Ademat7: @franknetter do well to handle critics in d best mature way it speaks about who u are. I dont see any critics bro, what exaclty are they criticizing? How I should live my life? The beauty of this thread is that I'm anonymous. The day I decide I've had enough of this banter and stvpidity being showcased on this thread, I'll just delete everything and deactivate my account. Nothing go happen, nobody go slap me. |

I (with the help of my uncle) intend sending some 2nd hand stuff back to naija. Bicycles, printers, television sets etc Mostly my relatives old stuff. The success of this trip would determine if i would venture into other stuff like phones and the rest.

Priceless25: I wish there's a way FrankNetter can censor this thread in such a way that u'll need his approval before u can comment, in that way if u wanna write rubbish and derail this thread, he can gut ur a**es. D imps derailing this thread can actually create theirs but won't, coz they've got nothing to offer other than wait for someone else to create theirs and they'll rush to crap on 'em. @FrankNetter, pls continue with wht u're doing, d positive pple here are greater than d negative. U're doing a great job. @TWoods.. Dnt argue with anyone anymore. Leave them to their wits. @progress69.. Pls dnt argue again. Opinion varies, so pls, let it go. We're really enjoying this thread. I'm working on moving my content from nairaland as soon as possible. |

InvertedHammer: /. That exactly was my response to the OP who thinks that he is the shiznit because he is paying mortgage in a $300k house in Canada. Even though I pushed the example to the limit, fact is that anyone with the income to build a nice bungalow in Nigeria is better off. But folks are quick to whip out their calculators as if they are making the money abroad but living in Nigeria.
A very good example you have by the way. Like I say, if US and Canada demand outright purchase of cars, many people will never own a car in their lifetime. Much of the lifestyle things here is financed: Cars, furniture, electronics, etc. you name it. An average American is drowning in debt. Savings is the biggest challenge no matter the income level. The society thrives on consumer spending. On the flip side, the illusion of "doing well" is what is sustaining repo and foreclosure "ministries". \ here comes one of pigin2's alternate monikers. You really must be jobless |

austino677: btw who maintain and cut those grass... Nice houses.. . I think each house owner is required to take care of the lawns in front of their house. If you leave it unkept and untidy, the govt will cut it for you but you will pay for it These particular houses look small on the outside, but on getting inside, the basements are huge! |

Arrival at our destination. there's a fish pond (of sorts) at the entrance, If you look closely, you would see some coins at the bottom, apparently, the tradition is you make a wish (speak life into ya coin) then toss it into the fish pond.

After screaming my name from the parlor (I was oblivious of that though, I was on earpiece, remember?), they (my sisters) came and knocked on the door to my room and cunningly convinced me to come to the parlor and gist with them. I obliged. Long story short, I made three new friends that day, they were really lively and fun to be with. I only took the naija girl's number sha (make I start from the one wey I sabi). We've been chatting on whatsapp since, ==================== Earlier today, as some individuals were looking for a way to annoy me, I was in the car (on my way to church), after which I and my family went to eat out. Pictures below We went to McDonald's first, later changed our mind and went somewhere else

Settling in Some days back, one of my Mum's colleague called and said she was gonna bring her kids over to make their hair. Apparently, my mum made an informal announcement some days back at her work place that we (her kids) are around and her daughters are good hair stylists. SO, they fixed the date (Friday) for to bring her kid to braid her. baba, as friday reach, no be pikin i see o! my mum's colleagues' daughter came with her two friends as well. the girl herself is nigerian (she was born here though), One was mexican and the other one was black american. Her parents dropped them off (after negotiating a fee of $120 for each hair). When they rang bell, na me open door. baba, I didnt even know what to do I just stepped aside for them to walk in, closed the door, offered them sits and went to call my sisters from their room. I just jejely entered my room, laid down, put my earpiece and continued my movie (Sherlock Holmes Season 4). I no know say these ladies dey reason my matter for parlor. Apparently, the ladies were arguing that I acted shy, while my sisters were trying to convince them that Im far from that, that I'm anything but shy. |
