Yea, but the story didn't say she has cheated, and op asked her to choose between him or the ex. Not about cheating.
This is an ex that is chasing(most likely wants her back), and she is open enough to discuss it with the op. Sometimes marriage solve this issue as it becomes clear to the ex who her choice is.

Not saying that this is what you should do, but sometimes marriage and kids solve this issue.
He still sees her as a single woman that is why he is still pushing. Believing that they can still be together.
If you should marry her now and drop one kid, it is over.

Data analytics is not that settled in Nigeria and there aren't much jobs. You might struggle really hard to even get an interview or a paid internship/junior role. Web and Mobile development(frontend or backend) is a sure bet here and abroad, 'lots of opportunities in that space. just know the core language very well, as coding test is what hinders alot of the devs.
Better you go into UI/UX than data analytics.
