social preferences (e.g., hosting guests). Compatibility in lifestyle can ease cohabitation. * What are our boundaries for personal space and time? Decide how you’ll balance togetherness with independence, ensuring both partners feel comfortable and respected. * How do we view this step in our relationship? Is cohabitation a trial run, a long-term commitment, or something else? Clarify whether you both see it as a path to marriage or another goal. * Are we prepared for potential legal or social implications? Research local laws about cohabitation (e.g., property rights) and consider how family or friends might react to your decision. * What happens if we break up? Plan for the possibility of separation, including who keeps the lease, how to divide shared items, or handling pets. * Are we ready to deepen our emotional commitment? Cohabitation often intensifies emotional bonds. Reflect on whether you’re both ready for this level of closeness and vulnerability. Taking time to discuss these questions can build a foundation of trust and clarity. Open conversations help young adults align expectations, reduce surprises, and create a shared vision for living together. What’s one question you’d add to this list?.

There’s a silent commandment in many African homes “Thou shalt eat rice on Sundays.” But... why? What’s the origin of this sacred tradition, and why is it so hard to escape? Let’s unpack the farce: Is It Biblical? No. Is It Cultural? Absolutely. Sunday Rice isn’t in the scriptures, but in Nigerian culture (and much of West Africa), it’s almost like a ritual. Church + Rice = Sunday Done Right. Poverty Dressed in Prestige? Back in the day, rice was a luxury. Eating it once a week meant “we’re doing well.” So Sunday rice wasn’t just food,it was a status symbol. Mama’s Best, Every Week Sunday rice isn’t just rice. It’s jollof, fried, or white rice, served with stew, fried plantain, and maybe chicken (if budget allows). It’s a love letter from mum’s kitchen. The Real Farce? You Can’t Escape It Even if you don’t go to church. Even if you swore to eat yam. Sunday comes... and somehow, rice appears. From neighbors. From roommates. From your own subconscious. So, Is Sunday Rice a Farce? It’s a bit dramatic, yes. But it’s also tradition, comfort, memory, and love all served on one plate. Let’s not pretend we don’t like it. Even Gen Zs who roll their eyes… still show up when they smell stew. |
Gen Z & Religion: What's Really Going On? Gen Z is the most connected generation yet spiritually, many feel disconnected. More and more young people are saying: "I’m not religious." But why? Let’s unpack it ; 1. Church Hurt & Hypocrisy Gen Z questions what doesn’t align. When leaders preach love but practice judgment, they bounce. They're not leaving God,they're leaving the noise. 2. Information Overload Gen Z grew up Googling everything. They’ve seen different beliefs side-by-side and they ask deeper questions. Blind faith doesn’t work for a generation raised to research. 3. Mental Health Matters They care about emotional safety. If a religious space triggers shame more than healing, they won’t stay. They want faith that listens, not just lectures. 4. Authenticity Over Tradition Gen Z doesn’t care about appearances, they crave realness. If faith feels scripted or outdated, they’d rather pass. 5. Spiritual but Not Religious Many aren’t atheist, they just don’t vibe with the labels. They pray. They believe. But they want a personal relationship, not just performance. So is Gen Z faithless? No. They’re just tired of performative religion. They’re seeking real connection with God, with meaning, with truth. Maybe the church doesn’t need to be louder. Maybe it needs to be more honest. More human. More healing. What’s your take? Is Gen Z really unreligious or just reshaping what faith looks like?

I cannot fathom why some individuals abuse corpses all in the name of celebration or paying final respect to the dead. Burial ceremonies (expected to be solemn) are fast becoming an excuse to throw parties.

with our current reality, I would advise him always to strive to make an informed decision. while I totally agree with the subsidy removal, I wish he allowed himself enough time to devise an appropriate means of alleviating the accompanying hardship.

Right! To be frank, I had it on repeat... even when I was asleep |
So my portable Bluetooth speaker somehow became bad months ago. I had to spank it intermittently to steady the sound. After a while, I got tired and stopped using it for months. During a clean-up, I picked it up to dispose of it amongst other unnecessary items... just while I was about to, I decided to give it a trial before trashing it so that I'd erase all doubt. To my amazement, the speaker had its vibe back. it was then that I realized that I have had the same scenario with other electronic gadgets. what's your story? |

While gridlock around this area of the state is common to commuters who use this route on a daily, this particular traffic takes the lead. The curse of this Gridlock is unsure but it is safe to assume that it is due to the ongoing rehabilitation work by @berger. If this is your route to berger, opic, warwa, arepo, magboro, ibafo, aseese and mowe...braze up for the longest evening yet.

I just wish my comrades here will really take time out to watch and understand what our former president is saying. he has touched on critical matters that bother and still threatens the shabby democracy we practice. but countrymen here are even more interested in doing fair damage to the system by encouraging actors and culprits. shame on us. I hate how we think. |
