I had an HSG that said both my tubes were blocked. Yesterday I was admitted into the hospital to have a laproscopy and tubal repair; however, when I went to do the blood work right before they wheeled me into the OR, the surgeons were stopped and ordered not to continue preparation for my surgery because I was pregnant. You tell me how I can be pregnant if an HSG said that both my tubes were blocked. God is good. Do just listen to whatever the doctor says, get a second opinion, because HSG can be misleading.

I'm starting this year with a renewed mind and energy to conquer this TTC wahala.
I took the second step yesterday by changing my hospital and Doctor. I have now
taken charge of my fertility issues fully. This new Doctor suggested that i may have
to undergo another HSG because the last one i did was in April last year. Last week i
had gone to make inquiries for tubal flushing, I realize that not all Gynaes approve of
the procedure. Now, I'm wondering if i should go for it anyways even though this new
Gynae says he's not in support of it. Ive been on Serrapep and others for a while now
so I'm desperate to know if the tubes are open yet but that HSG dey pain sha.

Do you think taking antibiotics for that long would help my hustle? I heard about
the Boric acid suppository but i haven't tried it out.

sry, i meant castor oil, you still didnt state how long you took the serrap, had blocked tubes report/inconclusive,,, took serrap for less than a month+castor oil massage, n went for flushing, wch opened at first attempt.

if you have been taking it for more than 2months..i believe you can go for flushing now...the blockage must hv been softened enuff to be flushed away

I've been on the serrap for about 3mnts now. I was told at my appointment today that the flushing would be done without anaesthesia. I had to go home to have a rethink, I explained to the Dr. That the pain from the HSG I had last year was nearly unbearable but he told me that I wasn't ready then because the HSG is child's play compared to the flushing.

olive oil therapy has been discussed extensively...search here and also on youtube.
it simply involves getting flannel , pouring the olive oil on the flannel/old singlet...and placing it on ur lower tommy, with a hot water bottle ontop of it, for 30 to 60mins...am and pm.

I know of Castor oil, i didn't know you could use olive oil too. As i speak to you, I was on 3 caps of serrap(120,000 x 3units) daily but for now i do just one cap daily with Nattokinase and Dong Quai...I've been on and off for some months now.

@ fpeter and all that may need the hospital details. It's Imperial Medical Centre, 65 Brickfield road, Apapa road, Ebute-Metta West. Lagos. Tel no 08034085364.(A very patient and understanding doctor indeed runs the hospital)

The fee for the flushing procedure was 60,000 naira. The cycle day I had it was on the 11th day. He suggested the closer to ovulation the better.

Thanks sis, I've been on serrapeptase and other Meds for a while now. I don't know about guifei bao. Is it the one they insert in the Veejay for a couple of days? Please tell me more about the olive oil compress. I had HSG done in April last year and they said both tubes were blocked. I'm scared of a repeat procedure so I am contemplating the flushing option.

Oh no! You aren't bothering me at all. There is love in sharing information. The doctor is at Ebute-Metta, Lagos and yes, he called the procedure flushing.
I was knocked out during the procedure. Woke up after a while to find out he was through with it. Felt dizzy for some minutes before I got better and left the hospital(same day)

Please, feel free to ask whatever question.

Thanks dear sis, this journey is not an easy one at all. I want to try out the flushing too this January instead of a repeat HSG. I heard it works...may God help me. Thank you so much for the clarification.

I had same yeast issue in the past, BT my immediate younger sis( a medical doc) recommended fluconazole. It wiped it and never returned.
