BusinessRe: 5 Signs That Shows You May Never Be Successful In Life! by free37: 9:42pm On Feb 09, 2016
Secretario:
One of the basic goals of man on earth aside survival is to be a success or rather to become successful.

Success or been successful can be described as achieving of results wanted or hoped for; this may include getting things done, achieving varying goals and positions in the society.

To be a success is one drive every man has and actualizing success most times is a lifelong goal for every individual on earth.

In the midst of the basic drive for success, we still have breeds and handful of underachievers and unsuccessful individuals.

They keep failing and going in cycles. These are attributes most people will say are dependent on a lot of uncontrollable factors like spirituality, moral standing …

Inasmuch as we cannot rule those factors out, there are others we need to look out for.

Success cannot be measured but it can be deduced and invariably be dependent on some activities and behavioral traits we don’t really give much importance and values to.
Signs to know you will never be Successful in life

This will go on to show you what you need to know about hindrances you are facing towards your ability to be a success in life and i advise that you read objectively:

1. INABILITY TO MAKE DECISIONS AND STILL DEPENDENT

The very first sign you should look out for in your quest for success is how decisive and independent you are.

Can you make drastic decisions without seeking the consent and validation of others?

Are you still dependent on parents, friends etc. for your daily survival?

Making decisions are the litmus test that shows your readiness and maturity as a man who will be a potential success and a decreased level of dependence on others (parents, friends, partner, spouse etc.) for survival really shows that you are on of a kind and also on the right course.

Been able to call the shots and making decisions on your own most times coupled with your independence will go a long way to tell the world of your arrival, but if negative, well you will never find it easy becoming a success!

2. YOU DON’T HAVE GOALS AND PLANS

A goal is more like an aim or purpose that you drive towards to actualize your aspirations of been a success.

Having no goal is as good as living a purposeless life because you will not also be privy to make great plans.

5 signs that shows you will never be successful in life!

Planning is really important to your general quest for success, a popular saying goes thus “he who fails to plan, plans to fail”.

Setting plans is more like putting up structures and landmarks that will guide you to an inevitable success.

Planning is important because without a set down pattern to follow to achieving your goals, you are definitely going to remain a complete failure and success will be very far from your reach.

3. YOU WORRY ABOUT HOW PEOPLE SEE YOU AND WHAT THEY SAY

The idea of social interaction is cemented on your relationship with others and how well you can tailor and adapt yourself to the current trend and opinions of others.

It is ideal to be worried and concerned about how people see you and regard, it is even more great to know there opinion of you, but this can also be your greatest undoing.

People will always talk and not everyone will like you, but the moment you realize it is your life you are living and not theirs, then it is imperative to know that they are not really supposed to tell you how to live your life.

Constantly seeking validation and approval from others by trying to act to their requirements and request will do you a greater harm in your quest for success.

I will advise that you listen more but act your best without trying to please everyone, otherwise, you will just be the next in number amongst the most underachieved and unsuccessful people on earth!

4. YOU ALWAYS LEAVE THINGS TO CHANCE

Chance is the level of possibility or likelihood that something will happen, and seriously is this what you want to bank on?

The earlier you learn that things don’t just get done on their own the better for you and your success drive.

Nothing really happens by chance and even if, it will never be better than anticipated or when It is really and fully controlled.

Take charge of everything around you no matter how minute or even in-cognizant. Don’t ever leave anything to chance because you will never get what you really want or sincerely deserve.

Begin to push for things and don’t sit with arms crossed doing nothing, my analogy of getting things done is…

“If I did not do it or I don’t have an input towards its actualization, then it’s not mine and it’s not worth anything!”

Nothing good comes easy and anything by chance is mostly not good except you are content with the bottom of the success chain left only for mediocre.

5. YOU LOOSE FOCUS EASILY AND DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT

Now this is a grave situation, a man who looses focuses easily and don’t even know what he wants is a directionless entity, it would have been advisable not to be alive.

You should have a focus as an human being which will give you a clear cut direction on what ypu need to do to achieve what you want. But not even knowing what you want at first is already a negative drive on your focus.

As a man, you should begin to write out achievable wants and set motions to achieve them by fixing your efforts and focus on them.

A man without focus and direction can never achieve anything, the best he can do in that condition is to fail consecutively.

If you ever want to succeed, you have to be focused.

CONCLUSION

The signs above already have shown you that you are either on the path to success or failure and it is left to you to change course or improve on the positive.

Been successful is a collective and cumulative effort and it all starts from when you make up your mind to start working towards it.

Success is not for the faint-hearted but for those that can take charge and weather the storm no matter the turbulence!

naijainstinct:
1. Anyone can suffer depression.

2. Not only drug abuse, but sleeplessness, over anxiety, frustration and depression can lead to mental illness.

3. We must learn to pay attention and make efforts to remedy the situation when we observe strange changes in our loved ones i.e seclusion & withdrawal from social activities or people, quick anger at the slightest irritation, depression etc

4. People use different things, methods or avenues to hide their depression e.g religiousity, food, alcohol, sex, drugs, seclusion, withdrawal from social circles etc

5. No matter how difficult, stressful or shameful it may seem, depressed or mentally insane people need more love and care (more than ever) from their loved ones. It could be all they need to overcome the depression.

6. It is not until one is mentally ill or insane before they should go and see a psychiatrist. If you notice any form of depression, sleeplessness, fear, over anxiety, wanting to be secluded or sudden withdrawal from social circles, unexplainable and incessant mood swings, anger at the slightest irritation, mental stress from work, family, finances etc, please see a psychiatrist.

6. God heals and heals totally. Just trust in Him.

7. In every situation, we must learn to give thanks to God. It could have been worse than this. What if my sister had stabbed herself or her daughter with the knife? Or gotten electrocuted while trying to forcefully pull out the wall lamp? Or even tried to light up the gas cooker? There is always a reason to thank God......just look closer!

8. No matter how terrible that situation may seem, it won't last for long. It will pass. This time last year, I wouldn't have believed that my sister will be very normal and even working.

9. Nothing is worth the stress. If you die from stressing yourself while trying to get something, you still won't get it. So why the stress? Everything has got its own time & season, what is yours will surely come to you at the right time without too much stress. I later got to find out (from interaction) that being a single mum at 27+ was what was eating my sister up and also joblessness/idleness (she was idle for a year after youth service). Whereas, I have seen women who are single at 40 and are still happy and hopeful.

Sometimes, when I look back at some of those events, I just laugh. Especially when we went to the police station for an extract to enable us apply for a replacement of some of her credentials. Instead of telling them that the credentials got missing, I told them the whole truth. They showed us pepper and extorted money from us. They mocked us at the station and marveled at the possibility of anyone burning their own academic credentials with a sane mind. They even asked us to bring pictures of the burnt ashes. No be small wahala ooo, but at the end, God took the glory. Thanks for your time.
@Lalasticlala, kindly help in sharing my testimony.

Craven:
they usually lack all the important factors that a startup needs for expansion and growth. All they are concerned about is 'making money' and 'working on your own time'.

The truth is not every business started by an aspiring entrepreneur will survive or grow. The reason for this, amongst many others, include:

* The harsh economy (the main reason, actually)
* Lack of proper financing
* Lack of business management skills (people fail to acknowledge the strategic aspect of owning businesses - their own understanding of the term 'entrepreneurship' is 'owning a small business' - they fail to see that entrepreneurs are creative, innovative, and consistent people)
* Lack of innovation by an aspiring entrepreneur (another important factor people fail to acknowledge; there's actually a Nairalander advertising his ability to make a forum exactly like Nairaland - no creativity whatsoever.
JeffreyJamez:
To me...this article is thick BS!... undecided...you know how much the akara sellers take home per day?.... or those people who roast plantain?.... just because it looks petty doesn't mean money is not made.... what is the main aim of employment?...is it not to make money?.You talk about Luck?....there are people who have worked their way upup without luck...it's called Hard work. This article is for people who want to be entrepreneurs but are lazy!!. Sit down there and be waiting for "opportunities" ,don't look for something to learn that will give you money.
odeexpress:
In reality, entrepreneurship reduces unemployment. There are numerous entrepreneurs that are born, but many others are made. Facing challenges as an entrepreneur is not specific to Nigeria. Entrepreneurs in other countries face numerous challenges as well. It is true that we have our challenges like access to funds and poor infrastructure. However, most Nigerians equate entrepreneurship to buying and selling or opening a small business.
Entrepreneurship is a composite skill, which includes imagination, readiness to take risks, ability to bring together and put to use other factors of production such as capital, labour, land and other intangible resources. One of the qualities of entrepreneurship is the ability to discover an investment opportunity and to organize an enterprise, thereby contributing to real economic growth and creating jobs in the process. It involves taking of risks and making the necessary investments under conditions of uncertainty and innovating, planning and taking decisions.
All that is required is for the government to provide the enabling environment for entrepreneurs to thrive.
HAH:
No one is asking you to be Dangote or Otedola, what we are preaching is be like the bakery owner on your street, be the fashion designer next door or person that supply all the egg in your neighborhood.
I guess you will rather be an employee that receives 80k monthly, don't get me wrong am not saying you shouldn't be an employee but always look for a side business that you can fall back to, I left a job that paid me 480k monthly to be on my own, it wasn't easy being on my own it requires determination and hardwork sometime I felt like regretting why I left my job, but now anytime I see the assets I own and the people that feed under me I give God the glory
Your attempt at blaming politicians is a lazy man excuse,
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why Entrepreneurship Is Not The Solution To Unemployment In Nigeria by free37: 1:14pm On Jan 24, 2016
Charism:
People who make it are the lucky ones, lucky in the sense that the have opportunities that others never had or will never have which they harnessed to their advantage.
Opportunities like capital, good location, skills, business climate, experience e.t.c. These variable are not things you have control over. Take for example Dangote started his business with just #500,000 (a huge amount of money during the 70's) given to him by his uncle Dantata (one of the richest men in nigeria at that time) who also groomed him in the tricks of business management. There are many people who have beautiful business plans out there, but no capital to fund them. Even when the capital is available, you don't any experience about the business climate of the business you are venturing into, its like a blind man crossing the highway unaided.
The truth of the matter is that not everyone is meant to be entreperneurs, If it were that easy, then our proffesors of business administration in our universitys, would have been top business moguls by now.
Truth be told, our politicians need to sit up! And make economic policies to would encourage investment and growth. If the economy is favourable, both entrepreneurs and employees, would be better-off.
mandarin:
Agreed but what you termed as buying and selling as in the case of Nigeria is not the way to grow an economy. Its simply importing what were produced in another country and sell in your country.
Entrepreneurs use resources in their countries to produce needs or to meet needs for example, a baker uses Nigeria made cassava flour to make bread. Tailors sow made in Nigeria Ankara or fabrics to make Aso Ebi, that is growing economy not buying from Taiwan and selling in Nigeria.
And that sector of buying and selling is about 11% of the GDP but who produce what is sold?
Growing the economy need entrepreneurs who want to meet needs in the society.
RedCapChief:
There is nothing like luck, there is only discipline, hardwork, opportunity and preparedness to take said opportunity.
