silouette: My people, I just arrived University of Southampton yesterday night. Tried to find my way around, met some of my fellow Nigerians forming britico nonsense for me, abegi, I just freed them.

Thank God I have you guys here to show me the way. Now let me list my issues below:

1) Does missing the first lectures of some courses seriously affect your understanding of the course (I'm MSc). Because I'm scheduled for international check-in tomorrow and I have about 2 lectures clashing with that.

2) One of my optional modules for the 1st semester is clashing with my core module and I don't have another module I'll like to change to, because the last optional module (was asked to choose 2 out of 3) no dey palatable for me at all. Can I still carry on and alternate my attendance without getting into trouble.

3) What is the best network for cheap international calls and data plan because I am using android phone.

4) Please has anyone here used first bank prepaid card to pay for anything online? Is there a cap on payments or the card isn't just accepted for online payments. I tried paying on ikea website and no way.

5) What is the best bank for international students and why? I would like an account with high transaction and transfer limit.

I thank you all in advance for answers to these questions. I'll also appreciate any suggestions or info that will be helpful towards facilitating safe and fruitful stay throughout my study.
Let's meet up
In Southampton too

IntroVAT: Good morning everyone...

Pls how does one correct a mistake that was made in an already printed application?

My earlier refused visa date is incorrect. I erroneously put 3rd July, instead of 3rd june.
Please I hope this is not a big problem and how do I correct it?

Thanks
Attach a note to the application

So for sanity, it's advisable one carries in their hand luggage their own in-flight entertainment(with popcorn) and some snack if one opts for Royal Maroc

spikesC: I would have preferred the cake and orange juice.

Thanks cool

It's funny how people jump to conclusions
I'm sure it's due to some bad experience as a result of their gullibility at some point in their life

It's free information

All you need is what's written on your Cas
Ensure you make photocopies of your documents

You don't need your university offer letter
Too many docs could put you in trouble

This question has not been answered

undecidedI really appreciate your helping hand on visa issues. Can one book appointment for visa today, and have your interview the same day. Or book appointment for tomorrow and still have the interview? Or, you must have a specific duration before you can have you interview when you book? undecided

EducationRe: Nddc Postgraduate Scholarship 2014 by Frangbon: 8:01pm On Jul 12, 2014
Who would it now got to?
The person out there won't get it anyway
If you were short listed as a successful candidate and you end up rejecting it an oga-at-the-top would find a way of keeping the proceeds

csimms7: I dunno what will happen with that, it depends. I've asked also but on the other hand, honestly and candidly between us both, if I were to have two scholarships and I saw there was a way I could cash in on them, inasmuch as I'd be tempted to, I wouldn't. The reason isn't because I'm a saint. It's because there's someone out there, like me too is praying for such an opportunity to advance themselves. The only thing I'd do is take the better one and refuse the other one. That's my own choice though.
