joanokuhon:Hello joanokuhon the best thing i feel you should do now is to contact the international relations office of the school and explain things to them, and also you may need to call your programme's director or coordinator too. These guys are honest and friendly and always are there to help. The truth is they like it when you get them involved. Try to make them see reasons with you why you should have an extension for the recognition of your document. They understand these things and i'm sure you will get through it because many have. Goodluck. Cheers!!! |
shadyslim900:I've responded to your question thrice but to no avail. The documents depend on the course of study, sometimes on the faculty and even on the department, however, the main documents are: Your BSc Cerrtificate, your BSc transcript, Your NECO or WAEC certificate, your data page of international passport, sometimes reference or recommendation letter, motivational letter and of course your application fee. I hope this piece is helpful? Cheers!!! |
keyboardone:Thanks bros for your response, i do really pray that you get a slot soon. However, i'm yet to receive my translated documents from Czech Republic, do you advice i try to book an interview now? Although i shall get the documents before this week runs out. Thanks |
keyboardone:@Keyboardone please how was your interview like? and what documents did you translate. Your comments will sure be highly appreciated. Thanks brother. |
gowaga68:Yes it's not their fault because when they try to withdraw cash from their naira account over there, what they get is approximately the black market rate and they also have to include the bank's commission too. |
gowaga68:The official rate for czk is 13naira (1czk= 13ngn), euro is 351naira (1euro= 351ngn) and 1euro is around 27.03czk. You need to convert to euro and tell the bank the amount you're paying in euros. Trust me, it is fast although they will collect close to 360 per euro and charge you their own commission but it is the fastest so far. Please if you have a trusted friend then you can calculate and know which is cheaper. Good luck |
keyboardone:Ok then, but what documents did you tranaslate. Success on your interview |
keyboardone:Try to use Union bank. If you're in Lagos please go to their head office and use the form A, it takes about two to three working days. But to do it very fast please try and make payment through somebody already staying in Europe. Please how did you go about your translation of documents, how many documents did you translate. Thanks |
Hello pals, please has anyone been to the embassy recently? |
Hello everyone, has anybody been to the embassy of recent? I'm making plans to book my interview |
namebdis4:The University gives a general checklist because they have students coming from all over the world including America and you don't even have same visa requirement with a guy from the USA but your specific checklist is given by the embassy in your country. My brother for us to be sure just send a mail to VFS and take whatever they tell you. Good luck |
fikki1:Hello fikki1, i would first advice you send VFS Global an email to know your stand about the issue, but my friend not me, had to pay through a friend schooling in Belgium the balance. One thing i'm sure of is that i'm conversant with Belgian laws and lots more. There is no short-route to getting it over there. I decided to chip-in this issue because i felt time has gone and in order for you to avoid further delay. Try to hear from the "horses mouth" (VFS). Although today is Belgian National Day. Good luck |
fikki1:You can get more information from VFS to clarify but two friends of mine paid 215euros last year and my wife making it the third person, paid same 215euros this year. I just verified now, you are to pay 215euros if you are above 21years. Please find an extract i got from the checklist for those applying for Belgian study visa . I tried uploading but the files are too large Attention: the visa application must contain the legalized sponsorship form. If the sponsorship form in the visa file is not legalized by the Embassy prior to submission of the file, the sponsor will not be contacted and the visa will most probably be refused. for the academic year 2015-2016 the sponsor needs to prove a regular income of at least 1617€ monthly. (617€ for the student + 1000€ for the sponsor himself + if applicable 150€ for every person already dependent on the sponsor). If you are over 21 (article 58) or over 18 (article 9), a certificate attesting the lack of any convictions for crimes or offences under common law issued not more than six months prior to the date of application (police character certificate). This document has to be legalized. A medical certificate issued by a Belgian Embassy approved medical doctor issued not more than six months prior to the date of application. Please check the list of approved medical practitioners. If you are over 21 (article 58) or over 18 (article 9). Please refer to page three (3) and check the "b" part. |
namebdis4:No problem my pal, but has the person that paid 160euros submitted his or her application and it was accepted already? If yes, ask for his or her age then know whether it is less than 26years but if no, you can mail VFS to find out. Like i said before, it's written interview however, the embassy staff may ask you some addition questions. It is clearly stated in their web site that there will be interview. See, they will ask yo to write an essay on your intended course. Anyway, like i said, Belgian study visa is one of the easiest to get. Have a nice time |
fikki1:A friend of mine who is currently studying in Belgium paid 160euro last year but VFS asked him to make the balance of 215euros. At VFS office, they will ask you the amount you pay but trust me you will make the balance of 215euros before they will collect your application. My wife is going for studies at Ghent. Anyway, i believe the 160euros is probably for people less than 26years but not lesser than 18 because laws in Belgium gives them right to certain benefits including reduction in amount of certain fee they are to pay. Please check my upload about this. Belgium visa is one of the easiest to get i must confess. make sure your guarantor or sponsor receives nothing less than 500-600K because of exchange rate. The interview is usually written but you may be asked to bring some supporting documents like your NYSC which was my case in 2012. Please take note of the following: Why the course What impact it will have You need to know the name and full address of the school Then the contact person in the school, maybe the person in charge of the international students The person name and address They also asked about your sponsor Where he or she works and the no. of children Also about your plans after studying Also, there was a question that says will you stay back after your studies? Also they asked what will you do if you fail in the first year why Belgium? To mention but few. It's for an hour of more but the rushing "nor be yeh oh" Good luck |
Hello Belgium prospective students, just to let you know that legalization at the Royal Embassy of Belgium, Usuma Street, Abuja is now 6,200 naira per document and also application fee at VFS located at Lobito Crescent, Abuja is now 65,500 naira you also need to pay the additional visa fee to the home office in euro (215euro). My wife just submitted and waiting for her interview. I may answer questions too because i had lived in Belgium where i studied in 2012 but came back to Naija because of some personal stuffs although i got admitted this year to a popular university there too this year and another in Czech republic, i've started processing that of Czech already. Advice, try to hold tight to what you have and do not let it go.. Good luck. Belgium is a nice place, friendly people and lovely sights and cities. Brother you can have job while schooling too. Just to mention but few. Good luck to y'all. |
th gergemam:Great, thanks for the info, i'm working on it. |
bargamkhan01:Firstly, the letter you uploaded bears 2015/2016 which is last academic session. Secondly, what i deduced from the letter is that you have a place to study already but you need to send your Secondary School Certificate and reference letter to them by post before 31st of August 2015 (remember your letter states 2015 not 2016). Therefore, you need to confirm from their site the address to send your result and reference letter to and whether or not you are to send superlegalized copy of the result. I hope this help friend. Have a nice time. |
gergemam:Good, paying my tuition fees may be done from Nigeria if they send me the details because as far as i know, no student for my program was given detail on fee payment because it is non-refundable and it's just 200euro when converted from cK. I will only pay the accommodation which is refundable. Please do you have clue on translators to use. Please which institution are you heading for? Mine is Czech University of Life Sciences Prague |
bargamkhan01:Brother you can get quality opinions if your write up are clearer |
gergemam:My School asked me to pay only for accommodation. I'm trying to get a translator and you? |
bargamkhan01:In order to answer your questions try to make a clearer statement and a also, what program did you apply for: Bachelor or Master? |
Promises40:Yes off course in most of the schools but you have to take a language course first, pass your exam and be eligible for the studies |
Promises40:How do you mean, "free university". |
damcolours:Union bank is always the fastest for payment of tuition fee using form A. Unless the school ask for tuition payment, then you have to pay before going for interview. |
stoicism:Please Stoicism can you give me a link on how i can get a competent person to help translate my documents. Please i will also beg to know the documents you translated during your time. Thanks brother |
gowaga68:I was offered a Master course. Please are you applying or you are in Czech Republic already. I need somebody to talk to please. |
stoicism:Good day Stoicism and all, Please i recently got admitted to Czech University of Life Sciences Prague and would like to ask you some very important questions about visa processing, since you're among the very successful applicants to get visa. Please let me know how you would like me to contact you, either on this platform or privately. I will really appreciate your kind gesture. I will also beg of you in advance not to be tired of my questions. It will not last long. Thank you and God bless. |

stoicism:Please stoicism can we talk. A little bit urgent Please |
@nedostic and all in the house, thanks for your contributions which has helped the morals of hundreds of people however, please my wife have a Bachelor of Arts (Ed) degree and recently applied for Bachelor in Business Administration. The school (CULS) requested for "allocation of hours of each subject taken in secondary school or in last 4 years". She had "E8" in mathematics. Please i need your helpful suggestions, it will never be taken for granted. Thanks |
Hello and good day to you all e-family. Please i need urgent reply and help on this: My enrollment deadline is 26th of October, i appealed visa refusal on 28th September and till this moment nothing has been said about it. I contacted my school (University of Bremen) for enrollment extension and they refused. Please what do i need to do? Does any have the phone contact of the alien's office in Bremen? The contact number of the consulate general in Lagos and if possible the line to use to reach the Asian-looking lady at the consulate. Thank you very much as i wait in anticipation to hearing from you guys. |
