Immatex: This picture can’t tell the complete story.
But this is does not look like a mistake.
I would assume this is an old structure undergoing a makeover and the contractor believes knocking down the existing stairs will weaken the the structural integrity of the building and so prefers this design that looks like attempt to retain structural stability.
It’s also possible that the under stairs will get knocked down later.
So this photograph can’t make for an informed opinion. I like your take but I don't think the bottom stairs can be knocked down without it having a pretty adverse effect on the top stairs so most likely both will be left the way they are, no knockdowns |

What you guys bring to NL is pretty worrying. You gave no evidence the picture was photoshopped, so you have zero proof, yet you felt it wise to create a thread to bash "obidients" for creating a photoshopped picture. nady94: This is the first reply I am seeing that makes sense. People should use their head alittle before responding to informations. It’s not possible for an account to be opened (state account for that matter) without proper documentations gotten and remember there are so many maker checkers during account opening processing. Most people do not like successful institutions so banks like GTB, zenith, access etc always have a lot of haters. Plus people feel like bank charges are too much, which I agree with to some extent, but all these are in the TnC, simply close your account if you no longer want to do business with the bank. |
Family › Re: My Wife Thinks I Got Someone Else Pregnant N by franugo(m): 8:28am On May 20, 2025 |
unzend: Hello everyone, I need your opinions on this issue that’s causing some interesting situation at home.
I’ve been working fully remote for two years now, taking care of the kids and managing the house after moving into a state in Nigeria from Lag. (I was hybrid before and go to Lag weekly before- not easy). Last Friday, my wife came back home from Lag - we stiĺl maintain our house there cos she works there , and everything just went upside down.
I stepped outside to take get somewhere, and she checked my phone (we’re recently being locking phones). She saw a pregnancy scan on my phone that mentioned something about “breech presentation.” The thing is, this scan isn’t mine! It belongs to my Farm worker’s wife. He showed it to me while talking about her condition, and I took a picture to keep it for him for hospital records and future reference. That’s all.
When my wife saw it, her mood changed instantly. She started asking me tough questions, but I gave vague answers cos I knew her tendedncy to have persismistic thoughts and conclusions. Haha! She concluded I got another woman pregnant. Before I knew it, she called my mum, then my dad. That same evening, my dad came over to comfort her. From his expression, it looked like he also thought I messed up. I just excused myself and left the room.
Now, my mum and dad have called me, saying they’re disappointed and telling me to repent from “adultery.” I got upset and told them I’m a grown man who can make my own choices, and I haven’t done anything wrong.
She informed all my in-laws and says my FIL is really angry.
The while situation has sent my wife into a spiral—she’s paranoid, heartbroken, and acting sick. She’s telling me to pay off this “woman,” block her, and never speak to her again. I told her I won’t do that cos the woman may have being her!
Right now, I’m just letting things sit to see how it plays out, but the tension between us is heavy. My wife is not herself, and my parents are treating me like I’ve sinned. She even acted up to the point She was prophesying my Downfall cos of my Adultery. Like in the spirit the 30 minutes straight. I just dey shake my head.
What's your opinion about this, I plan to keep it on for as long as I can withstand the drama. All I see is a man that is tired of having peace in his family cause what sort of senseless post is this? You didn't get a woman pregnant but you want your wife, her family and yours to think you did to see how long you can withstand the drama? Are you sure you're okay at all ?

this news makes little sense. Firstly, no bank will open a state account without the proper documentation. Secondly, revenue payment accounts are given to the payers by the state agents, not the bank. I'd really like to take a look at the case file |
Education › Re: Covenant University Under Fire Over Death Of Sacked Lecturer by franugo(m): 8:05pm On May 19, 2025 |
Jameskit110: RIP to the departed. When a company can no longer afford to pay its employees, letting them go is often a more responsible choice than keeping them unpaid for months. I've experienced this myself, and life moves on. Emotional blackmail over job loss isn't fair—sometimes, accepting reality is necessary.
For perspective, the Federal Government still owes my mother her gratuity even though she retired over eight years ago. Yet, some people are complaining about eight months of unpaid wages just to make a scene. God sees the true intentions of our hearts.
If anyone still can’t understand the point, feel free to move along. Using a worse example to show that covenant is only slightly bad is not really the best play here brother. |

Difrent: You go explain tire This phrase is quite possibly the silliest I've ever heard. Someone will make a well reasoned argument expecting it to be countered by someone sensible to move the discussion forward, only to see "you go explain tire" from people that have no reasonable rebuttal. Once I see this response in my mentions, I just smh, simply means the person has nothing sensible to add to the discussion |
