Nigerian born British politician who aims at being the next British Prime minister has been in the news of late.
She has been vocal and unapologetic about her disdain for the politics and governance of Nigeria her country of birth.
Expectedly, a lot of Nigerians, the political class, members of the ruling party and their supporters have been antagonizing her.
Kemi Badenock happens to be Yoruba by ethnicity and she affirmed so prefering to be called a Yoruba than a Nigerian.
One thing worthy of note is that those criticizing her stand are doing so based on her individual personal opinion. Hardly have I read people castigating her ethnicity or linking her anger toward Nigeria to the fact that she is from a particular ethnic group who are not happy that the president of Nigeria is a Yoruba.
Kemi is not being tagged an Ipob or Obidient who is angry because her brother 'lost' an election to the incumbent for constantly disparaging Nigeria. Her fellow Yorubas are not meant to suffer for her personal negative opinions about Nigeria.
There is no Yorubaphobia.
The Yoruba born British politician is not being told that because of her, no member of her ethnic group especially the person most of her tribesmen currently support would be allowed to become Nigeria's president.
Let's tell ourselves the truth.
If Mrs Kemi Badenock were an Igbo, how do you think the APC's propaganda machinery especially the Batists in particular would respond to her?

I believe you are an educated person.
There is nothing like Ikwerre language. What you have is Ikwerre dialect of the larger Igbo language.
For instance, most Yorubas cannot speak Ijebu dialect but all Ijebus can speak Yoruba because they are equally Yorubas.
Niger Delta is never a tribe but a region comprising of Efiks, Ijaws, Ogonis, Ibibios, Ogojas, Igbos, Edos, Urhobos, Itshekiris etc.

Ikwerre is an Igbo word meaning 'do you agree?' or 'if you agree'.
I believe that the needless debate as to whether the Ikwerre and other Igbo speaking parts of Rivers State are Igbos is hereby permanently settled by the emergence of Maazi John Azuta-Mbata as the president general of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide.
But some people are not happy to see Igbos united under one umbrella as you see on nairaland and from the response to this my thread.

His preaching today is different from his preaching when he first started. In the early days of Deeper life, members are not allowed to own tv set, you have to always look sober, unhappy. Those who owned electronics destroyed them courtesy of his preachings. Today Kumuyi's preaching is very different so is his life style. He deceived the gullible or he was gullible himself.

Pastor Kumuyi has been preaching in different parts of Nigeria and Africafor decades and winning souls as well.
There are lots of sinners over there from where Christian Missionaries came to Nigeria and God wants them saved because Christ Jesus died for all.
I am proud of what God is using him to do and will still use him to do in the United States and other countries.

Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi is still preaching against every form of sin including immorality on the tv, on phones, on social media and in the society.
He is one of the most consistent preachers in the world today.
You need to listen to him.
If you don't still agree because of your stereotyped mindset or hate, a lot of Nigerian Christians including American Christians do.

If this invitation were to be in the early days of Kumuyi's Deeper life. Kumuyi would have rejected the invitation based on the kind of his early ideology that made his members destroy their TV sets and did so many awful things in the name of religion. The Kumuyi of today is different from the Kumuyi of yesterday.

That means you don't actually know pastor William F Kumuyi.
This invitation is an open door for pastor Kumuyi to extend his GCK (Global Crusade with Kumuyi) a global evangelistic outreach which he started about three years ago to the United States and beyond.
This is also in line with the the Great Commission from our Master Jesus Christ "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature".
So every Christian should be proud of pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi.

Ikwerre is simply one of the dialects of Igbo language.
Ikwerre is a subset of Igboland just like Owerri, Ngwa, Onicha, Nsukka, Mbaise, Orlu, Anioma, Ohafia, Oguta, Ezza, Item, Abriba, Waawa etc.
Infact, Ikwerre is an Igbo word meaning 'if you agree' or 'do you agree?'
Same way the Ekitis, Ijebus, Ijeshas, Ilajes, Egbas, Okuns etc are all Yorubas despite speaking differening dialects and hailing from different states.
So it would be illogical to for an Okun man to say Yorubas should be Okuns instead of Okuns being Yorubas.
It doesn't make sense, does it?
But you are free to claim what you like.
But know this that the Nigerian political elite know who are Igbos including those who want Igbos divided.
