The child who does not allow his mother to sleep will not sleep either . Lagosians are fully prepared for these hoodlums. Robbery of house to house is at its peak all over Lagos.

No sleeping this period! Every single individual has suddenly turned to security operative. This is what Buhari government has turned our beautiful Nation, Nigeria into! Buhari has subjected every Nigerian to four cruel factors at a time just because of his incompetence as a president in the name of fighting #COVID19 #CORONAVIRUS.

We no longer fight #COVID19 #CORONAVIRUS, People of Nigeria are not only dying of #COVID19 any more but fighting and dying of hunger, restrictions, armed robbers and no work. Shame to president Buhari government for its incompetence and inability to save this country.

It's high quality time we Nigerians take this bullshits of president Buhari to streets and social media with protest.

We are not slaves! We are in our own country. We need peace and freedom. Stay at home is no more helping the situation rather it keeps worst every day.

Pop singer, actress, and designer Rihanna has added another title to her list of achievements after receiving an ambassadorial role from her country, Barbados.

The star, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was named “Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary” for her home country on Thursday.

The role involves promoting education, tourism and investment.

Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley said she was honoured to confer the title.

In a statement, the prime minister said”Rihanna has a deep love for this country and this is reflected in her philanthropy, especially in the areas of health and education. She also shows her patriotism in the way she gives back to this country and continues to treasure the island as her home.”

Looking good

The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Mr Olagunju Ojo, the Minority Leader, Ademola Ige and five other lawmakers, on Tuesday defected to three different parties.


This was disclosed in separate letters read by the Clerk of the House, Mr Paul Bankole, during the plenary session in Ibadan.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the Speaker, Ojo (Labour Party-Orire), Mrs Wunmi Oladeji (Labour Party-Ogbomoso North) and Solomon Olukayode (Labour Party-Ogbomoso South) defected to the All Progressives Congress.

Gbenga Oyekola ( Labour Party-Atiba) and Peter Oyetunji (Labour Party-Ogo Oluwa/Surulere), on the other hand, defected to African Democratic Congress and Peoples Democratic Party respectively.

The Minority Leader, Mr Ige (Accord Party-Ibadan South-East II) and Mr Fatai Adesina (Accord Party-Ibadan South-East I) defected to the ADC.

Minister of Fiance, Kemi Adeosun, has reportedly resigned her appointment
According to Daily Trust, it is not clear when she submitted her resignation letter.

Her resignation is coming after allegation that she forged her National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, certificate emerged.
Report gathered when we contacted the ministry for confirmation, a source who does not want his name in print said he will revert with details.

Atiku, Lamido flay govt’s fiscal policies, proffer options:

President Muhammadu Buhari’s emergence as the ruling party’s sole candidate in the next year’s general elections triggered a fresh squabble between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday.

“Had President Buhari shed his desperation for power and allowed for internal democracy within the APC, particularly when it became clear that Nigerians across board have become averse to his re-election, due to his incompetence and insensitivity to the plight of the citizens, there would have been little hope for the APC,” the opposition party said in a statement by its spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan.

Concluding the development would ensure its own victory at the polls, the PDP noted: “President Buhari’s fear to contest an elective presidential primary, for which he and a few APC leaders scared away other presidential contestants within their party with threats and high nomination form fees, ended up ruining APC’s chance of fielding a good candidate for the election.”

According to the party, “In muzzling contest in APC and gleefully emerging a sole candidate, President Buhari has merely won a pyrrhic victory. (He is) a general without a troop, with no capacity to face a general election, as the army of stakeholders and the masses that supported him in 2015 have since left him because of his unfulfilled promises and many failures in governance.”
It added: “Since President Buhari’s declaration to contest the 2019 election, true democrats and other well-meaning citizens have continued to leave the APC in droves for the repositioned PDP, which has now become the rallying platform for all Nigerians, in their collective quest for a new president among the array of very credible aspirants in the PDP.”

An unspecified number of Nigeria pilgrims who were on this year’s Hajj with months of pregnancy have lost their pregnancies.


The pregnant pilgrims, who might have fraudulently escaped the compulsory pregnancy test meant for all female intending pilgrims from their respective states, were not lucky enough to survive the rigorous routine, coupled with harsh weather in Saudi Arabia.


Confirming the development Friday with journalists in Makkah, Commissioner in-charge of health at National hajj commission Dr Ibrahim Abubakar Kana revealed that some pregnant pilgrims ended up with miscarriage after they subjected themselves to needless a rigour during the Arafat exercise.


Saudi authorities and Nigeria’s National Hajj Commission forbid pregnant women from performing Hajj. Hence the introduction of the mandatory pregnancy test to discourage those that may be tempted to attempt the journey with pregnancy.
Dr Kana regretted that despite the efforts of his medical team rescue the situation, it became apparent that some critical patients needed to be subjected to conditional abortion in order to save the lives of the women.

He said that a number of pregnant pilgrims in critical condition were referred to Saudi’s tertiary facility.

The health commissioner, who obviously remained silent on the number of persons affected and the identity of states that produced the women in question, worried over how the pilgrims managed to scale through the pregnancy test from their state pilgrim’s boards.

South Africa yesterday detained a Russian ship laden with weapons and allegedly bound for Lagos, Nigeria. The vessel said to have left Madagascar was stopped near Port Elizabeth in South Africa’s Eastern Cape Province.“We are aware that she has dangerous cargoes – explosives and weapons – on board,” Olwethu Mdabula, spokeswoman for the Transnet state transport company told AFP, declining to give further details.

“This is a very, very sensitive matter. It is receiving attention,” spokesman for the Hawks police investigative unit, Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi, told the news agency, confirming the vessel was carrying weapons.The discovery of the ship said to have been stacked with “weapons and explosives worth about $3.5m in 20 containers” followed an anonymous tip-off.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed told The Guardian he did not have any information on the issue, as at press time.The polity, meanwhile, is getting increasingly charged as the 2019 elections approach. The number of parties contesting for space this time around is unprecedented. Analysts have actually warned that having 91 political parties in a developing country like Nigeria is unhelpful to the nation’s democracy and a call to disorder. They made the assertion in Lagos while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on political developments in the country.The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on August 16 issued certificates to 23 newly registered political parties, raising the number of registered parties to 91.

A professor of political science at the National Open University of Nigeria, Femi Otubanjo, said: “Registering more parties is awkward and unnecessary, though we cannot rule out the fact that these minor parties that are registering can transform into major political parties.“The ideological space does not allow for so many parties.

People can always stick to two or three political parties. INEC is not the one creating this problem; the problem is already embedded in our constitution and I do not think any good will come out of reviewing the constitution in this regard,” he said.He noted: “What this means is that INEC has to do more work by producing a more acceptable and understandable documentation, particularly the voters’ list or ballot list for voting and have more materials on the day of election.

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) drew the ire of some Nigerians and groups yesterday after one of the leaders of the herders’ organisation became embroiled in the ongoing political drama involving Senate President Bukola Saraki.

One Alhaji Garus Galolo, said to be Miyetti Allah’s Benue State coordinator, had in an interview with a national daily added his voice to the repeated call by the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Saraki’s resignation, following his defection to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Galolo said: “Saraki ought not to be in office again as Senate President. More so, Saraki has failed to coordinate and organise the National Assembly to offer quality legislation that Nigerians need.
“Nigerians are in dire need of people that have the interest of the masses. Miyetti Allah is looking for a leader that would preside over the affairs of the Senate with ultimate respect for the executive and the judiciary, not someone like Senator Saraki that would always scheme to outdo the Presidency.
“We are tired of Saraki’s style of leadership at the National Assembly. Therefore, we are now warning him to honourably resign his position as president of the Senate or we will force him out.”

I think this comes too suddenly as a result of too much defection to PDP of its members recently.
The party with all indications, has been checked out and confirmed to be nothing but a deserted island.

Due to this serious ailment in the house of economic destroyer, called All Progressive Congress, APC, the party has woefully throw out membership registration exercise so that those who defect to Peoples' Democratic Party, PDP could be indirectly regained.

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved the immediate recommencement of the Continuous Nationwide Membership Registration exercise in all 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).


Yekini Nabena, APC National Publicity Secretary, said this in a statement on Wednesday.
He said the decision followed calls from members of the public interested in joining the party, “to support the Change Agenda of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC administration”.

“The exercise will include both fresh registrations and revalidation of existing membership for the purposes of issuance of the Party’s permanent membership cards.
“We hereby urge our teeming supporters and members to take advantage of the exercise”, the statement added.

Houston Rockets guard James Harden announced on Saturday a pledge of $1 million to aid the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

Harden met with Houston mayor Sylvester Turner to discuss the city's recovery, and announced the donation while visiting the George R. Brown Convention Center.

"This is home for me," Harden said. "I wanted to say thank you to (Houston Texans defensive end) J.J. Watt, what he's doing for the city. Thank you to the mayor for helping me. I just want to donate and give back to the community as much as I can. I'm going to donate a million dollars to the city, to the areas that need it and to people that need it, to make the city stronger." Earlier in the day, Turner had thrown out the first pitch at the Astros game alongside local police and first responders.

Harden has followed Watt's lead when it comes to stepping up aid efforts. Watt initially sought to raise $200,000 but has since cleared more than $15 million through online efforts. New Rockets addition Chris Paul announced a donation of $75,000 and Rockets owner Les Alexander committed an additional $10 million to the cause.

Michelle Carter, the Massachusetts native who was convicted several weeks ago of involuntary manslaughter in the 2014 suicide of her boyfriend, was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison today. She is only expected to serve 15 months, however, as a judge declared the rest of her sentence suspended. Moreover, Carter will not begin serving her term until her potential appeal is resolved, a judge ruled.


Carter’s case has garnered national headlines due to its unusual nature. While the way Carter acted toward Conrad Roy three years ago was undeniable despicable, questions have been raised over whether she ought to be held legally responsible for his death. In July of 2014, Roy locked himself in his truck and committed suicide via carbon monoxide poisoning.


The incident took place after Carter, who was 17 years old at the time, urged Roy - through text messages and phone conversations - to take his own life. She was even on the phone with him, encouraging the 18-year old, who had a history of mental illness, to remain his pickup truck as it filled with the deadly gas while it was parked near a store.


Altogether, it is believed Carter sent Roy over 1,000 text messages during their relationship.

Remember when Kanye West had a mental breakdown, checked himself into a hospital, and had to cancel his tour? Normally, some very pricey insurance policies cover that kind of situation.

FRAYOKIT NEWS learnt that Kanye West was totally disappointed by his insurers; that was the main reason he is suing them for negligence and absolute disappointment in matters relating to his personal life and health.


But apparently things for Kanye aren't working out and he's suing his insurers for $10 million ... and basically accusing them of being scammers.


And here we were thinking that the Smelly Vagina Lawsuit getting settled was interesting legal news!


Kanye has always been impulsive and outlandish. It's part of his brand. A lot of people believed that maybe it was mostly an act. People have had similar theories about plenty of stars who are known for being controversial or badly behaved.


Basically, people have trouble believing that a grown adult could act like some celebrities do, and so they imagine that it's all a show.


In some cases, they're absolutely right. But things with Kanye were clearly more serious than a childlike lack of impulse-control.


In recent years, he's done everything from tweet that Bill Cosby is innocent to beg Jay-Z to not have him murdered to making the irrational statement that, had he voted, he would have voted for Trump.

Many people have had tough dealings with insurance adjusters, but this sounds like it's on a whole other level.




Strap in, folks, because this is possibly the most entertaining legal document that you're going to read for a good long while.

"[The insurers haven't] provided anything approaching a coherent explanation about why they have not paid, or any indication if they will ever pay or even make a coverage decision."


Does anybody else notice a hint of sass in that?


"Implying that Kanye’s use of marijuana may provide them with a basis to deny the claim and retain the hundreds of thousands of dollars in insurance premiums paid by Very Good."

By Very Good, they mean Very Good Touring, Inc, which sounds like a lazy parody but it's just the name of Kanye's touring company. Kanye's legal team accuses these insurers of more than just screwing over Kanye's company, though: "

The stalling is emblematic of a broader modus operandi of the insurers of never-ending post-claim underwriting where the insurers hunt for some contrived excuse not to pay." Basically, Kanye's accusing these syndicates of accepting massive sums of money (insurance premiums) and then searching for any loophole that keeps them from having to pay anything back when a claim is filed.


That's not how insurance companies are supposed to operate. "Almost immediately after the claim was submitted, Defendants selected legal counsel to oversee the adjustment of the claim, instead of the more normal approach of retaining a non-lawyer insurance adjuster."

That sounds shady, right? Kanye's team thinks so.


"Immediately turning to legal counsel made it clear that Defendants’ goal was to hunt for any ostensible excuse, no matter how fanciful, to deny coverage or to maneuver themselves into a position of trying to negotiate a discount on the loss payment."


It's an insurance adjuster's job to make sure that nobody's filing a false claim, but companies are supposed to pay out when an honest claim is filed.Kanye's lawyer, Howard King, has an incredibly well-written statement on the case. "Performing artists who pay handsomely to insurance companies within the Lloyd's of London marketplace to obtain show tour 'non-appearance or cancelation' insurance should take note of the lesson to be learned from this lawsuit:"


Clearly, he's going right for their reputation. "Lloyd's companies enjoy collecting bounteous premiums; they don't enjoy paying claims, no matter how legitimate. Their business model thrives on conducting unending 'investigations,' of bona fide coverage requests, stalling interminably, running up their insured's costs, and avoiding coverage decisions based on flimsy excuses."

Then comes the best line:

"The artists think they they're buying peace of mind. The insurers know they're just selling a ticket to the courthouse."

If that's any indication, it sounds like Kanye's getting his money's worth out of his attorney. If only he'd had that kind of luck with his tour's insurers, huh?
