A group of coordinators of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the United States says the country should appoint a special envoy to the Lake Chad region, alleging that Christians are being killed there.

In a letter to Mike Pompeo, US secretary of state, the group alleged that “Biafra Christians” are being targeted in incessant killings in the region and other parts of the country.

The IPOB coordinators accused “extremists” of spearheading the attacks which it said the federal government has failed to address.

It made reference to the report by the United Kingdom All-Party Parliamentary Group on International Religious Freedom or Belief, a group made up of British parliamentarians, which said Christians are being targeted because of their faith in Nigeria.

The letter dated July 6 and signed by Clement Okoro, the group’s national coordinator in the US, read: “We write to you as the United States coordinators for the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), an organization that represents the social, political, and economic interests of Biafrans in Nigeria.

“These issues have been compounded by the Nigerian government’s inability and unwillingness to hold violent perpetrators accountable for their actions.

“As Biafrans who live and work in America but remain immensely concerned about the state of our homeland, we urge you to consider appointing a Special Envoy to the Lake Chad region who can hold the Nigerian government accountable for its harmful actions and equally detrimental inaction.

“Our concerns have also been echoed by the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for International Freedom of Religion or Belief, a group of British lawmakers from across the ideological spectrum established to raise awareness of and defend against religious freedom abuses around the world. Last month, the APPG released a report titled, Nigeria: Unfolding Genocide, which provided recommendations to prevent the persecution of Christians in Nigeria.

“While the report noted that issues like resource competition, population growth, and climate change have contributed to the farmer-herder conflict, it highlighted extremist ideology and government mismanagement as the main sources of conflict, emphasizing, “the inability of the Nigerian Federal and State Governments to protect Christian farmers, and the lack of political will to respond adequately to warnings or to bring perpetrators of violence to justice, has fostered feelings of victimization and persecution.”

The group said in addition to appointing a special envoy in response to the alleged attack, the US should also conduct a study to highlight the issues and hold the Nigerian government accountable.

“The IPOB strongly supports this request, as we believe the only way to prevent the Nigerian government from allowing these attacks and human rights violations to continue with impunity is rigorous oversight conducted by a well- respected third party, like a Special Envoy,” it said.

“People around the world look to the United States as a defender of human rights and democratic values, and we strongly believe that American oversight in the region would promote stability and save lives.”

The press statement was distributed by Mercury Public Affairs, the US lobbying firm.

DID NOSTRADAMUS PREDICT ABOUT NNAMDI KANU?

I wanted to find out for myself

After a research that took me 5 days, I have come out with my own facts about Nostradamus, Biafra and Nnamdi Kanu. I can boast of studying the original text of Nostradamus’ prophecies though it’s writings were veiled in secret texts, anagrams, symbols and numbers. Afterwards I downloaded an interpretation to the prophecies written by Dolores Cannon. Fortified with these, I am averagely informed about Nostradamus and his prophecies that I can tell whether these prophetic visions have anything for Biafra.

The touted prophecy has floated within the Biafran sphere for more than 3 years now. Many people seeing the ingenuity, finesse, intelligence, boldness and courage of Nnamdi Kanu proclaimed “behold a prophet”, “he has told us what no other person has dared to say, we know our heroe (Ohamadike)”. Some linked the strangeness of MNK to an even more stranger man, Nostradmus, citing a controversial prophecy “a powerful prince shall arise from the trigger of the gun…”

Many people have never seen this prophetic line in any book but they are wont to believe it. I myself wanted to believe it but I never wanted to rely on hearsay. So I plunged myself into a study that has lead me to this stage.

Nnamdi Kanu on his broadcast on 27th July, 2020 proclaimed that Nostradamus predicted the coming of Biafra, whereby he said “a powerful race shall emerge from the trigger of the Horn of Africa and its name is Biafra.”

For the record, Nostradamus predicted the coming of Osama Bin Laden and the 9/11 attack on world trade centre, the reign of Hitler, the Conquest of Napoleon and many more. However for Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu (a powerful prince), my research hit a dead end.

Before I begin, I would like to separate the image from the shadows. What Nnamdi Kanu said conflicted with what many others said. I listened to the broadcast over and over. Some commentators say this “a powerful prince shall emerge from the trigger of the gun…”

But Nnamdi Kanu has this to say “a powerful race shall emerge from the trigger of the Horn of Africa”

The much I have read about prophecies the only constant thing is vagueness. Whether this characteristic vagueness is at play here or not, we can only concede to the supposition that it is a prophecy. While Nnamdi Kanu was talking about a race (nation), some others are making references to a prince.

My research has made this clearer in its cause and this is what am here to reveal.

For the record, Nostradamus made use of the word AFRICA(N) only 12 times in his work. Out of this 12 instances, there is 0 times it was preceded or followed by the word Biafra, race, prince, gun or trigger. Out of this 12 times as well, there wasn’t a time it had to do with anything concerning a new nation or revolution.

However, because the seer wrote with anagrams it is not true that my research covers every section he may have referenced Africa or Biafra or a Prince. No interpretation can claim this certainty. Accordingly, in my opinion as well, there should not also be any translation that should claim what it does not understand.

From my research therefore, with the delicate authority of one who is not a Nostradamus, I make with every veracity the claim that in no text of Nostadamus is there any reference or prophecy about a prince, a race, a nation etc related to Biafra. None that I have seen. My claim is subject to corrections, with proofs beyond reasonable doubt.

Also, I wish to make myself clearer here, I do believe that Namdi Kanu is a prophet, the way he spoke none before him has spoken, I believe he is a powerful prince through whom a powerful race will emerge, known as Biafra. I believe this not because of a Nostradamus that lived about 500 years ago.

AWO AND THE CREATION OF STATES

I am a Khana. The Khana along with their cousins, the Gokana, Tai and Eleme have, since 1947, been grouped as Ogonis, in the Ogoni Division. Today, the Khana and Gokana are in the Bori Local Government Area, the Tai and Eleme are part of something called Otelga, a hybrid Local Government consisting of the Okrika Ijaws, the Ndoki Igbos and the Tai and Eleme. We belong to Rivers State.

The Ogoni number about 500,000, which makes me an extreme minority in a Nigeria of one hundred million people. The first secondary school in Ogoni country was established one hundred years after the first secondary school in Yorubaland, the CMS Grammar School in Lagos (1858). These two facts alone, in the first instance, establish my pitiable plight.

I am unfortunate to be a Nigerian. I would rather not be, but I am doing my level best to be one, and a good one at that. Being a Nigerian means that my brother Nigerian of the Bura ethnic group in Borno State has been told that I am a "Southerner," equal to the Yoruba or Igbos who are numerous, well-educated and are after the jobs which the "northerner" ought to have. I wander, therefore, through the Federal Civil Service and am lost in the competition between "northern" and "Southern" Nigerians, between the Igbo and the Yoruba, between the various clans and religions of the various peoples of Nigeria, between personal ambition and greed. I am lost. I cannot truly answer the name Nigerian. [...]

I was a graduate student when the cataclysmic events of 1966 happened. Apart from my revulsion at the needless murders of the innocent, nothing upset me more than Ojukwu's dishonest formulations and his attempt to kidnap the Ogoni, among others, into his Igbo empire called "biafra." I knew that he pinned his hopes of the economic viability of "biafra" on the oil of the Ogoni and the Ijaw. I rebelled. I became Secretary of a small committee which met nights in Port Harcourt and issued a communique calling on Gowon to create a Rivers State by decree.

When, by sheer quirk of fortune, this happened in 1967, I abandoned family and caution, crossed the fighting lines and found myself in Lagos. There I became a member of something called the Interim Advisory Council of Rivers State and, subsequently, Administrator for Bonny.

I returned to the war front and struck up friendships with gentlemen like Sani Bello who comes from Kontagora, Akinrinade from Ife, Obasanjo from Abeokuta, Yakumu Danjuma from Takum, Dan Ato, now deceased, from Bida. I had reason to hope that my nightmare as an Ogoni in Nigeria was about to end.

With the war ended, and as a Commissioner in Rivers State, I soon found that the Rivers State for which I had fought did not end my nightmare. In the first place, oil money from Ogoni country (as well as Ijaw country) was being carted away to Lagos, leaving the Ogoni illiterate and backward.

This is anti-federalism. Worse still, the Ijaws were taking their frustrations out on the non-Ijaws of the State. For the Ijaws along number more than the eight other ethnic groups in Rivers State put together. Though historically disunited, the Ijaws find unity when it comes to lording it over the non-Ijaws. The Ijaws will want to perpetuate this. Today, there is not even a Commission from my Local Government Area in the Rivers State Cabinet such as it is. My dilemma as an Ogoni is not about to end.

Lost in this dreadful nightmare, I went in 1971 to see Chief Awolowo at the Federal Ministry of Finance. There was nothing I told the sage that he was not aware of. He showed me his writings on the issue and bade me seek the mid-Southern State he had proposed in 1966. Thus was the quest for a Port Harcourt State begun. In 1974. When we started, there was no shortage of opponents. To the Ijaws, I became a traitor. [...] The creation of this State would alleviate my nightmare and show Nigeria how much it has robbed and neglected the Ijaws of the oil-bearing Delta.

So, what do I really want? I want a place where my children can regain the independence which was the Ogoni patrimony before the advent of colonial rule and before Nigeria's independence consigned them to slavery at the hands of their neighbours. I want the option of CHOICE. And I am not begging for it. I DEMAND it. And I also want that option for Hauwa Madugu, the 21-year-old Youth Corper in my office. She is a Jenju from Gongola State. So that we can both be better citizens of Nigeria and end our collective nightmare.

CAN NNAMDI KANU DESTROY NIGERIA?

But this sounds like a mere bluff, a joke taken too far, an inflated expression of no consequence.

Nigeria is a large economy of an enviable status, first in Africa and 24th in the Planet Earth. With an estimated GDP of $500b - $1trillion, she is a growing force in international market and an intimidating fellow at that. Allied by the powerful countries of the world, Nigerian unity is not only guaranteed, it is an unbreakable fortress, even wars cannot threaten it.

Assuming there are chances of collapsing a trillion dollar project (Nigeria), the supposed opposition will not only be above the spire in wealth and influence, they need to be "the God of destruction" themselves. Experts would agree that any budget that would cripple Nigeria would need to count in golds. But until now,THERE IS NONE!

THE BIAFRAN BUDGET

IPOB is an organisation operating from London, with less than 1,000 supervised officers under the instructions of a man, Nnamdi Kanu. With available statistics, it is worth little above $85,000/month. It's primary source of income is through donations by affluent members and regular dues by registered (sworn) members. Compared with the might of Nigeria, this organisation can barely hurt a fly in its hardest blow.

Nnamdi Kanu is a popular name in Nigerian politics that evokes Biafran patriotism in some and an ungainly sigh in others. With his enviable following he equates what could be called "the black Napoleon". Just like Napoleon Bonaparte he is loved and respected by a multitude. Some call him "messiah". Quite like a Napoleon, his rusty temperament would always keep him in exile, at bay from politicians that fear his intelligence and ambition. This is because if he is allowed to gather his resources together, the Napoleon might have a chance to take 'France a second time'.

"THE BIAFRAN PROJECT" is a phrase that labels the entire effort put in place to carve Biafra out from Nigeria spearheaded by IPOB. If this project has a chance to topple Nigeria it must be a very narrow one. On top of this, it needs to be operating with a master's strategy.........

Nigeria may boast of a trillion dollar GDP worth, unwavering international alliance, a blockaded parliament that would always favour 'one Nigeria'. But all these cannot withstand a master shock. US National Intelligence Agency projected "there is the possibility of an outright collapse of Nigeria". Admittedly, this prediction is quite some years old but it's truth is not time bound. What if Nigeria was waiting for the right moment and the right strategy to explode peacefully?

Nigeria Guardian Newspaper is now throwing critical analysis of the body double in Aso Rock. Some pictures of President Buhari with questionable different ears were published by Guardian Newspapers to ascertain the true identity of the person occupying Nigeria highest seat of power.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu since 2017 has continued to raise alerm that Buhari is dead and Buried in Saudi Arabia, he stated that the current person parading himself as President Buhari is an impostor. He provided pictorial and video evidences to establish his argument.

Meanwhile, his arguments have thrown Nigeria the giant of Africa off balance, many questions have been raised concerning this unchanged and unrefuted allegations.

Pundits are asking questions, if the allegations made by Nnamdi Kanu were false, what stops the family of the President, Nigeria government or any other Nigerian organization from approaching Bristish court to press legal defamatory charges against Nnamdi Kanu the IPOB leader.
