The ones you mentioned are not really "new". It is just these 9ja tutors that extensively preach it and make it look like it is new and a hot cake, even when it is very difficult to land an internship/full-time role with them

The "saturated" ones will still be there in future. If you must explore, it is better to go harder and do AI/ML engineering with python and then prepare to apply for jobs extensively. You can also add django/flask and sell yourself as backend engineer too.

Before you take people as your friends, you need to first of all look at how they treat others and how they solve problems they face. As surprising as it may seem, wicked people can not hide their wicked character. You see it in their lives and decision-making if you watch them. It then becomes a matter of wether you are cool with it or not.

When you also care about how people close to you treat others and not just how they treat you, you see people for who they are.

This is corporate. They could have completely snubbed him or say "Sorry, we can't move on with you", without giving a reason and nothing will happen.

I have gone to read through his original post and look into his LinkedIn profile. One thing stands out to me and it is his years of experience both as an individual contributor and people management. I feel there are other reasons for rescinding his offer but I don't think they did solely because he is Nigerian.

A CTO role for a company that pays that much will come with some great wealth of experience and makes the story questionable.

Surely they tested him in some areas. This is Tech. Roles are not given just based on experience alone. I have seen a 12 years experienced dev flopped badly.
